Infomercial

I often get approached to sell different things on the blog. As you can tell, I pass on most opportunities. Yet I thought these BC calendars might be a good match for the blog and an Internet company looking to reach Eagle fans. [Full disclosure: I get a piece of every sale I send their way.]

The calendar includes program covers from classic BC games in the '40s and '50s. The art work is great and it made me long for the day when we played teams like Ole Miss and LSU. I don't know how many people actually use wall calendars anymore, but it makes a good present for a BC fan who collect Eagles memorabilia. Take a look. Through this link, you get a 10% discount on all purchases.

If you buy, let me know what you think. I won't do this again if people have a negative experience.

  1. Looks cool...I just bought one for my husband for Christmas. We have a BC theme in our office so this will be a nice touch! I'll keep you posted on the delivery process.

  2. Looks great Bill- thanks for the heads up. It can be hard to locate unique BC stuff in the sea of angry chickens, but I think you've done it...

  3. Grandpa Eagle's Christmas gift. Thanks. He probably was at half these games.

  4. College football program covers were a thing of beauty. The hand-crafted touch is a nice call-back and I wish schools would go back to that, instead of the over-Photoshop-filtered "let's cram all sorts of lighting and players and stadium and lightning" approach of today.

  7. I have previously written about the first 3 games of my freshman year in 1964 - Syracuse, at Army and at Tennessee. (Listening to the Army and Tennessee games on the radio - believe it or not - was very exciting.)

I was also at the Air Force Game at Alumni Stadium on October 24, 1964 - fantastic. The AF Drum and Bugle Corps and the Falcon "show" - this is what college football is all about.

Thanks Bill - I'll get this just for that one program cover. Great idea.

  8. is there even going to be a program for our game against uri next year? are they just going to use the drivers license photos from the "players" on the uri "football team"?
