Not enough to fill the TD Banknorth Garden anymore, but enough to fill Conte if you add them to the dedicated--albeit small-- student/alumni/'subway alum' base. With the right marketing of hockey the sky's the limit. I'm afraid BC and GDF take us hardcore hockey fans for granted as more and more attention is being paid to basketball.Joe Gravhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06883597644631048767noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9512562.post-1165255744104849332006-12-04T13:09:00.000-05:002006-12-04T13:09:00.000-05:00you could maintain the same student sections if we...you could maintain the same student sections if we adopted the UNH design because of more rows and steeper incline, but I agree that putting students on the side is a no-brainer. BC hockey should be second only to the Bruins in Boston with BU nipping our heels. To accomplish this task we need new facilities (the re-done fieldhouse), a completely redesigned approach to marketing the program, and an aggressive drive for donations.Anabasishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06655496723571461219noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9512562.post-1165241807570080542006-12-04T09:16:00.000-05:002006-12-04T09:16:00.000-05:00If we do that can we change the seating arrangemen...If we do that can we change the seating arrangement? the sightlines suck for hockey!! particularly the student seats. If you aren't the first person there and get to sit on the glass, you pretty much can't see either net. If you ARE first, you can see one net (the other is to far). Even along the sides, the angles to the rink aren't what I'd call desirable. The only really good seats are up top.

For hoops, the sightlines are great, although I'd like to see them move the student seats closer to the court (can't they move those two rows of VIP seats somewhere else?) and also let students have the floor seats along the side.Joe Gravhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06883597644631048767noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9512562.post-1165212951887476912006-12-04T01:15:00.000-05:002006-12-04T01:15:00.000-05:00I think the time has come for a refurbished fieldh...I think the time has come for a refurbished fieldhouse equally suited for basketball and hockey. I actually loved the feel and design of UNH's Whittemore Center and I think that design is very doable and economic for Conte Forum. Oh yeah, air conditioning too.Anabasishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06655496723571461219noreply@blogger.com
