Or was it generally believed that his best years were due more to having Coen and Cooley by his side? It's easy to look back fondly after experiencing the Donahue and early Christian years.

Napolean Bonapartehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02400468172192375595noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9512562.post-24000519547774419412018-03-05T22:33:18.605-05:002018-03-05T22:33:18.605-05:00BC needs the tourney next year. Just lacked the depth to put games away and execute without their core 5 guys on the floor.

Speaking of Al... how is his science project going down at Kennesaw State? If not - then the patience will have surely run out. Not sure what Jarmond's expectations will be for next year - probably NIT and a deep run in that tournament at a minimum. I think we are treading water with JC - truly hope he proves me wrong. These are kids, relatively speaking, he is coaching and he needs to light a fire and keep it positive. But all irrelevant compared to wins and losses. He's most fortunate to have earned another year with a mere 5 extra conference wins compared to where he stood at the beginning of the season (i.e., 2-34 in the last two years in ACC). He and his staff have a terrific opportunity next season - let's see if they can make the most of that opportunity by applying their skills and making substantial progress in the W-L column such that nobody will give a crap about wardrobes and courtside demeanor. Given that the NIT field is only 32 teams, and every conference champ who slips up in their conference tourney and is not selected to the NCAA tourney as an at large is guaranteed a spot in the NIT, I don't think they are getting in without at least two wins in the ACC tourney, and maybe three. Syracuse, ND, Louisville, Nebraska, Penn State, Davidson, Ok State, Utah, Stanford, Oregon, Washington, Alabama, Georgia, Miss State, Marquette, BYU....there are a boatload of teams that are in line for NIT spots ahead of BC. BC could enter the CBI tournament if they are looking for extra practice time and to continue their season, but many schools do not participate in that because it is usually a money loser. Teams have to pay to enter that, and the games are played in empty arenas against non descript mid majors from God knows where. A BC-South Dakota CBI matchup would not exactly move the needle.Gerryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04729204068498756484noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9512562.post-36906030119710043102018-03-04T08:59:49.425-05:002018-03-04T08:59:49.425-05:00Al Skinner often did not wear a tie. Each time Christian had a meeting with FSU’s coach and the refs down the stretch, I thought about that comment in regard to Christian never wearing a tie. Coach Hamilton looked put together and his team played that way down the stretch. Clearly just wearing s tie wouldn’t add 5 wins to this season, but I think it’s not too much for the athletic department to ask/put in our head basketball coaches contract. As it stands the casual look ain’t getting it done either.curranachttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14559982291519143301noreply@blogger.com
