BC on TV (and Hulu)

The Friday Night Lights episode filmed on campus last year finally aired this week. You can now view it online. Although I saw the movie and heard good things about the series, this will probably be the first and last episode of FNL that I watch. I guess I am just desperate to see football and BC anywhere. At times I wish I could fast forward the summer so that football will be on again.

  1. Love FNL; it's one of the few shows I actually watch regularly. Saw the BC episode and wished they had shown more of campus, etc. I did notice that they showed an outdoor clock with "Boston University" prominently displayed. Oh well.

  3. I'll probably watch the BC episode because I love seeing our beautiful campus. But read the book, everyone!! It's one of the best sports books every written. It will surely get you over that "summer with no football" hump! You'll find yourself rooting for the team, even though the games were played 22 years ago. Plus I lived in Midland (right next to Odessa) for a year and a half...and while things are different now, the book is stunningly true to life.

  6. What was the premise and plot that brought them to Bos Col?

  7. FNL is the best show on TV - NBC completely bungled the marketing of it. You should watch it from the beginning - the last two seasons are short so it is really only three seasons long.

The premise that involved BC was the lead characters' daughter's college search. She has always talked about going to a really good school - Brown and Duke were mentioned in previous shows - but this was her trip away to look at schools. The flip side of the story is that when she is away she appreciates Dylan, TX, the smaller town where the series is set.
