Duke, Virginia and Syracuse have played well this year, we need to dominate the line like we did vs Clemson to win.BC78LHhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07890103117693093361noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9512562.post-6264765110813308432010-11-08T17:29:11.704-05:002010-11-08T17:29:11.704-05:00Last year with the same talent level and same coac...Last year with the same talent level and same coaches, including Tranq, we were winning games, but not so much this year.

One big difference is we had Gunnell last year. Shinskie was not better than Rettig. Tennant was a big loss. Center and key receiver, I guess is the difference

As to center, when is Spinney going to get the snapping down? Geez. I think he screwed up 2 snaps. How hard can that be? (that being said, I cross my fingers every time there is a punt or FG snap ... I think we've been lucky to avoid disasters there .. did I just jinx it...oh no!!... ahh.. I knocked on wood)mod34bhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18129365485893573618noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9512562.post-73416675294437027492010-11-08T17:13:11.881-05:002010-11-08T17:13:11.881-05:00The first series after the half was also a Nyquil ...The first series after the half was also a Nyquil gem (his 2d half performance this year has been horrifying). A third and out without any hope at a first down...that was salvaged only because Wake fumbled the punt.

Wake is horrible. They turned the ball over five times. And they were still in the game until the last four minutes of the 4th Quarter. The 25% 3rd down conversion rate is all his. Set up by his all too predictable first and second down calls. The reason the O-line didn't run roughshod over the Wake D-line earlier is that they were never in the game long enough to wear them down. You put a breathing, thinking OC in there, improve that 3rd down conversion rate from 25% to 50% or more, and you will see the opposing D-line fade much earlier in the game. Third down calls were particularly atrocious, including some strange pass plays (always coming up a yard short) when we actually should have run. These kids deserve better.Eddierockhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14629531306290371271noreply@blogger.com
