In-game comments post: Syracuse

You've had your turkey. You've put in the time with family. Now you need to plant yourself in front of the TV and watch BC's last regular season game. I am thankful for this season, but I will be a lot more thankful if we get the win today. Leave your thoughts and comments below.

  1. Really getting excited for this game now. I was originally going to be in attendance, but as it turned out, I am smack-dab in the middle of moving right now.

My tickets are in good use - and I hope everyone is wearing their long underwear/silkies - whatever you call them.

If the fans dress appropriately, they will be fine. In fact, these things are so comfortable now, I'd wear 2 pair of silkies under cordoroy pants, and plenty of layers, etc. (It has always amazed me how many fans show up for a game dressed inappropriately - in a case like today - underdressed).

I hope we get 35K for this game, but I'm afraid it will be an empty Alumni Stadium in sunny, 30 degree weather.

Go BC - blast through Syracuse today.

  2. "I hope our fans and alumni are proud of our team," Addazio said.

    Yes, we are, Coach.

Thank you for your leadership, organization, enthusiasm and ability to instill pride.

I am proud of our team and our players - and our coaches and staff.

Go BC - get it done today. Don't let Syracuse get in your way. Achieve your goal today, guys and remain friends and associates for life.

  3. We all know that "BJK" is a "glass half full kind of guy". Actually, I believe that his move to Atlanta is just a cover for his real secret deliveries on December 24. Someone needs to put GPS in elf shoes for a thousand miles around. Nevertheless, there is an echo singing "For Boston".

  4. Great! Don't let up for 60 minutes.

  5. Still can't figure out why Willis does not get more touches on offense.

    ReplyDelete
  6. Defense gets better with each game. They are playing at a high level.

    ReplyDelete
  7. Offense struggling on 3rd down as they have all season. They must get better on 3rd down next year.

    ReplyDelete
  8. Too many pass plays so far. Not enough read options.

    ReplyDelete
  9. What is wrong with the offense today? They are really struggling.

    ReplyDelete
  10. Bordner completely missed the block on that sack. I was worried about a letdown and were seeing it with the offense. Thank God the defense came to play.

  11. "We are." Sorry about the grammar error.

    ReplyDelete
  12. Can't blame the defense for this. They had to defend an extremely short field.

    ReplyDelete
  13. Offensive line has been atrocious. Very predictable play calling too.

    ReplyDelete
  14. Crap, why does Syracuse have our number? Every single fricken year!

    ReplyDelete
  15. Jesus, how many high snaps is that? Just put Murphy under center.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Maybe that is why Willis does not get more touches.

  17. Dumb move by Asprilla.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Correct that, great move by Asprilla!!

  19. Syracuse thugs out in force.

  20. Ga v GTech is clean old-fashioned hate.

    This is closer to it.

    ReplyDelete
  21. O-line did not show up to play today. They are getting blown up.

    ReplyDelete
  22. 3rd and 17 and we are running???? WTF!

    ReplyDelete
  23. Hmm. Missed kick. Shocking.

Is there someone playing on Friday nights coming in next yr?

    ReplyDelete
  24. Why is that clown still kicking? Put Howell in there. He's BC's best shot at making a kick these days.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Awful. Another missed field goal? Why are we so atrocious at home this year? I have never see a season like this.

This would be a bad, bad loss. There is no way they should be even with us right now. BC better wake up or they are going to lose on Senior Day and put BC at risk for a losing season.

  26. Bravebill, Howell missed the kick last week. We don't have a field goal kicker on our roster.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Thankfully BC's defense is keeping the game close.

    ReplyDelete
  28. I was hoping that we'd get a comfortable lead today. No such luck.

    Syracuse loves Ryan Day.

    ReplyDelete
  29. I hope BC does not run out of time here.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Yeah I know he made one last week but he may be BC's worst kicker. I still think Howell gives then a better chance at FGs esp. anything over 30 yards.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Kid of surprised BC is not using their timeouts here to get another shot on offense.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Nice quick touchdown drive thankfully.

    ReplyDelete
  33. I feel a little better about this game but we are in a dogfight here. Really, really want BC to get a win for the seniors and to pay back Syracuse for decades of misery.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Looks like there's a decent sized crowd.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Did I read that right? Only 31 yards rushing for BC in the first half? Wow!

    ReplyDelete
  36. Huge swing there. Let's put this game away now.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Agree Bravesbill - ok D - pour it on for a 3 and out.

Let's get the ball right back.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Defense getting gashed on this drive.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Syracuse just loads the box on us.

That's the way to loosen them up.

    ReplyDelete
  40. The offense has been completely dominated by the Syracuse defense today.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Why pass on a 3rd and 3? All these sacks have killed BC's total rushing yards EB.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Usually, we keep pounding and pounding until the 4th quarter when defenses are completely worn down. Not sure that is going to work today.

    ReplyDelete
  43. I was going to say the same thing.

    ReplyDelete
  44. Another failed 3rd down conversion.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Wow, maybe luck is finally turning our way. That was a clear fumble by Alston. We got away with one.

    ReplyDelete
  46. We lucked out on that "forward progress" call.

GT had a blatant call against them and Georgia ran 100 yards for a score - about 5 seconds after forward progress was stopped. It was actually a GT TD.

    ReplyDelete
  47. Camera guy is having a rough day.

    ReplyDelete
  48. Need to get at least a field goal here.

    ReplyDelete
  49. The monkey is slipping off, hanging on for dear life.

Big Jack, we were wrong. The formula of pounding and pounding finally loosened up this defense. Nice TD by Rouse.

    ReplyDelete
  50. I began a post in the 3rd Q that I guessed the object was to wear them out eventually.

But it didn't look good at the time, so I cancelled it.

I still had faith though. :-)

    ReplyDelete
  51. Run it up on these bastards! Pay back!!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  52. Addazio has more class than you and I do, Eagle. I wanted a TD!!!!! :-) :-)

    ReplyDelete
  53. Proud to be an Eagle today.

Proud of our team this year, even with the frustrating might have beens!

    ReplyDelete
  54. Well, Addazio is a class act.

    Great coaching job this year.
