I woke up with a good feeling. Despite all the evidence saying the season is over, I still believe in these guys. Today begins the turnaround (I hope)! You can leave your thoughts here during the game.
You can also join the conversation on the Eagle Insider message boards.
I will also be tweeting at times during the game.
"I woke up with a good feeling."
ReplyDeleteThat's called "morning wood," and it has nothing to do with football unless you're weird. I like your spirit though, ATL.
GOOOOOO, EAGLES!
My senior year, BC went 4-8.
ReplyDeleteDo not let that happen again.
Go BC
Good start for Quigs kicking it into the end zone.
ReplyDeleteWow! Albright made the first tackle?
ReplyDeleteGood call ESPN OCHO
Pick 6. Wow!!!!
ReplyDeleteIs Newman not starting at DE
ReplyDeleteGood move if true. Guy has been a ghost out there
LOL the red zone O is really awful.
ReplyDeleteGood pass to momah.
ReplyDeleteToo many Harris runs
Settle for FG.
Blah.....
Rettig has good eluding skills. Nice good athlete
ReplyDeleteHarris is looking more than decent today. And so is the line. If we could only get the passing game going.
ReplyDeleteHere we go, another red zone appearance. Lets see what Tranquill has up his sleeve (maybe a few dives up the middle to keep the D honest?)
ReplyDeleteRettig looks great, it still baffles me that Shinskie/Marso were determined more competent than him. He is head and shoulders better than them.
Can Ryan Day remind Coleman that he is a ginormous human being and needs to fight to get open/ try and go get balls?
ReplyDeleteHopefully the D scores soon.
if rettig had some WRs to throw to and an actual game plan, he can be a great QB.
ReplyDeleteLovely call to go with the wheel there off the play-action! Lovely!
ReplyDeleteIdiot announcers called him Montel Williams...
ReplyDeleteDominik Scafe, Montel Williams, Frank Spaziano. These guys can't even read, can they?
ReplyDeleteDoes it really matter if they mess up a few names.?
ReplyDeleteMontel has 23 carries in the first half! Get Andre or Sterlin or Deuce in the game. Spread those carries around.
ReplyDeleteSterlin quit team, deuce is out for season
ReplyDeleteO-line creating some great holes today.
ReplyDeleteJesus Williams is a bruiser.
ReplyDeleteHarris + Williams = Thunder and Lightning?
What the hell Spaz?! Too cowardly to even take a shot at the endzone?! Way to play for the win, you coward.
ReplyDeleteI do like the grinding offensive playcalling today. BC is controlling the line of scrimmage and keeping Clemson off the field. With that said, the red zone offensive playcalling is atrocious. Running up the middle continuously is not going to cut it, esp. when Clemson knows what is coming. Also, I can't stand the fact that BC is not trying to score a TD here at the end of the half. They just seem to be settling for a FG. Spaz and Tranq are absolutely gutless. What is there to lose
ReplyDeletemod: I was not aware of those absences. Thanks for the update. And good grief did the O-line show up today! I'd love to see more of Andre as the season goes on.
ReplyDeleteSettle for FG
ReplyDeleteComplete bs
But impressive first half. The BC team we expected
Spaz is an absolute jackass. That interview was horrible. Where's the energy? Where's the passion? How about complimenting players like Harris and the o-line? He sounds like his mother just died. And those excuses on why he settled for the FG were bullshit. How about being confident in your team and taking a damn chance. No wonder why everyone hates your guts. What a clown.
ReplyDeleteWow, I'm one of the few admitted Spaz supporters, but Jesus why not take a shot at the endzone?
ReplyDeleteNow, a smart OC uses our first half ground success and the half time break to draw up a second half first drive that let's Rettig start bombing it.
Odds Tranq does this? ~10% ?
Who's that kid that's always with Spaz on the sidelines?
ReplyDeleteCan we let him call the offensive plays.
Great first half, GO EAGLES!!!
My god, Spaz acted at halftime like Tranquil just told him his bathtub has been next to Spaz' wife's, if you know what I mean.
ReplyDeleteThat said, I do agree with taking the points and not forcing it into the zone at the end.
Montel looks awesome; I like Rettig's play overall.
If Tranq is gonna refuse to let Rettig sling it, then he has to switch Harris/ Williams more otherwise he's gonna get Montel killed.
ReplyDeleteAh, so the regular offense is back. Wonderful. Would love to see PA-pass on 1st or 2nd down this half.
ReplyDeleteI'm gonna get a bag of butterscotch and make a trail from the booth to the reservoir and then push Tranq in.
ReplyDeleteAnyone wanna help?
Wow, Miami might just have eclipsed us for worst QB situation of the season.
ReplyDeleteStarter just went down, backup has been out, 3rd string just threw 2 INTs and got pulled 4th string just got his redshirt burned and tossed in.
I hope Spaz gets booed off the field. Talk about having a lack of testicular fortitude.
ReplyDeleteU r right bbill. Spaz - as always - is playing not to lose.
ReplyDeleteWe just need a FG - something we actually excel at!
ReplyDeleteQuigley is a little off today
ReplyDeleteWatch them go into a prevent defense here with 3ish minutes left. Watch Clemson march down the field and score the winning TD.
ReplyDeleteOh thank God for that INT. Parker could have written War and Peace-like novels back there the last few plays.
ReplyDeleteMan, the defense has been awesome today! Three turnovers now and only three points against. The offense was pretty meh, as usual. The defense has been great, though. They really won this one for us.
ReplyDeleteSame old Clemson.
ReplyDeleteGreat defensive performance.
Gary Tranquill was Clemson's MVP.
Goes to show what a little offense can do for the defense.
ATL, your good feeling finally paid off.
Holy Shit!
ReplyDeletegreat W. nice to see some pride from the players.
ReplyDeletetranquill is the worst. when your career highlight is "offensive coordinator for a team ranked #1 in 1990" you know its time to step aside.
spaz had typical gutless strategy playing not to lose down the stretch, luckily the football gods were on our side.

ReplyDelete"Holy Shit!"
I second that.
SWEET! Really proud of our guys. Anyone else see Shinskie going nuts after the final interception? Must not be easy going from starter all the way down, nice to see him still right there after a big play.
ReplyDeleteThe chuckin' charlie trophy is back where it should be.
ReplyDeleteGreat day!
ReplyDeleteRettig looks like he is progressing nicely. A few bad throws but hits open receivers with conviction and shows nice scrambling ability. Really can't wait to see him with Larmond because a legit deep threat would really make things easier for Montel.
