In-game comments post: New Mexico State

A sign of a well coached and mature team is the ability to take every game and every opponent seriously. New Mexico State is struggling, but this game is important for BC. We need to play well and come out with the win. Let's hope we stay focused. Leave your comments and thoughts below.

  1. As I sit in Chestnut Hill waiting for the 3:30 kickoff, there are probably 10 football games on various television stations. At 3:30, there are another group of games, including UNH v Delaware. Where is the BC game? ESPN3? What's up with that? No local coverage so we need to watch the game on a computer? This has to end. Any thoughts on. This? Am I missing something?

  3. Direct TV has our game listed as being shown on 788. It looks like it is part of the GamePlan Package.

Can't tell what the blackout restrictions are.

  5. Anyone know of a free stream?

    ReplyDelete
  6. Ramman:

The stream is free on ESPN3 or the NM State site.

I am getting in on Directv Channel 695.

    ReplyDelete
  7. BTW, this has a real cable access feel to the broadcast.

    ReplyDelete
  8. I don't think I've ever seen something like that. Did it even hit the ground?

    Fios 301

  10. If dudeck never touched the ball again, I'll be a happy man. I'm starting to get an Aponavicious feel from him. He's outlived his utility.

  12. That was a fluke. Not the start I wanted but I am not worried.

Wow this is certainly a local production

    ReplyDelete
  14. Glad they are getting it to Amidon. He deserves to be more than a decoy. Hopefully he gets 12 catches.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Amidon's got to pull that in. Shows that Rettig throws a nice ball when he has time.

    ReplyDelete
  16. You're right. The muff was a fluke. But he has never really shown a spark. When you convert an undersized safety to an undersized RB because you have to, it would only make sense to stop using hi when you have another player better suited for the task at hand (Willis). Willis (and the other freshman RBs) are the future, dudeck is not.

  17. Did anyone else lose picture.

  18. 3rd and 9 draw. Nice call.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Phenomenal run by Andre!

    ReplyDelete
  20. The guys look a little gassed. Probably from the altitude.

    ReplyDelete
  21. 6-3. Call my crazy but I kind of figured we would be scoring touchdowns in this game, not field goals,

    ReplyDelete
  22. I would like to see some receiver besides Amidon get a chance today.

If we can't shake someone loose against this team it would really be sad.

    ReplyDelete
  23. I would also like to see a different punt receiver.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Great play action toss to the tight end!

    ReplyDelete
  25. Well duh - great call and easy TD.

    Happy for Naples.

    ReplyDelete
  26. I said I wanted the Tight End pass out of the read option. Didn't expect it would got that far.

    ReplyDelete
  27. This is like watching TV in 1977. Horrible production and it keeps stalling out.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Why not go for it. NM State cannot move the ball.

    ReplyDelete
  29. The number of drops today are frustrating.

    ReplyDelete
  30. The video stream is as bad as our present defensive effort - brutal.

    ReplyDelete
  31. That defensive effort was pathetic!

    ReplyDelete
  32. ATL, it looks like the Aggies can indeed move the ball. Pathetic drive by the Eagle defense.

    ReplyDelete
  33. This is the worst team in college football boys.

show some interest and some guts.

    ReplyDelete
  34. That was terrible. See comments above. Especially BJK.

    ReplyDelete
  35. I cannot believe I am writing this but this drive is critical. Put them away.

    ReplyDelete
  36. This has been a bizarre game so far. D playing like the D against Villanova. Offense moving the ball but stalling. Rettig being more productive that Williams. Bizarre.

    ReplyDelete
  37. If Ross from "Friends" did the color commentary for a game, this is what it would sound like. I can't stand this guy.

    ReplyDelete
  38. At least the BC offense showed up to play today.

    ReplyDelete
  39. As the announcer said - and it wasn't Amidon.

    Is Ramsey off today?

    ReplyDelete
  40. We need to bring more pressure on Defense.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Show some defense - let's go
    - this is brutal Spaziastic.

    ReplyDelete
  42. After starting strong the defense looks like they've lost their aggression.

    ReplyDelete
  43. That was another terrible defensive drive.

    ReplyDelete
  44. Anonymous4:57 PM

    Holding much?

    ReplyDelete
  45. This was not a good half for BC. Can't let them hang around.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Anonymous4:58 PM

    Wow

    ReplyDelete
  47. Pathetic, pathetic, pathetic effort by the BC defense. They should be ashamed of themselves. This is a 1-8 team for God's sake!

    ReplyDelete
  48. D failed on that drive, but NMST is getting away with way too many holds.

    ReplyDelete
  49. Eagleboston is right. This is a disgrace.

    ReplyDelete
  50. I don't know how you guys can see holds with this crappy Aggie Vision picture. I can barely see which team has the ball.

    ReplyDelete
  51. Brown needs to shut these bums out in the second half and we need to score 4 TDs in order to be able to even dream of earning a bowl bid.

This defensive effort today is an embarrassment and we are in danger of being reduced to a spaz-laughingstock because of it.

Come on BC - show some desire and guts. Don't go as backwards.

    ReplyDelete
  52. BJK why are you convinced that we're going to be shut out of a bowl (if we make one)? I know we're not playing great today, but overall this season has been a huge successes. We've only had two bad losses, and two eye opening losses for the rest of CFB. I still have friends bring up how close we played FSU and Clemson, and how much respect they have for BC this year.

    ReplyDelete
  53. Exactly what BJK said. Sorry, sorry defensive effort.

    ReplyDelete
  54. Big Jack Krack:

I don't care about style points or margin of victory. I just want the defense to play better.

    ReplyDelete
  55. If Ramsey is sitting today it shows how valuable he is to our DL.

take away KE and we are no better than our opponent.

brown had better cook something up and attack these guys.

Can you imagine - they believe they can win.

Make some adjustments - especially in attitude.

    ReplyDelete
  56. It is very disconcerting that we have to use Williams this much.

    ReplyDelete
  57. Ben - if we can't beat these guys, we don't deserve a bid - period.

    ReplyDelete
  58. That was the smartest play Chase has made in weeks.

    ReplyDelete
  59. They are trying to wear these guys out - but with risks.

    ReplyDelete
  60. Great going - now stuff these guys and get another one.

    ReplyDelete
  61. Great statement drive there. Now we need the defense to get a stop.

    ReplyDelete
  62. Tackling has been terrible today.

    ReplyDelete
  63. OK, I saw the holds by the wide receivers there.

    ReplyDelete
  64. D needs to make a statement this drive. BJK, I agree that if we don't beat NMST, we don't go bowling, but I don't think we lose.

    ReplyDelete
  65. There are big holes again for Chase to keep it on the option plays.

    ReplyDelete
  66. That should've been targeting. ACC refs at this game. I hope Addazio sends the tape on to the league office.

    ReplyDelete
  67. We are letting these guys stay in the game.

Our guy would have let that punt roll dead.

    ReplyDelete
  68. Anonymous5:38 PM

The guy knocked himself for a loop too

    ReplyDelete
  69. Keyes looks lost on the read option. He's guessing wrong each time.

    ReplyDelete
  70. We are playing base defense and not tackling. Did someone do something to Don Brown?

    ReplyDelete
  71. In a close game, we may need those timeouts. I hate calling timeouts in the 3rd quarter.

    ReplyDelete
  72. Wow - is there an agreement with Martin or something?

If we don't score this game will be tied or we will be behind.

    ReplyDelete
  73. I am starting to get a sick feeling about this game. We cannot let them hang around like this.

    ReplyDelete
  74. Who is #28? The roster says Matt Milano. I've never heard of the guy. He completely got burned on that touchdown pass. I don't know what the hell he was thinking.

I am stunned right now. Stunned. How are the coaches allowing this to happen? How do you play so well against Va Tech and so poorly against a 1-8 team?

    ReplyDelete
  75. We can't stop the worst team in college football - hence we are tight back lower than whale shit and that's on the bottom of the ocean.

Pathetic embarrassment - yet somehow I expected this.

can you imagine asking please hold on?

    ReplyDelete
  76. BJK, what's up? Even during Spaz years you were never this negative?

    ReplyDelete
  77. Jesus, now the offense it sucking up.

    ReplyDelete
  78. Good defensive series there.

    ReplyDelete
  79. NM State has pretty much stuffed the run the last 2 drives. We all know Rettig is a game manager and not a true passer. What do we do to score some points?

    ReplyDelete
  80. I like the adjustments Brown made on that series.

    ReplyDelete
  81. The offense looks lost now too.

    ReplyDelete
  82. C'mon Daz, figure something out. Do not lose to this team!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  83. what happened to trying to actually catch a punt?

    ReplyDelete
  84. ugh. Asprilla's got to hold onto that.

    ReplyDelete
  85. The Aggie quarterback is better passer than Rettig.

    ReplyDelete
  86. My computer keeps freezing right in the middle of critical plays. Anyone else experiencing the screen freezing?

    ReplyDelete
  87. We need a different punt returned for sure.

We are being out-coached and our players have no emotion.

    ReplyDelete
  88. How many missed tackles today?

    ReplyDelete
  89. Anonymous6:08 PM

The camera angles are as sickening as the play

    ReplyDelete
  90. This game illustrates how utterly shitty Spaz was at recruiting. I think Brown is doing the best he can with these players but they are slow, sloppy and lack that winning attitude.

    ReplyDelete
  91. Willis!!!

Coaches, can you please give this guy more touches?

    ReplyDelete
  92. I am done posting for the day.

Let's see if our team - players and coaches - has any pride - any guts - any sense of how they are on the precipice of a disaster..

I guess Willis bailed us out temporarily.

    ReplyDelete
  93. Welp, back to the minibar and redtube.com.

    ReplyDelete
  94. My internet access went out with 8 minutes left. I about had a heart attack. Thank God I heard that BC pulled this one out.

Mediacomm is the shittiest company in the world. I wish Verizon or Comcast would buy them out.

    I think Martin is bitter

    ReplyDelete
  96. To say the post-game handshake between Daz and Martin was perfunctory is overstating it. No eye contact. Nothing said. No pause in running by. Wow....there must be some bad feeling left between Daz and Martin. They looked like Woody and Bo.
