What's ahead and other links

The Globe and the Herald both did a good job laying out the season ahead. Don't lose faith just yet. Our defense is still very good and our conference is still very bad.

There were NFL scouts on hand Saturday. They were there to see defensive players.

Former Eagle Chris Lambert got his first MLB win.

The Cowboys cut James Marten. Supposedly they want to move him to the practice squad, but releasing a second year player you spent a third round choice on is not a good sign. I am surprised Marten has struggled. I thought he'd be a very good NFL lineman.

Why is it that in Fox's Week #2 Action (photos of college football), that our debacle against Tech gets the "glorious" treatment of 3 photos out of 31.

Equaled only by the 3 photos from the Michigan game in terms of highest photo count for any given game.
