  1. Also to get people pumped for Fenway...NESN was showing classic BC-BU games all day as well as the Battle for Comm. Ave special. I think they will be showing some more BC-BU classics tomorrow and/or Friday too.

  2. Funny to see the current (York) and previous BC Hockey Coach (Milbury - even if it was for 30 days or less).

  3. Please address the rumor about no alcohal sales during the game.

    THIS CAN'T BE TRUE!!!

  4. Vinny,

Not to worry. From the Hockey East website:

What is the alcoholic beverage policy for the Sun Life Frozen Fenway?

Alcohol is served at Fenway Park at various Aramark vending stations throughout the ballpark. Fans must be of legal drinking age and must produce valid Government issued identification to be served. Guests will not be allowed to bring alcohol into and out of the ballpark. Beer will be served beginning from 4:00 p.m. and will last till the end of the second intermission of the second game (BU vs. BC) or will be shut off at management’s discretion.

  6. As mentioned a few weeks ago Friday Night Lights was taping on the Boston College campus. The episode can be seen on casttv.com if you do a search for friday night lights and its the most recent episode. Apparently, BC gets much love with Julie having BC as her #1 choice and half the episode centers on her admission interview. Nice pub for BC.

  12. From wiki:

"Garrett Gilbert (born July 1991) is an American football quarterback. He currently attends the University of Texas at Austin in his freshman year. Gilbert is regarded as one of the best quarterbacks of his class and was named the 2008 Offensive Player of the Year by USA Today.

The son of former NFL quarterback Gale Gilbert attended Lake Travis High School in Austin, Texas, where he broke the state record for most passing yards in a season with 4,827 yards during his junior season. The record was previously held by Graham Harrell. Gilbert again broke the same record his senior season, after compiling 4,851 passing yards. He finished his high school career with 12,537 passing yards, another state record which was previously held by Harrell.

  13. Apparently so. Just took him a little while to get it in gear.
That's part of what worries me about looking ahead with Dave. After a whole season he still struggled to look past his first or sometimes second receiver.
At first this Gilbert kid kept locking in on his primary target, but throughout the course of the game he has settled in and is more patient.
I don't know if Dave will ever get that.

  14. Dave's got 9 mos to practice. It should makea huge difference for next year. let's hope so.

but Texas is a whole nother scene.
