More of the same in latest loss

The first half was all too familiar. Terrible tackling, no offense and a lopsided score. I was glad to see a little fight in the second but once again bad D and dumb mistakes killed any hope of a comeback.

Grades will come late Sunday.

  1. I feel in my bones that this team has one more win for a 2-10 year.

Which one will it be? :-)

    Yes, that would be nice.

Next year will be much better without Spaziani.

  2. Do you think Justin Tuggle is happy withhis decision to transfer to Kansas State?

E ven if he is playing linebacker?

  3. McGovern needs to be fired ASAP with Spaz.

I also am getting sick of TV announcer saying that our LBs are big tacklers or good players. Clancy and DeVitto are not good. Secondary. All bad. DL: Awful. We are in the bottom 5% nationally in almost every defensive category for a reason. The reason: the players are bad and the coaches are bad. Trying hard is nice, I guess, but is obviously a bare minimum expected of every FBS player

Could any of our defensive starters start on any other ACC team? Maybe KPL. I think that is it. Of course, I will hazard a guess that not a single BC defensive starter was recruited by any other ACC team (or any other BCS AQ school)

  4. Sad. GT seemed to let up some in 2nd half. Good work by offense in 2ndhalf but this ship is sinking. Sad to see.

  5. Anyone see Spaz berating the young special teams coach on the sideline after the costly roughing the kicker penalty?....always someone else's fault...

  6. Iowa lost to Penn State today. Who is the next Boston College head coach Kirk Ferentz or Bill O'Brien?

  7. I hope I don't run into Spaz on campus as it will be very difficult to keep a cool head and a still tongue.

As a season ticket holder, will be interesting to see the crowd size and the mood at the Maryland game.

  9. It wouldn't change the obvious and urgent need to can him, but it might cool my anger just a bit if Spaziani's comments in the press contained even a trace of insight, thought, self-awareness, intelligence, empathy ... anything other than the empty, moronic, detached blather he consistently provides. There is simply nothing going on between his ears.

  10. Spaz always looks so lost on the sidelines, and sounds so confused and befuddled in press conferences that I truly wonder about his capacity; I am dead serious about this.

At one time, he was a good defensive coordinator; you'd think, at least, that he would be able to help McGovern right that part of the sinking ship, but apparently not. This is not only infuriating, but quite sad.

  11. I only watched about 3 minutes of the game yesterday, but it was long enough to hear the announcer say: "it seems as though BC is done shooting themselves in the foot. Now they're aiming at the knee." Mistakes of that caliber fall squarely on the shoulders of the coaching staff, and are just representative of this sinking ship season as a whole.

  13. If you seek a laugh read this very bogus defense of SpaZ. (a week old, but worthy of mockery)
