ReplyDeleteYeah, they think the defense is getting pressure by just rushing the front four. Yeah right. Also, just heard them say "Richmand Costanzo".

ReplyDelete3 missed tackles on that drive killed us. Also, they are getting no pressure on the QB. He had all day on that 4th and 10 conversion.

ReplyDeleteGlad to see Montel getting some room to run. The line is definitely opening up some nice cut-back lanes for him. Also liked Rettig keeping it on the option, even if the play was called back by a penalty.
Yes, ESPN3 sucks...almost as bad as these announcers. They keep calling Spaz, Spazianno. I can understand getting some the names of the players wrong from time to time, but the head coach? Unacceptable.

ReplyDeleteOpen receiver again on the TD. It may be a zone, guys, but you have to COVER the receivers. Three defenders covering no one with a wide-open receiver between them.
ReplyDeleteIn our zone defense, that park of the field is always open. I think they ran that play three times on that drive alone. In the red zone, you'd think McGovern would switch up our defense somehow to take that option away. If I were Maryland, I would just run that play all day!
ReplyDeleteWow, Momah is absolutely useless in the passing game. That interception is all on Momah. Ball was on his hands and he reacted like he wasn't expecting the ball. I just feel bad for Chase.

I absolutely have no faith in this staff's ability to put the best players on the field. The QB situation has been beat to death, but Momah does not deserve to be starting. It also took LeGrande's absence for Noel to get on the field. Apparently, it helps having a safety who can play the ball in the air.

I wish we would run a dime defense just one time. If I were playing BC, I would throw into the soft zone or to the receiver who's being covered by a slower linebacker every time.
