Herzy's return and other links

Mark Herzlich describe his goals for his return and his recent progress with HD. Despite the inevitable hype surrounding his potential season, Herzy seems to have a good perspective:
“There’s no set timetable because no one’s done this,” Herzlich said. “The way it’s been progressing, I see myself being ready by then -- it’s a couple months away -- but if the strength, flexibility and mobility isn’t there, then I’m not jumping in when I’m not perfectly ready.”

I don't know what sort of impact Mark will have next year but I really look forward to talking about his play instead of his health.

The defending Junior College champions are happy to have Justin Tuggle on their team.

Jags' name is being mentioned for the ECU job. If he wants a college job, this might be the best fit out there.

The women's team lost to Maryland. (It might be a long winter watching any BC basketball.)

  1. Any idea what Haden's next move is?

  2. Maybe if Jags takes the ECU job, Haden can join him and Dominique Davis. Then they can change the school name to Sloppy Seconds U.

Great news about Herzlich!! I will use this encouraging story and each B-ball nightmare as another chance to lobby for a Football Spring Game countdown clock.

  3. If the Jets had hired Jags, I don't think they'be in the AFC Divisional Playoffs right now.

Also strange to hear his name at USF since its the same city that booted him at the NFL level.

ECU might be a good option, and he can go up against Beamer & TOB if the schedules are set up for it.

Ironically, Blinn defeated another former Boston College quarterback, Dominique Davis, in its victory over Fort Scott (Kan.) in the NJCAA national championship game. Davis had transferred from Boston College to Fort Scott the year before."

    This is pretty funny...

  5. Are Border & Rettig on campus, getting acquainted with the bubble?

  6. Bordner, Rettig, and Pierre-Louis as well as Heslip are all attending mid-year orientation right now. All seem to be pretty solid guys so far.

One year later and does anyone still question what Gene did with Jags? USC and UT deserve each other? We had a good season with a coach who wants to be here and we lost a bowl game to a team about to go on probation. I am thankful for what we have.

  8. Jags doesnt want to be a coach in college. He wants to ride matt ryan's coat tails.

Also if we lose to Maryland at home, do fans show up for the UNC game?

And the spring game is going to tbe the biggest event since the bowl game.

  9. I'm so glad the Jags situation last year didn't turn into anything near that mess in Lubbock...

  10. Not many schools can go through 3 coaches in 4 years and have a winning record each and every season. I think it speaks to the quality of the "BC guys" on the roster and their determination to compete no matter what the obstacles. This has been the best stretch of BC football ever and I hope Spaz can keep it going and hopefully lead BC to the next level. He sure seems to recruit well.

  11. I bet Rettig is breathing a sigh of relief seeing all the nonsense he missed by picking BC over Tennessee.
