Jags gets first national commercial

I've already pissed plenty of people off by saying that BC shouldn't be lumped into the Boston backlash, but this is pretty cool. Good for Jags.

  1. How cool is that!!! God, I wish I was in Boston right now, not stuck deep in SEC territory.

  2. Hey,
I was wondering if anyone had a link to the ABC coverage map for this weekend. I am out in Los Angeles and I saw that the game is not picked up on Gameplan. Im scared that ABC may show the Oklahoma game out here and Ill be screwed out of watching the Eagles

  3. My sister sent me this last night and I thought of your previous posting. It made me laugh.

Not sure if you posted this already but have you heard that College Gameday will be at the Heights this weekend?

  4. Exactly what is the "Boston backlash". At BC we always were told "ein aristuein". " Ever to Excel". So the people of Boston and many of the local sports teams manage to excel. Nobel prizes, Pulitzer prizes. BC, Harvard, MIT etc. Red Sox, Patriots, BC, and maybe even the Celtics this year. Is this not a good thing?

this link, from an Oregon local newspaper, is to an article saying that Gameday will definitely be in Eugene, OR for the 4 Oregon - 5 ASU game. can't really blame them, though i thought they should have been there this past weekend. oh well.

I also live out in Los Angeles, but I have to travel all this weekend so I probably will have to listen to the BC vs. Fla.State game on the radio.

  7. We need to come up with a tagline, similar to "Miracle in Miami." I'm stumped. All I can come up with is "Brilliance in Blacksburg" or "Blitzkrieg in Blacksburg" (although it was only a blitzkrieg for 4 minutes).

The national college football fans are still not giving any credit to BC. We are going to have to win out, a very tall order, in order to earn any national respect. At least the Red Sox are done so the Eagles should get a little more support at home. C'mon Boston, baseball is a 20th century sport. Time to get on the bandwagon.

  8. I hope that no one is satisfied just with winning at VTech. We need to take the Florida State game seriously. Considering the way we won and how spent everyone is emotionally after that thursday night game, FSU could set up as a fall. I dont know about you guys but I'm ready for an offensive explosion on Saturday. Hopefully the weather is perfect and Ryan continues to shine.
