i'm surprised Kimble is practicing. i haven't heard much about him and was wondering if he'd get a medical red shirt for this year. a Williams-Kimble-Willis rotation would be interesting.
The local alumni really piss me off. Get out and support this team! The Red Sox don't play until well after this game is finished. Big Jack, I applaud you for traveling all the way from the Carolinas for this game. It's a shame the people living 10 miles away don't exhibit the same support.
Andre is a man. he looks like a totally different back. legit NFL prospect. hopefully Coach Brown can figure out how to stop the triple option and we can cruise to an easy W
That is some absolutely terrible clock management. Daz should have called timeout immediately on the 3rd down stop. And they need to move with some urgency.
That was frustrating time management at the end of the half, but is anyone else just delighted that we did not take a knee and actually went for it? We all need to appreciate this new era where 48 seconds is an opportunity, not just a way to get into the locker room quicker.
Willis is a weapon on the kick returns. the first time he ever returned kicks was last week. reminds me of a more versatile Jeff Smith (who remembers him?).
hoping we can pull away in the 3rd and check out Bordner and some other backups in the 4th.
They are celebrating the 25th Anniversary of the Emerald Isle Classic (even though the game was played in November). I remember waking up early to watch the game on ESPN. My future wife was a BC flag girl (I guess the PC term is color guard) and after a BC touchdown, they filmed her dancing with some other members of her squad in the endzone. I believe it was the first college game played in Europe. It was a dark era for BC football, so it was a bowl game atmosphere.
With our Shit defense, BC needs to score on every possession. Rettig needs to step up his play. We need more downfield passing to get their D out of the box.
BJK, seeing as it is homecoming weekend, the only excuse is that maybe people want to get ready for the dance? Or that maybe there's a Sox game tonight?
For those there: how is the weather?
ReplyDeleteSunny and warm at the moment - zero wind right now.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a small crowd day, unfortunately.
Red Sox playoff game at 5:30 equals no BC coverage or very little.
Howell is our best punter - in practice anyway.
ReplyDeleteKimble is practicing. Army in all white with black trim.
ReplyDeleteWe are practicing 40 yard passes to the endzone just before the pre-game break.
love the BJK inside scoop.
ReplyDeletei'm surprised Kimble is practicing. i haven't heard much about him and was wondering if he'd get a medical red shirt for this year. a Williams-Kimble-Willis rotation would be interesting.
Late arriving crowd as usual - pathetic.
ReplyDeleteOnly a handful of cadets unfortunately.
About 5K in the stands right now. Dead feeling - no spirit.
We kickoff in front of 10K
ReplyDeleteThis has been too easy for Army.
ReplyDeleteThe local alumni really piss me off. Get out and support this team! The Red Sox don't play until well after this game is finished. ReplyDeleteIs Wolford hurt?
ReplyDeleteMust be prime apple picking
ReplyDeletePathetic
ReplyDeleteIs anyone else having ESPN3 issues? Mine keeps freezing.
ReplyDeleteSpaz defense today - bad news
ReplyDeletemine's streaming fine ATL
ReplyDeleteMy streaming is surprisingly very good today.
ReplyDeleteNot liking the way the BC defensive front is getting pushed around. Spaz's recruiting focus must be on getting better defenders.
Well, neither defense can stop the other
ReplyDeleteThis is terrible. I understand assignment football against the option, but someone has got to make a big play. Army is moving it at will.
ReplyDeleteRamsey is needed instead of standing on the sideline with his helmet off.
ReplyDeleteCoach Brown is a no show so far. D is incapable of stopping Army at this point.
The offense is doing its job. No complaints there. Now it is on the D.
ReplyDeleteI can see williams playing on sundays
ReplyDeleteThat was finally a drive where were played well and overpowered them.
ReplyDeleteFinally got a stop. The good news is they cannot stop our offense.
ReplyDeleteDo we have any impact receivers coming next year?? THats one area that we cant ever recruit
ReplyDeleteCan Andre Williams play Army every week?
ReplyDeleteAndre Williams is the biggest threat to our defense. They're going to ask him to take a knee after gaining 10 yards just so they can get a breather.
ReplyDeleteAndre is a man. he looks like a totally different back. legit NFL prospect. hopefully Coach Brown can figure out how to stop the triple option and we can cruise to an easy W
ReplyDeleteFSU beating Maryland 35-0. did we wake up FSU, or can we compete with Maryland?
ReplyDeleteAddazio using his Timeouts to preserve time for us. Encouraging.
ReplyDeleteNeed a stop here.
ReplyDeleteThat is some absolutely terrible clock management. Daz should have called timeout immediately on the 3rd down stop. And they need to move with some urgency.
ReplyDeleteWow, what a kick by Freese! That is a weapon we have not had in years!
ReplyDeleteFreese is going to be a kicker in the NFL. what a versatile weapon.
ReplyDeletethe failure to use a timeout was bizarre. BC should've scored a tut.
I agree Danny but we'll take the 50yard fg.
ReplyDeleteThat was frustrating time management at the end of the half, but is anyone else just delighted that we did not take a knee and actually went for it? We all need to appreciate this new era where 48 seconds is an opportunity, not just a way to get into the locker room quicker.
ReplyDeleteThe D seems to be adjusting.
ReplyDeleteUnlike last week
ReplyDeleteMaryland down by 42 to Florida State. Did State improve that much in one week, or are we perhaps better than we thought?
ReplyDeleteWillis is a weapon on the kick returns. the first time he ever returned kicks was last week. reminds me of a more versatile Jeff Smith (who remembers him?).
ReplyDeletehoping we can pull away in the 3rd and check out Bordner and some other backups in the 4th.
eagle boston -- i think its a bit of both. we played a good game against FSU, and they are playing better this week.
ReplyDeleteThey are celebrating the 25th Anniversary of the Emerald Isle Classic (even though the game was played in November).
ReplyDeleteWho is the color commentator? He is actually pretty good for ESPN3 but not sure about the bald pony tail look.
ReplyDeleteDang, they finally stopped us. Good adjustments by their D.
ReplyDeleteNot how we wanted to start the half.
ReplyDeleteI cannot believe the big plays we've allowed on D. How can we not run down Army players?
ReplyDeleteThis defense is scary bad today - really miss Mehdi and Kaleb apparently has the day off. Our interior line is not up to the task.
ReplyDeleteBad kickoff play.
With our Shit defense, BC needs to score on every possession. Rettig needs to step up his play. We need more downfield passing to get their D out of the box.
ReplyDeleteAmidon looks slow today. He must be hurt.
ReplyDeleteI will say it again, Day needs to open things up.
Illegal formation?? That is inexcusable!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Ryan!
ReplyDeleteI think if we can get one more stop, we will win this game. The scary thing is, we may not get one more stop.
ReplyDeleteNeed a three and out from the D now. I know this sounds silly but I don't want this coming down to the last possession.
ReplyDeleteBetween Freese's kick and Ramsey's offsides, we just gave Army 15 yards.
ReplyDeleteWhy are we calling a timeout now? We may regret that late in the 4th quarter.
ReplyDeleteRamsey made a big difference in the middle.
ReplyDeleteI would like to see Spiffy just explode off a punt return and score.
ReplyDeleteBenjamin:
ReplyDeleteAt least they are throwing to Spiffy.
ATL -
ReplyDeleteTrue. I'm listnening online, it sounded like the Spiffy drop hurt. Was it defended well?
My stream just went blue screen of death and now there is a message saying ESPN3 is experiencing technical difficulties.
ReplyDeleteSpiffy did not drop the pass. Rettig under-threw the pass and it was knocked down at the goal line by an Army defender.
ReplyDeleteThanks Eagleboston. Based on what I've heard, I'm very excited for the future with Myles.
ReplyDeleteOur D is going to need work.
Addazio led the team to the opposite side at the end of the third.
ReplyDeleteWe would like a first down.
Getting Technical Difficulty messages from ESPN 3 now.
ReplyDeleteReally, really wanted a touchdown there.
ReplyDeleteFreese 6 for 6 on field goals this year. The true test will be if he can kick a game-winning FG.
ReplyDeleteI think Williams just tied the BC touchdown record with 5. Montel William held the record.
ReplyDeleteI meant Harris.
ReplyDeleteAndre is 7 yards from the record.
ReplyDeleteBordner time?
ReplyDeleteAfter this series - fans already filing out - unreal.
ReplyDeleteBJK, seeing as it is homecoming weekend, the only excuse is that maybe people want to get ready for the dance? Or that maybe there's a Sox game tonight?
ReplyDeleteI thought Harris had over 300 yards once?
ReplyDeleteI know we faced their backup QB, but we were much better on defense in the second half.
ReplyDeleteEagleboston, that was at Temple.
ReplyDeleteESPN 3 is a piece of crap. Out again.
ReplyDeleteI feel like I am trying to watch TV in 1956.
ReplyDeleteDid Andre get the record? If not, he should have been in during the last series.
ReplyDeleteBoth teams stayed for each others alma mater
ReplyDeleteWe have now exceeded our win total from last year. Now, let's get 3 more.
ReplyDeleteBased on the post game interview, I don't think Daz was aware of the rushing record and how close Williams was to the record.
ReplyDeleteEven if Addazio didn't know our record, Ryan Day should have had an idea since he was here to see Montel vs NCSU.
ReplyDeleteIf Rettig can throw a few accurate passes, Andre can run all day...I want to believe...
ReplyDelete
