In-game comments post: Virginia Tech
Lane Stadium has been the end of many BC hot streaks. But on occasion, we've pulled off a big win that propels us through the rest of the season. What will it be today?
Shabby, I have been impressed with the game-calling the past 3 weeks. This offense is really hard to defend when defenses have to watch the run, the trick plays and the play-action. If Brown can calm down and improve his passing, the offense can have a huge day.
Shabby, I have been concerned with Brown for weeks now. He is a mediocre passer at best. Perry is a better runner than Brown and if he can pass just a bit better, I think he gives us a better chance. Imagine this team with a Flutie, Foley, Peterson or Matt Ryan at quarterback. We would be unstoppable
We need a spark. Brown is incapable of giving us the spark. Every QB we face is better than him. It is time to make a change. Daz, leadership is about making courageous decisions. Make it now or this game is over.
Saban made a QB change in the national title game for God's sake. Iowa State has not lost since going with a true freshman quarterback a few weeks ago (the change was made during the game). BC needs to make a change now.
Watching this is painful. AB is not capable as a thrower and he never runs. At least Perry would run once in a while. The offense looks horrendous today. Brown can't hit anyone. Even his completed passes are behind receivers, low or short or first down markers.
Win or lose, can we now stop looking ahead? Seriously. With Daz as head coach, every game is an adventure and not in a good way. #DecideToChokeDueToIncreasedExpectations
What a "sorry-a--ed" passing exhibition. With 1:24 on a time out, Daz patted him on the helmet. With 1:00 left in the half, Daz asked him how he was. Under such circumstances, you have to pull him. VT has 9 men on the block and AB can't pass. AJ is then only gaining 2 yards per. Walker was wide open and a blind man could have hit him for a TD. Sweeney was open on a middle screen and he could have scored. ---- Willis transferred in from Kansas and he can really pass. If BC loses, they are looking at a 6-6 season. Daz doesn't want to hurt the confidence of AB. So, let the team die to protect the fragile ego of someone who can't pass.----Clemson put up 77 today and if AB looks the same, they will light up the scoreboard with even more. Either Daz pulls AB or he sets in motion a scenario where he loses his job and gets his retirement money of 5 million guaranteed by Floppo and his idiotic three tear extension.
Daz will now run up the middle on every play now. He doesn't have the balls to try a new QB. He should be using the half to get another QB set. Brown doesn't have the eyes, release speed or throwing touch at this level. Kid needs to run with the ball but won't unless its built into the play. No fire - no intensity.
Honestly, this game is probably done with the way the team has been playing. Playcalling sucks. Brown sucks. Game to VT with the momentum swinging their way.
My programmer is trying to persuade me to move to .net from PHP. I have always disliked the idea because of the costs. But he’s tryiong none the less. I’ve been using Movable-type on numerous websites for about a year and am concerned about switching to another platform. I have heard excellent things about blogengine.net. Another 3rd down pass short of the sticks. Brown's accuracy continues to be a huge question mark. He completely blew that 2nd down toss.
