Montel Harris out for Clemson

Per the Globe:

"Montel had an MRI and he had a little swelling so we are shutting him down," said Spaziani. "They just did the MRI. I haven't had time to discuss with Montel, but he isn't playing this week and next week we have off."

I don't know what Montel wants, but I hope he shuts it down for the season. He can still get a medical redshirt and comeback for his fifth year.

  3. Unreal - they have really mismanaged this player. Was his knee injury misdiagnosed and was his operation botched?

    This makes me sad.

Our RBs are good, but they are not Montel.

JBQ - do you think Montel would actually come back?

  4. What a waste, if he doesn't end up reshirting. What a terrific player and hard-working guy! I hope he does redshirt, so that maybe he can finish out his college years healthy and in a better playing environment.

  5. The ultimate tragedy to this season. Fortunately, he was able to capture a BC record he so deserved, but this is not the season for him to continuously make something out of nothing. He needs to protect himself so that he can enjoy the rest of his life. If he didn't return next year I could not blame him.

  6. I'm so sad for Montel. If he was rushed back in an effort to right the Titanic, it is nothing short of sinful. I can't imagine him wanting to come back if the situation doesn't drastically change.

  7. he was Glaspered. just awful, and to do it to someone who is what bc is all about. awful.

thanks for all the memories montel, ill never forget you putting up 250+ and 4-5 TDs vs TOB and NCState. Or pounding the ball into the endzone in 08 against FSU on that sweep play to the left.

  8. Montel is a class-act. Hope he takes care of himself first. I don't blame him if he ends it here.

  9. Glasper was rushed backed for scholarship reasons. He knew it wasn't there for him the next year. Montel was rushed back for coaching reasons. He was supposed to save Spaz's name and he wasn't willing to tolerate another year of inept offense, respectflly so. It sucks it may end this way and I wish him the best in the NFL... if he gets the shot with this terrible injury history forced upon him...

  11. HAHA.

I just tried to go to the Clemson Athletics official webpage and my work's firewall blocked it.

"This Websense category is filtered: Sport Hunting and Gun Clubs. "

Is it some type of North vs The South thing? That's crazy.

  12. Is it worth red shirting Montel? Part of me thinks he might just never fully recover from these nagging injuries. He's been injured for about ten months now or so without being fully recovered.

I spoke with Ryan the night before the 2006 bowl game and I know for a fact he didn't see it that way.

  15. Hold up, I think you're misunderstanding me here.

I was trying to say Ryan got screwed by O'Brien. I think anyone who thinks otherwise is lying to themselves.

I attempted to compare the two situations, rather than differentiate like the previous poster did. By not elaborating I did a poor job.
