Herbstreit just picked BC over USC. I'm a little worried about USC feeling like their backs are against the wall and coming up really fired up. But, BC can come in with confidence and with the knowledge that they have nothing to lose. No one expects them to beat BC (except Kirk)so the pressure is all on the Trojans. If BC can strike early and get the boo birds out, I think the Eagles have a chance.
ReplyDeleteI am at the Coliseum and it is hot on a cloudless day.
ReplyDeleteWe ate on all white uniforms and the team was all business getting off the bus.
Go BC-beat USCj
Sorry for typos
ReplyDeleteBjk where you sitting?
DeleteOur university's motto seems especially appropriate today:
ReplyDelete"He sent me to TROY with strict instructions: Ever to excel, to do better than others, and to bring glory to your forebears, who indeed were very great ... This is my ancestry; this is the blood I am proud to inherit."
Plenty of empty seats at Kickoff.
ReplyDeleteNot a bad opening drive all things considered. Loved passing to Naples.
ReplyDeleteDoes anyone have a link to an audio feed that is actually streaming?
ReplyDeleteThe USC O-line is crushing the BC defense. I just hope we can keep close until the end.
ReplyDeleteThe official website has a link to the radio feed. Go to schedule and click on the USC game.
ReplyDeleteOuch, my biggest fear was USC would score early, gain some confidence and then wear BC down. The BC offense must answer here or it will be a long, long afternoon.
ReplyDeleteToo many plays where we were just a step too slow.
ReplyDeleteIs the game on any radio inBoston? I've got the stream but I'd like to get it in the car . It's not on weei or wrko
ReplyDeleteWe are playing it very safe on offense. I know USC has issues but we still need to take some chances.
ReplyDeleteWell, the offense did not answer, but the defense did. Great sack by Kasim and nice defensive stand.
ReplyDeleteC'mon offense, help he D boys out!
Bringing pressure paid off. D needs to keep it up.
ReplyDeleteIt is amazing how much our tackling has improved year to year, especially in the secondary. When our DBs hit a guy, he goes down.
ReplyDeletePlay calling wad better. Results weren't. Freese doing work.
ReplyDeleteWe need to get some 1st downs and keep that D off the field.
ReplyDeleteWe need to eliminate that 3rd down dump off to Dudeck. He doesn't seem capable of picking up the first down.
ReplyDeleteWell that was an unfortunate blown coverage.
ReplyDeleteA friend at the game says Lee has been single covered all game with minimal help over the top. It was only a matter of time.

ReplyDeleteGame over. You can't leave Lee wide open like that.
ReplyDeleteThe Spaz talent gap is clearly evident in this game. We cannot compete with the big boys and, unfortunately, until Daz gets his players on campus with a couple years of experience, this will be the norm for a couple years. At least 2016 has promise.
Offense needs to answer now. Playing it close now not an option.
ReplyDeleteOh well, at least Alabama is also getting smoked 14-0.
ReplyDeleteThe skill position difference was obvious. I had hoped Daz would work some miracles on the oline. Not today.
ReplyDeleteNot a great half. A little sign of life though. Rettig needs to play much better.
ReplyDeleteMike I am in sec 5 row 49 seat 1 and 2 behind BC bench 20yard line.
ReplyDeleteUSC is tough for us for sure- let's score out of the gate.
ReplyDeleteIs Amidon hurt? Crimmins is getting the ball tossed his way but he had at least 3 drops at critical times. He needs to step up his play and help Rettig out. Or, forget Crimmins and go to Amidon if he is not hurt.
ReplyDeleteRettig is pressing. Needed his best. Not getting it.
ReplyDeleteAmidon can't get open
ReplyDeleteKPL hamstring problem oh boy
ReplyDeleteSC is too fast for the trapping.
ReplyDeleteDoes Addazio not have the QB sneak in his playbook? You are not going to get a yard running way over to the left.
ReplyDeleteLosing charge go BC
ReplyDeleteBC has to open the play book and quit this running up the middle nonsense. Has not and will not work. And how about a QB dive there instead of handing the ball off 7 yards behind the line of scrimmage.
ReplyDeleteAnd in speaking of the USC offense, it looks much better when they actually throw the ball beyond the line of scrimmage. What the hell was Kiffin thinking last week?
ReplyDeleteMan, I hate Spaz! Why do we have to pay that asshole $1,000,000 for destroying our program and making us an embarrassment? Fortunately, no one is watching this debacle.
ReplyDeleteCan BC just not throw the ball normally down the field? Play action takes too much time to develop.
ReplyDeleteThis game is out of reach. No use getting Rettig hurt in mop-up play. Why not toss in one of the other QBs and see if they can provide some kind of spark to this abysmal offense?
ReplyDeleteThat comment could have applied to the entire game really.
ReplyDeleteOffense has not adjusted well.
ReplyDeleteUtter embarrassment. We just hit USC at the wrong time. You never want to play an opponent backed into a corner. Although I should not be upset. The first thing I said several years ago when this game was scheduled was "there's a guaranteed loss." And that was when BC was reasonably good.
ReplyDeleteBC was way too conservative on offense the entire game and took zero chances. Never threw the ball down the field. Just kept running and play actions (which took forever and almost killed Rettig). Terrible game plan. Ryan Day's doing maybe?
ReplyDeleteThe freshmen looked good. And we avoid the shutout.
ReplyDeleteAllthough USC has more offensive speed and size, it's commendable that BC kept their penalties to a minimum.
ReplyDeleteUSC defensive line had too much power, But obviously with the last BC touchdown they are NOT giving up..... And that will be the take-home message.
Keyes hurt
ReplyDeleteI knew we were in trouble when I saw the Wake score at 2:45.
