Not saying they'll be competing for an ACC championship but they should have a decent year. We are competing against programs that have the best coaches, a legacy of high level success and have talent that we cannot procure as consistently(for regional and academic reasons).

If we are a)beating Duke, WF, Virginia, UCONN, NC State and Syracuse b)winning our out of conference games(typically third rate programs) and c)competitive against FSU, Clemson, VT, Louisville, ND at home then I don't complain much.

The problem I have with Dazzler(and the program right now) is that the o-line has not improved. We absolutely need that to be successful against very good teams. The other concern I have going forward is the secondary. Don Brown recruited and "coached up" consistent talent in those positions(we have a good players sporadically but not the NFL level talent that Brown supplied every year) but his players are moving on.knuckleheadhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04805180161124683145noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9512562.post-87349744429380413402017-06-17T11:45:46.718-04:002017-06-17T11:45:46.718-04:00JBQ, Don't worry. We need to get off the graduate transfer merry-go-round and do a better job of developing football and basketball players. And do a better job of retaining the latter.bceagle91https://www.blogger.com/profile/00982786161321083825noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9512562.post-87246408920647481272017-06-17T10:59:35.705-04:002017-06-17T10:59:35.705-04:00@Georgia Eagle: The pain just won't go away. Anyone reading this blog knows that record was a lot of smoke and mirrors. We saw 3 absolute blowout losses and padded our record with out of conference patsies. With a more difficult schedule next year, we're probably looking at 4-8 or 5-7 (though the latter could make us bowl-eligible). With a new AD, I would think a record like that would trigger a review. I can't see us being competitive with Clemson, FSU and Louisville.bceagle91https://www.blogger.com/profile/00982786161321083825noreply@blogger.com
