This won't provide the highs of USC nor will it generate the "ehhs" of Maine. Instead this game represents a great opportunity for BC to close the month out with a win and prepare for the rest of the ACC slate. Let's make it a good one! Leave your thoughts and comments below.

For those at the game: what is the weather like and how full is the stadium?
ReplyDeleteFor those at the game: what is the weather like and how full is the stadium?
ReplyDeleteHot and empty
ReplyDeleteVery, very concerned about the Rams' passing attack.
ReplyDeleteNeed to get positive yardage on first down.
ReplyDeleteEmpty and disgraceful.
ReplyDeleteMurphy can't hit anyone in the passing game.
ReplyDeleteMissed tackles. Looks like the Pitt game.
ReplyDeleteCherry explains......Huh?
ReplyDeleteSome passing will work today.
ReplyDeleteChip away.
CSU is well prepared, which is what scared me all along.
Not a great first quarter. Need Murphy to kick it into gear.
ReplyDeleteThe guy who tried to stop Hilliman got run over and hurt.
ReplyDeleteHills is a manly man at a young age.
Did we get an attendance figure? Did we make it over 30,000?
ReplyDeleteThe Eagles looked pretty good on that 80 yard drive, all things considered.
I have the game on FSSHD - Fox Sports South.
ReplyDeleteThe kick off guys need to stay in their lanes. One guy was in position to make the tackle and shifted way over to the left.
ReplyDeleteTD if the runner kept his feet, maybe.
ReplyDeleteNice sack.
ReplyDeleteSunny, 80 degrees - beautiful day at Alumni.
I know this looks slow and plodding, but we are wearing down this defense. This will pay off in the 4th quarter.
ReplyDeleteWhere is Sherm today?
ReplyDeleteStanding by, I guess.
ReplyDeleteLet's go - punch one in.
ReplyDeleteSherm has been in on a few fake handoffs, gotta figure he's going to get the ball soon. silly not to use such a weapon like him more.
ReplyDeleteHilliman is a beast. clearly the lead back, with Willis as the backup. no Rouse today. Outlow had another nice catch.
gotta come away with points here.
Murphy is really an impressive runner. great score. GO EAGLES
ReplyDeleteAll Murphy. Other BC QBs would have been down for a loss, and we would have settled for a FG attempt.
ReplyDeleteGo Tyler.
Too many big plays on that drive. But, it's hard to hold the Rams scoreless for an entire half.
ReplyDeleteBC is being too conservative here. Co State wants the ball back. This is where our shitty passing game costs us big time.
ReplyDeletePass defense looking shaky as usual.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad CSU called the timeout. Be aggressive, Daz!
ReplyDeleteLet's try to at least get a field goal out of this drive.
ReplyDeleteWe need to get something out of this drive. Rams get the ball to start the half and I am guessing they will score as they have figured out how to dink and dunk on us.
ReplyDeleteDudeck showing that he still has good hands.
ReplyDeleteGot to catch that.
ReplyDeleteSuch a refreshing change from Spaz. He would have never forced the ball down the field with 90 seconds left. We may come away with no points, but I like the strategy.
ReplyDeleteFrustrating end to the half. First allowing them to drive and then not converting on the FG. Can't let them hang around.
ReplyDeleteOuch, I'm not feeling good about this. Don't like that they get the ball first with all of the momentum.
ReplyDeleteHow can't either of BC's kickers out one through the uprights? At least Daz is pissed.
ReplyDeleteIs Howell our only kicker from long distance? Don't we have a freshman that we recruited? Howell has cost BC a lot of points this season and that is unacceptable. Most college kickers can make that kick.
ReplyDeleteI'm guessing after last week, Colorado State is going to be ready for a surprise onside kick.
ReplyDeleteCSU will march down the field on the opening drive.
ReplyDeleteMost high school kickers can make that kick eagle
ReplyDeleteNeed a good kick and then a 3 and out.
ReplyDeleteWhat bugs me is late arrivals pushing their way through mid 2nd quarter.
ReplyDeleteShit, they have our defense completely on their heels.
ReplyDeleteQB has way too much time to pass and is picking BC apart. When BC brings a blitz though, he's still able to hit short passes for big yards. Pick your poison.
ReplyDeleteI'm irate that we did not score before the half. This team will score at will in the 2nd half and our offense is going to have to score 3 TDs just to keep up with them.
ReplyDeleteWell seems like I was right. Not hard to predict though. Terrible tackling on that run.
ReplyDeleteWell, I knew this team was going to give us fits. We need to respond on this drive or we will be playing from behind.
ReplyDeleteNeed to get the ball to our playmakers. Alston, Hilliman.
ReplyDeleteNot happy with the discipline of the O-line today
ReplyDeleteGot to go for it. Field goals will not keep up with TDS
ReplyDeleteCan't criticize Daz for the calls today. Love this coach!
ReplyDeleteNow it is on the D.
ReplyDeletedinking and dunking. Brown has no answer. Must be frustrating.
ReplyDeleteHow many missed tackled today?????
ReplyDeleteD-line is getting pushed around on every running play.
ReplyDeleteFreaking tackle already!
ReplyDeleteIf CO State gets any points out of this drive, that is huge for them. All they need is 1 defensive stop and they can drive in for the win. Our offense has to score every possession from here on out to stay ahead of these guys. They are potent on offense.
ReplyDeleteNow, that missed Howell field goal is critical. Must score on this drive to go up by 10. They have contained the big plays so far. Time for the Sherminator?
ReplyDeleteThat conversion by Murphy was huge.
ReplyDeleteWillis seems to be running better than Hilliman today.
ReplyDeleteBordner has been a pleasant surprise this season.
ReplyDeleteOh, oh. This game is swiftly unraveling. That was on the receiver. Slipped on the field. Not Murphy's fault.
ReplyDeleteD needs to get the first stop in several drives.
ReplyDeleteUgh. Sets CSU up perfectly. Need another bend, don't break possession.
ReplyDeleteC'mon, let's go defense!!!!! It's on you now!!
ReplyDeleteMore missed tackles
ReplyDeleteBad, bad, bad timeout. You cannot blow timeouts in close game. We may need them for a final drive. First major coaching mistake of the game and it is a costly one.
ReplyDeleteBad TO, maybe. Okay if they hold.
ReplyDeleteCSU is tough on both sides of the ball in Q4.
Not OK at all. In a 1 score game, I want all of my timeouts.
ReplyDeleteI would go for it if I was Co STate. BC cannot stop this offense.
ReplyDeleteReverse Karma works yet again!!
ReplyDeleteAnyone up for a 7 minute drive?
ReplyDeleteI'm still extremely nervous.I think the offense needs one more score.

ReplyDeleteHilliman is not running as well as Willis. Now we are in a 3rd and long again at a critical juncture.
ReplyDeleteWe cannot win a game scoring just 7 points in the 2nd half.
ReplyDeleteFreaking terrible play calls. Spaz-esque
ReplyDeleteOK, defense, the offense does not have it today. We need you to close it out. This is the season. This is a bowl. This is critical. Win it for the Eagles!
ReplyDeleteThey have done an amazing job picking up the blitz today.
ReplyDeleteReally wish we had that field goal and that horrific timeout.
ReplyDeleteNot giving up yet, but definitely on life support.
ReplyDeleteFucking embarassing. BC better just let then score quick.
ReplyDeleteWe need to start using timeouts as they will go for it on 4th down.
ReplyDeleteBravesbill, I really think the injuries on the O-line are showing up today. We have had little push all day.
ReplyDeleteThis is it!!
ReplyDeleteToo much time elapsing. Won't have a chance to get the ball back.
ReplyDeleteFucking 3 man rush.
ReplyDeleteDamn
ReplyDeleteWho the fuck rushes 3 there after almost giving up a td on the previous play. Stupid.
ReplyDeleteWell, I knew this was going to be a step back year due to Spaz's absolutely shitty recruiting, but I thought we would win this one at home. Still, I figured the USC game as a loss, so we are right where I thought we would be after 5 games. Not sure where we can find 3 more wins as our schedule gets very tough. Wake is the only sure victory left.
ReplyDeleteWasting so much time.
ReplyDeleteTerrible terrible loss. Horrible second half coaching. That's what happens when you go ultra conservative on offense and defense.
ReplyDeleteI am not sure we should stick with Murphy. He is one dimensional, presents zero threat in the passing game is is not the future. Since this is a step back year, shouldn't we be getting Wade some experience. We're not going to a bowl anyway, so why not get your your QB some reps and better prepare him for next season.
ReplyDeleteWhen can we start a fire Don Brown campaign?
ReplyDeleteNext year will be an even bigger step back with a new young QB
ReplyDeleteUgly
ReplyDeleteHowell's missed field goal was a killer. Flipping find another Apo in the student body. That cost us the game.

ReplyDeleteTheir coaching cost BC the game, esp. in the 4th quarter. Putrid.
ReplyDeleteRight, Bravesbill, that is why we need to get them some experience this year. If you cannot score more than 7 points in a critical game against a non-power conference team, you are not the answer at quarterback. Start Wade, get him some experience, and we will be much better prepared next season. Otherwise, you could blow 2-3 early games next year trying to get experience.
ReplyDeleteZero touches for Alston. Inexcusable.
ReplyDeleteLots of grabbing by csu; cherry swallowed his flags
