Winning the series against the #4 team in the country is pretty good. They also won a series against Clemson earlier in the year when they were ranked in the top 10. BC has quite a few good young players (most of the team consists of underclass men) esp. Jacob Stevens. They could be pretty good in the next few years. Their future is probably the brightest compared to basketball or football. In all of these troubles in the athletic department, a sad pattern is emerging. There is a "malaise" that you can't quite put your finger on. Since all of the coaches go back to one source, you have to suspect that Bates is the problem. GDF had his problems as every AD does. You can find the source of the slide in his decision to go after Jags. Spaz had to be involved. This was not common sense on the part of GDF. He slit his own throat. Jags had no chance to get the Jets job. Jags wanted out of the college babysitting cycle. BC then had to pay off his salary.
