If you measure enthusiasm for BC football based on in-game comments, then people are really down on the team. I think people are beyond complaining and the team is not providing many highlights to cheer about. Today we are favored. Maybe our luck will finally turn. Leave your comments and thoughts below.

Two Words I Never Thought I Would Say About BC Football: Who Cares!
ReplyDeleteLong-time fan here. Attended almost every home game (and some road games) for ten years. I don't even watch on TV these days. BC football is dead. Wake me when Spaz is gone and we're at least competitive again.
ReplyDeleteWhat a shame, this BC Football under Frank Spaziani.
ReplyDeleteI would have been happy for the guy if he was even half decent.
Now I just want him gone like everyone else.
I hate to be a cynic but that fumble seems like a game changer.
ReplyDeleteWell I think it's too early in the game for it to be that. But obviously not ideal.
ReplyDeleteI'm with Walter. Defense just stopped them from scoring. Still three quarters of football to play. Or in Spaz's case, a quarter.
ReplyDeleteOk. We lucked out on points off of thr fumble. But we need more pressure.
ReplyDeleteIs that really a good fourth down to go for it. Spotting them the ball at the 40.
ReplyDeleteFor those at the game: any guesses on attendance?
ReplyDeleteI hate bagging on an individual player, but Levano has been terrible this year.
ReplyDeleteRettig is not looking comfortable. We need to get something going.

ReplyDeleteThe oline has not been good so far.
ReplyDeleteWhat a low energy first half.

ReplyDeleteBill, I agree with you about the o-line. Getting pushed around heavily by the MD line.
ReplyDeleteRettig does not seem comfortable in the pocket.
We should be blitzing more.
Side note, attendance looks decent.
Retigg is not comfortable because we can't block.
ReplyDeleteI agree about blitzing more
Rettig has not been good since FSU. He needs a big second half.
ReplyDeleteHow come Williams's fumble at the goal line didn't put him Spaziani's doghouse?
ReplyDeleteThat was a nice drive. Of course I don't know what led to the field goal since the ESPN3 feed died.
ReplyDelete0 for the day on third down. FG better than nothing.
ReplyDeleteGo BC!
Good passes to Amidon and Coleman got us into position.
ReplyDeleterettig has definitely looked very shaky. his footwork seems rushed and he generally seems jittery.
ReplyDeletealthough it is their 3rd string qb, we are up 13-0 and that's all that matters.
can finch seriously not get a carry?
BC needs to answer with a TD score. Field goals aren't going to cut it.
ReplyDeleteDefense reverting back to old form. Too bad Clancy didn't make that INT earlier.
ReplyDeleteBrutal - Sylvia overmatched.
O Line U
ReplyDeleteRettig is now gunshy.
ReplyDelete3 and out - the game has changed. Oh boy - here we go
ReplyDeleteSecondary receiver wide open
ReplyDelete2 star true freshman picking us apart in his first game.
ReplyDeleteMD has all the mo
We got lucky
ReplyDeleteBC got lucky on that drive. They had the open TD on 3rd down.
ReplyDelete0 for 9 on 3rd down
ReplyDeleteNeed a big stand from the D now.
ReplyDeleteI am surprised that we didn't pick up the 2 1/2 yards by running the belly series.
ReplyDeleteThe most exciting part of this game has been the measurements.
ReplyDeleteAnother terrible drive. Rettig needs to tuck and run a few times just to keep Maryland honest.

ReplyDelete0 for 10.
ReplyDelete3 and out on all 4 possessions of 2nd half.
Pull out some trick plays martin
And there goes the lead...
ReplyDeleteWhat can you say that hasn't been said.
ReplyDelete66 Yard td pass and run that was all too easy
I'm done. This is ridiculous.
ReplyDeleteWhat a waste of a season.
ReplyDeleteThis is four down territory.
ReplyDeleteSpaz clock management
ReplyDeleteRettig is getting lucky on this drive. Some of these throws are high risk.
ReplyDeleteHuge TD. Nice drive. Finally we answer in the 4th.
ReplyDeleteWow - shut me up
ReplyDeleteGreat drive

Ok this is step1. Late 4th quarter drive for the win! When is the last time a BC team has done that?
ReplyDeletePart of becoming a winning team is learning how to win. Great job by the Eagles!
11 months and 2 days since our last win (no, the Maine scrimmage doesn't count)
ReplyDeleteReally happy for the players. It wasn't fun to watch, but the results are all that matter.
ReplyDeleteTHANK GOD
ReplyDeleteTailgating for 2 hours
ReplyDeleteRettig and receivers superb on last drive
UNC over TOB - WTF ending
Ours was just as good or better
After putting up with a crappy ESPN3 feed, then switching to cringe-inducing Meter on Radio, and then seeing Rettig and OL failing and failing, the defense gone porous, Rettig shows what he's got and wins it.
ReplyDeleteA shockingly pleasant win.
Yay. Good feeling to win
I'd love to see that entire drive again, because the ESPN3 feed was lousy.
ReplyDeleteIt looked as though Rettig was pressured on every play, and the receivers were pretty well covered until Coleman's TD.
We were able to catch MD with 2 defenders for 3 receivers on the TD pass.
Great job. The O-line is not what we need it to be. They play hard, but can't hold off a basic pass rush.
MD's front 4 is pretty good, and they will be tough going forward.
Hip hip hooray for BC. It was tough to score on MD for sure.
I hope this does not mean that Spaz gets another year.
