In-game comments post: Colorado State

This won't provide the highs of USC nor will it generate the "ehhs" of Maine. Instead this game represents a great opportunity for BC to close the month out with a win and prepare for the rest of the ACC slate. Let's make it a good one! Leave your thoughts and comments below.

  3. Very, very concerned about the Rams' passing attack.

    ReplyDelete
  4. Need to get positive yardage on first down.

    ReplyDelete
  5. Empty and disgraceful.

    ReplyDelete
  6. Murphy can't hit anyone in the passing game.

    ReplyDelete
  7. Missed tackles. Looks like the Pitt game.

    ReplyDelete
  8. Cherry explains......Huh?

    ReplyDelete
  9. Some passing will work today.

    Chip away.

CSU is well prepared, which is what scared me all along.

    ReplyDelete
  10. Not a great first quarter. Need Murphy to kick it into gear.

    ReplyDelete
  11. The guy who tried to stop Hilliman got run over and hurt.

Hills is a manly man at a young age.

    ReplyDelete
  12. Did we get an attendance figure? Did we make it over 30,000?

The Eagles looked pretty good on that 80 yard drive, all things considered.

    ReplyDelete
  13. I have the game on FSSHD - Fox Sports South.

    ReplyDelete
  14. The kick off guys need to stay in their lanes. One guy was in position to make the tackle and shifted way over to the left.

    ReplyDelete
  15. TD if the runner kept his feet, maybe.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Nice sack.

Sunny, 80 degrees - beautiful day at Alumni.

    ReplyDelete
  17. I know this looks slow and plodding, but we are wearing down this defense. This will pay off in the 4th quarter.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Where is Sherm today?

    ReplyDelete
  19. Let's go - punch one in.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Sherm has been in on a few fake handoffs, gotta figure he's going to get the ball soon. silly not to use such a weapon like him more.

Hilliman is a beast. clearly the lead back, with Willis as the backup. no Rouse today. Outlow had another nice catch.

gotta come away with points here.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Murphy is really an impressive runner. great score. GO EAGLES

    ReplyDelete
  22. All Murphy. Other BC QBs would have been down for a loss, and we would have settled for a FG attempt.

    Go Tyler.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Too many big plays on that drive. But, it's hard to hold the Rams scoreless for an entire half.

    ReplyDelete
  24. BC is being too conservative here. Co State wants the ball back. This is where our shitty passing game costs us big time.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Pass defense looking shaky as usual.

    ReplyDelete
  26. I'm glad CSU called the timeout. Be aggressive, Daz!

    ReplyDelete
  27. Let's try to at least get a field goal out of this drive.

    ReplyDelete
  28. We need to get something out of this drive. Rams get the ball to start the half and I am guessing they will score as they have figured out how to dink and dunk on us.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Dudeck showing that he still has good hands.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Got to catch that.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Such a refreshing change from Spaz. He would have never forced the ball down the field with 90 seconds left. We may come away with no points, but I like the strategy.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Frustrating end to the half. First allowing them to drive and then not converting on the FG. Can't let them hang around.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Ouch, I'm not feeling good about this. Don't like that they get the ball first with all of the momentum.

    ReplyDelete
  34. How can't either of BC's kickers out one through the uprights? At least Daz is pissed.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Is Howell our only kicker from long distance? Don't we have a freshman that we recruited? Howell has cost BC a lot of points this season and that is unacceptable. Most college kickers can make that kick.

    ReplyDelete
  36. I'm guessing after last week, Colorado State is going to be ready for a surprise onside kick.

    ReplyDelete
  37. CSU will march down the field on the opening drive.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Most high school kickers can make that kick eagle

    ReplyDelete
  39. Need a good kick and then a 3 and out.

    ReplyDelete
  40. What bugs me is late arrivals pushing their way through mid 2nd quarter.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Shit, they have our defense completely on their heels.

    ReplyDelete
  42. QB has way too much time to pass and is picking BC apart. When BC brings a blitz though, he's still able to hit short passes for big yards. Pick your poison.

    ReplyDelete
  43. I'm irate that we did not score before the half. This team will score at will in the 2nd half and our offense is going to have to score 3 TDs just to keep up with them.

    ReplyDelete
  44. Well seems like I was right. Not hard to predict though. Terrible tackling on that run.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Well, I knew this team was going to give us fits. We need to respond on this drive or we will be playing from behind.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Need to get the ball to our playmakers. Alston, Hilliman.

    ReplyDelete
  47. Not happy with the discipline of the O-line today

    ReplyDelete
  48. Got to go for it. Field goals will not keep up with TDS

    ReplyDelete
  49. Can't criticize Daz for the calls today. Love this coach!

    ReplyDelete
  50. Now it is on the D.

    ReplyDelete
  51. dinking and dunking. Brown has no answer. Must be frustrating.

    ReplyDelete
  52. How many missed tackled today?????

    ReplyDelete
  53. D-line is getting pushed around on every running play.

    ReplyDelete
  54. Freaking tackle already!

    ReplyDelete
  55. If CO State gets any points out of this drive, that is huge for them. All they need is 1 defensive stop and they can drive in for the win. Our offense has to score every possession from here on out to stay ahead of these guys. They are potent on offense.

    ReplyDelete
  56. Now, that missed Howell field goal is critical. Must score on this drive to go up by 10. They have contained the big plays so far. Time for the Sherminator?

    ReplyDelete
  57. That conversion by Murphy was huge.

    ReplyDelete
  58. Willis seems to be running better than Hilliman today.

    ReplyDelete
  59. Bordner has been a pleasant surprise this season.

    ReplyDelete
  60. Oh, oh. This game is swiftly unraveling. That was on the receiver. Slipped on the field. Not Murphy's fault.

    ReplyDelete
  61. D needs to get the first stop in several drives.

    ReplyDelete
  62. Ugh. Sets CSU up perfectly. Need another bend, don't break possession.

    ReplyDelete
  63. C'mon, let's go defense!!!!! It's on you now!!

    ReplyDelete
  64. More missed tackles

    ReplyDelete
  65. Bad, bad, bad timeout. You cannot blow timeouts in close game. We may need them for a final drive. First major coaching mistake of the game and it is a costly one.

    ReplyDelete
  66. Bad TO, maybe. Okay if they hold.

CSU is tough on both sides of the ball in Q4.

    ReplyDelete
  67. Not OK at all. In a 1 score game, I want all of my timeouts.

    ReplyDelete
  68. I would go for it if I was Co STate. BC cannot stop this offense.

    ReplyDelete
  69. Reverse Karma works yet again!!

    ReplyDelete
  70. Anyone up for a 7 minute drive?

I'm still extremely nervous.I think the offense needs one more score.

    ReplyDelete

  72. Hilliman is not running as well as Willis. Now we are in a 3rd and long again at a critical juncture.

    ReplyDelete
  73. We cannot win a game scoring just 7 points in the 2nd half.

    ReplyDelete
  74. Freaking terrible play calls. Spaz-esque

    ReplyDelete
  75. OK, defense, the offense does not have it today. We need you to close it out. This is the season. This is a bowl. This is critical. Win it for the Eagles!

    ReplyDelete
  76. They have done an amazing job picking up the blitz today.

    ReplyDelete
  77. Really wish we had that field goal and that horrific timeout.

    ReplyDelete
  78. Not giving up yet, but definitely on life support.

    ReplyDelete
  79. Fucking embarassing. BC better just let then score quick.

    ReplyDelete
  80. We need to start using timeouts as they will go for it on 4th down.

    ReplyDelete
  81. Bravesbill, I really think the injuries on the O-line are showing up today. We have had little push all day.

    ReplyDelete
  82. Too much time elapsing. Won't have a chance to get the ball back.

    ReplyDelete
  83. Fucking 3 man rush.

    ReplyDelete
  84. Who the fuck rushes 3 there after almost giving up a td on the previous play. Stupid.

    ReplyDelete
  85. Well, I knew this was going to be a step back year due to Spaz's absolutely shitty recruiting, but I thought we would win this one at home. Still, I figured the USC game as a loss, so we are right where I thought we would be after 5 games. Not sure where we can find 3 more wins as our schedule gets very tough. Wake is the only sure victory left.

    ReplyDelete
  86. Wasting so much time.

    ReplyDelete
  87. Terrible terrible loss. Horrible second half coaching. That's what happens when you go ultra conservative on offense and defense.

    ReplyDelete
  88. I am not sure we should stick with Murphy. He is one dimensional, presents zero threat in the passing game is is not the future. Since this is a step back year, shouldn't we be getting Wade some experience. We're not going to a bowl anyway, so why not get your your QB some reps and better prepare him for next season.

    ReplyDelete
  89. When can we start a fire Don Brown campaign?

    ReplyDelete
  90. Next year will be an even bigger step back with a new young QB

    ReplyDelete
  91. Howell's missed field goal was a killer. Flipping find another Apo in the student body. That cost us the game.

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  93. Their coaching cost BC the game, esp. in the 4th quarter. Putrid.

    ReplyDelete
  94. Right, Bravesbill, that is why we need to get them some experience this year. If you cannot score more than 7 points in a critical game against a non-power conference team, you are not the answer at quarterback. Start Wade, get him some experience, and we will be much better prepared next season. Otherwise, you could blow 2-3 early games next year trying to get experience.

    ReplyDelete
  95. Zero touches for Alston. Inexcusable.

    ReplyDelete
  96. Lots of grabbing by csu; cherry swallowed his flags
