You tell 'em, Jags!

Jags silenced media members with his retort during Wednesday's conference call. When asked about our tough schedule he responded:
"Guess who else they're going to be tough for? All those teams that we play."

You can listen to the exchange here.

  1. Love it.

The fact that it pissed Long Neck off makes it that much better.

  2. You could tell that what pissed Jags off was how the reporter asked the question. He rattled off our schedule and said "those are all "loseable" games for you guys, you guys will have to play well to win, can you talk about that".

That's a remarkably shitty question from someone who has the ability to call into the teleconference, and I think Jags did beautifully.

  3. Do we know the douche that asked that question? Was it one of our locals? HD?

    You go, Jags, you mavrick!

  4. Eagle1 -

please don't say "maverick" in association with BC. I hear enough of that word used on tv, the news and commercials lately.

    Thanks haha

  5. That one comment from Jags sent the message boards on ESPN into a tizzy (I'll summarize the VT comments- "Jags is classless"). I didn't think it was a big deal at all, just a straight answer to a poorly posed question.

  6. Finally, a presidential candidate... whoops, I mean a head coach with a backbone.

    Jags is awesome.

  7. VT calling Jags classless? This is the university that embraced the Vick brothers for eight years, right? What silly fruitcakes.

The only thing about Jags that VT has the right to criticize is Jags' dance technique as demonstrated on the VT field last year.

  9. Agree completely with Chi- Jags didn't seem too antagonistic, simply sticking up for his team after a moderately condescending question.

VT is in no position to talk about class: they're just a step above Rutgers or a WV.
