Now the season begins. We will learn a lot about the team in the next few hours. Let's show the college football world that we are more than the team that beat up on Maine and Howard!

This game is going to come down to turnovers and the kicking game. Everything is going to have to go right for BC to have a chance in this contest, which is asking a lot of a young football team.
ReplyDeleteAt the game - late arriving crowd as usual but spirited.
ReplyDeleteFSU fans may help to make the stadium presentable in terms of attendance. Don't know yet - jury still out 10 min before kickoff.
Half full for the Captains.
ReplyDeleteAnd the teams - kind of pathetic.
ReplyDeleteAddazio pregame speech effing priceless
ReplyDeleteSo far. Defense is priceful.
ReplyDeleteGholson laid that dude out.
ReplyDeleteThat was easy.
ReplyDeleteWe looked like Howard.
ReplyDeleteThat was too easy. No pressure at all.
ReplyDeleteThey are running plays we don't see in practice
ReplyDeleteThat was bad too. Wade got a bit gun shy there. He could have tried a pass.
ReplyDeleteMore slants against a blitzing D. I bet.
ReplyDeleteWe need to sell it out and get to Gholston now.
Not concerned yet. If you look at the past 2 years, Don Brown's defenses almost always spot the other team 3 or 7 points.
ReplyDeleteHowever, I am concerned that the defense was not prepared and had to burn a timeout when they had plenty of time to get set-up due to the penalty.
I'll never understand why special teams players block in the back. Seems like a simple concept to understand, but it happens so often.
ReplyDeleteSack, right on que.
ReplyDeleteBurning up the TOs.
ReplyDeleteI hate punting there.
ReplyDeleteThis is why you don't burn stupid timeouts. Clock management is critical in ACC games.
ReplyDeleteThis is bullshit. They don't review the punt, but they are looking at a run?
ReplyDeleteOur defense is good.
ReplyDeleteI left a note here earlier about the refs. Big BC home games are fixed
ReplyDeleteFSU - 9 in the box.
ReplyDeleteWe have a running QB. Right?
ReplyDeleteIf we had an average field goal kicker I would feel much better about scoring here.
ReplyDeleteUp to this point he has been. I am not dealing with your shit tonight though.
ReplyDeleteCrawl back under the rock.
ReplyDeleteLike We know, make Wade win the game.
ReplyDeleteGibberish. As usual.
ReplyDeleteHe's never been. Good talk.
ReplyDeleteThere is your run asshole.
ReplyDeleteThere is your second run. Douchebag.
ReplyDeleteYou have ZERO credibility
ReplyDeleteUp to this point? Really?
ReplyDeleteWhat time did the Liz Warren supporting neighbors allow the place to open for tailgating? My bet is 7:30pm, maybe 7:45.
ReplyDeleteThat was Wade's first bad decision.
ReplyDeleteHe is definitely a better runner than passer. See clown?
ReplyDeleteOh it is better than a punt blah blah.
Guys, we're on the same team here. Knock off the attacks.
ReplyDeleteStats?
ReplyDeleteNot only was there a chop block, there was a blatant hold on that play.
ReplyDeleteTGS wins
ReplyDeleteHe is one for you. Number of know nothing clowns here . . .
ReplyDelete1 CT
We want Flutie!
ReplyDeleteI screamed "safety". How did he escape?
ReplyDeleteBtW - 93 Kavalek done for the night.
ReplyDeleteIf u can prove Knuckle went to BC, I might root for FSU.
ReplyDeleteDarn, Golson is ice. What a play. Most QBs would have been hit with the safety.
ReplyDeleteThird a 2. Deep pass to Rudolph
ReplyDeleteEven at 52 he can still move the chains.
ReplyDeleteSlants are killing us. Again we don't see them in practice
ReplyDeleteWade stinks at this point. But it's his first real game.
ReplyDeleteLack of tackling on that Golston scramble. So frustrating. Watch FSU March this down the field now. Ugh.
ReplyDeleteBring back Dana Bible. You know if we want to see slant passes
ReplyDeleteAttendance up to 27,909. Hoping for 30,000 by half time.
ReplyDeleteUr an absolute moron. We don't see slants? Are the Red Sox playing?
ReplyDeleteVery good defensive series
ReplyDeleteThese are best set of corners we have had going back to Dejuan Tribble and that other guy
ReplyDeleteThe slant cleared out the 3rd 2. You are blind and dumb
ReplyDeleteAmazing how the D almost always has a bad first drive and then buckles down. Unfortunately, our offense is so bad that we really can't afford to spot teams 7 points. Not sure what the answer is for the offense, so we may need the D to force a turnover.
ReplyDeleteSeriously. You are the worst fraud sports fan I have ever come across.
ReplyDeleteWe don't have anyone who can catch. The pass to number 24 earlier the one that hit him in the chest/shoulder was pathetic.
ReplyDeleteTGS: hoping for 35k tonight. What's the BC excuse tonight?
ReplyDeleteWe're still hanging around.
Runner runner. HAHAHAHA
ReplyDeleteYou have no idea who or what you are talking about
ReplyDeleteU'd be more fun if u were smarter.
ReplyDeleteTerrible play calling on this drive.
ReplyDeleteDenial is a major problem in your world.
ReplyDeleteRunner runner
Why does BC insist on running the same plays twice in a row?
ReplyDeleteI like having Wade run. It will open up other things.
ReplyDeleteWhy is knucklehead pissed at CT again?
ReplyDeleteNeed a great defensive stand here. Game might be over if we go down 14.
ReplyDeleteYes. On 3rd and long. U don't want Wade throwing there. It's the same as a draw. But he's slow. That's why they only do it in desperation.
ReplyDeleteRun it until they stop it. Buh dum shh
ReplyDeleteCT, since it was too dark for a bike ride through the means streets of Harvard Square, what did you do for a pregame ritual? Hunker down with some Chardonnay and Brie and watch reruns of The View?
ReplyDelete

We have a running QB. Right?
8:39 PM
He should run but he's not good at it. But he should because he can't throw. Might be the best of two bad choices.
ReplyDeleteSlant
ReplyDeleteAny truth to the rumor that Coach A. Wants out after this season due to his wife's health? Apparently she has terrible arthritis and can't take these winters anymore.
ReplyDeleteNext person up. Al Washington is ready
ReplyDeleteI thought the out of bounds call was bad. Saved a TD.
ReplyDeleteTHS: close. I grew up in Atlanta. Drank beer. Pedaling my way through stupid comments. Like urs?
ReplyDeleteWhat about it Knucks?
ReplyDeleteDoes Addazio know the forward pass has been legal for awhile now? Guy makes Pop Warner look innovative.
ReplyDeleteApparently, there is a huge fire from the maintenance building on campus.
ReplyDeleteHuge, huge miss. That saved the game for BC. We absolutely cannot get 2 scores down.
ReplyDeleteIf we get 4 safeties we can win this thing 8-7.
ReplyDeleteIllegal Alien just hooked the kick. Now we can open it up on offense TGS
ReplyDeleteMissed FG!! Let's Go!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful. Maintenance there are awesome(worked summers with them for 2 years). They were probably roasting a pig in there.
ReplyDeleteWas a good call by the refs thankfully. Also got lucky on that missed field goal. The way the offense is being called, it probably won't even matter.
ReplyDeleteWell his QB kinda sux.
ReplyDeleteQuote of the week from Big East.
ReplyDeleteIf BC can ever sync their offensive and defensive units, they will have a legit shot at the ACC. It seems the years the offense is great, the defense struggles and vice versa.
ReplyDeleteI didn't know Donald Trump followed ATL.
ReplyDeleteI am going to build like the biggest wall. Like up to the rafters here. They will pay for it to. They will like it.
Knucks for Hillary in 2016!
ReplyDeleteWho's with him?
It'll be yuuuuuuge!
ReplyDeleteNot all Dude. I said it was quote of the week. Trump is great
ReplyDeleteBig East, that was a micro aggression if there ever was one. You could get arrested at BC now for making a derogatory comment about illegal immigrants. Excuse me, I mean undocumented aliens.
ReplyDeleteSend back all the bad dudes. They will be out of here so fast your held will spin.
ReplyDeleteDidn't we see this same crap at the end of a half with Spaz and Nyquil?! What the hell?
ReplyDeleteThat drive tells u all u need to know about Wade.
ReplyDeleteThat was a wasted possession. I am glad it is close, but that was cowardly at the half.
ReplyDeleteI think Jimbo is an illegal alien
ReplyDeleteBigEast, that was an inappropriate statement. No place for that on a Catholic school blog.
ReplyDeleteAddazio was thinking about his wifes' arthritis
ReplyDeleteFSU is going to be good next year. Not so much this year.
ReplyDeletetouch a nerve eagle? Maybe your green card should be checked.
ReplyDeleteWe played poorly on offense. The defense is very good. The offense needs to find a, just one, receiver and a goddammned field goal kicker.
ReplyDeleteFlorida State played about as well as they can.
We have a good chance here.
BigEast, I called the INS. Phone was busy.
ReplyDeleteLet's get politics involved!
ReplyDeleteI still think BC can win this.
ReplyDeleteWhen will they learn that playing it safe rarely wins games?
ReplyDelete10/10/81 Doug Flutie debuts and changes the course of BC history forever. 9/18/15, Troy Flutie ...
ReplyDeleteSorry, Big East, my mom's side of the family goes back to settlers in the 1600s.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, Aquayo was born in the US. Nothing illegal or alien about him.
We're hanging around. Can't run the ball but so what? Sherm is waiting. Right? Anybody? Is this microphone on?
ReplyDeleteEagle Boston has pointed out this is a Catholic school blog. Limit your off color remarks to pedophiles priests please.
ReplyDeleteATL,
ReplyDeleteWhen is draft kings going to start posting ads here?
Now eagle is supporting anchor babies. Hey bud, keep your leftist ideas off our board.
ReplyDeleteWho thinks we throw it more than 3 times in the second half?
Irony or mis-type? Aguayo. Aguayo. Agu...nevermind
ReplyDeleteI agree with ATL, BC can win this. The Eagles defense is solid, so we just need to find some way for the offense to get rolling. I think we need 17 points for the W.
ReplyDeleteI kinda think Hilliman was deported.
ReplyDeleteWe need to build a wall around this blog to keep Eagle Boston out. Must be a Bernie sanders blog out there that would take the rump swab.
ReplyDeleteOnly way BC can win is by putting Jeff Smith in at QB. It's obvious BC won't pass. They need another weapon on the ground. Start doing the Tyler Murphy offense from last year.
ReplyDeleteLet's keep the focus on football folks.
ReplyDeleteSo many damn stupid penalties. Punt.
ReplyDeleteThey need someone who can get open and catch passes.
ReplyDeleteHarris Williams is hurt.
ReplyDeleteSame play over and over and over.
ReplyDeleteFitch is playing it too conservative. Have to try something.
ReplyDeleteEagle Boston is right. College football is critical, much more important than trivial matters like securing the nation's borders.
ReplyDeleteNot a bit impressed with Fitch. Deja vu.
ReplyDeleteOffense looked better on that drive.
ReplyDeleteGood stop by BC
ReplyDeleteWay out of the illegal's range for a FG
Eagle Boston bragged about being a mayflower descendant. You'd think with a 200-300 year head start on most people he'd at least be able to secure gainful employment.
ReplyDeleteLANDRY is really good.
ReplyDeleteHow much of this can really be pinned on Fitch. Seems like this is mostly Daz's doing.
ReplyDeleteThe nations boarders have been a festering problem for 25 years.
ReplyDeleteOur offense is illegal
ReplyDeleteD must win it I guess. Bring on Smith?
ReplyDeleteJesus Christ. That pass fucking sucked
ReplyDeleteDo we have a scout team QB that could step in?
ReplyDeleteWe need a turnover. Our defense is really good though
ReplyDeleteBring in Jeff Smith. For the love of God!
ReplyDeleteBigEast, you don't know who the reserve QB's are?
ReplyDeleteI don't want any of them. Was hoping there's a 4th string walk on we don't know about that could give it a shot. A pick 6 would be our best hope.
ReplyDelete3-9 for 32 yards. Free Flutie from the beach now. I think I see racial overtones in Daz's QB selection methodology. No justice, no peace.
ReplyDeleteBrave, The game is too close right now. Addazio wants his friggin guy to win the game.
ReplyDeleteTGS has made me a believer. Give me Flutie or give me ......
ReplyDeleteSmith would add another dimension to the run offense. Of course it's too logical to put him in so it'll never happen.
ReplyDeleteWe don't have anyone who can get open. Even Boardner would be helpful on this team. Wade could toss passes up to him.
ReplyDeleteInteresting stat - we have 97 yards rushing to just 84 for Florida State. Willis has the hot hand so not sure why he is not getting more touches.
ReplyDeleteRun up the middle. The imagination astounds me. Like I'm watching a Chip Kelly offense.
ReplyDeleteBC just 2-10 on 3rd down. Sounds like last season.
ReplyDeleteThis play calling is almost comical. Wade is almost comically bad. And I can't take much of Mack Briwn anymore.
ReplyDeleteChrist he should have taken that down and run on 3rd down.
ReplyDeleteHere comes the Gholston turnover.
ReplyDeleteNone of the luck plays are going our way.
ReplyDeleteJohn Johnson and Milano are cleaning up shit
ReplyDeleteGolson is just too elusive.
ReplyDeleteFSU play calling is in a different league. They actually use plays to set up other plays. My God.
ReplyDeleteWohhhhh. Here comes the pick
ReplyDeletePussies
ReplyDeleteThey also have no admission standards so that helps.
ReplyDeleteFlea Flicker to Golson
ReplyDeleteAnyone going to the game in Dublin next year? I need someone to run some guns and Sam Adams to Sinn Fein and the IRA.
ReplyDeleteBC messing with the clock. Learned that one from the Pats.
ReplyDeleteGet ready for a brutally timed makeup call by the refs for the play clock snafu
ReplyDeleteSinn Fein hates Boston College we sold out all their secrets. Look it up. I don't have to explain
ReplyDeleteFuck yes he is a running quarterback
ReplyDelete9 more of those runs and it's a tie game
ReplyDeletethat was for you CT you ignorant dump
ReplyDeleteHow many freaking times do they have to run that damn sweep or fake sweep draw on first down?!? They are fooling no one. There's no purpose to any of these damn calls.
ReplyDeleteIf they had a receiver I would say it is being done to set up a pass from Alston to someone
ReplyDeleteActually a throw back down and diagonally across the field to Wade could be there
ReplyDeleteWin or lose, the defense is a huge positive to take away from this game. It was too hard to gauge how good they were after the first 2 games due to the quality of opponents, but it is clear now that this is a top 10 D. May need them to win 2-3 games for us.
ReplyDeleteI tweeted this, but run the zone option read with Wade on this drive. Something will break open.
ReplyDeleteFather Calinan with the catch
ReplyDeleteThere it was. The receiver pass.
ReplyDeleteCT you taking notes
ATL tweeted something. I'm impressed
ReplyDeleteWrinkles. I love it
ReplyDeleteCalinan is open down the seam on traditional play action
ReplyDeleteBall game
ReplyDeleteAnother terrible play call. Fitch needs to be fired tonight. Ridiculous. Good night.
ReplyDeleteHis forward momentum was stopped. The fucking whistle should have blown there
ReplyDeleteGoddammned refs. Fucking new it
ReplyDeleteI saw it.
ReplyDeleteTurn out the lights, the party's over.
ReplyDeleteWow - too bad.
ReplyDeleteThere is plenty to second guess in this game. Now Addazio needs to open it up.
ReplyDeleteLosing. I will make us winners again.
ReplyDeleteIf Addazio leaves because of his wifes arthritis we should hire Trump
Knucklehead. Smart ur not.
ReplyDeleteThey dont design plays for Wade to run as a primary option. Pls watch more football.
Darn, that's the game. I blame the coaches. Willis was successful running the ball in the 1st quarter, averaging nearly 5 yards per carry, and we have not seen him since.
ReplyDeleteNow, I'll be curious to see what the coaches do. We could start passing down 2 scores. Or, Addazio may just stick with the run and try to get one score to make the game look good.
Play to win the freaking game. There's a reason why you play close games against FSU Daz and you never win.
ReplyDeleteDaz needs to find a nice D2 school in Texas where he can run on every play and his wife will be happy.
ReplyDeleteDaz is the second coming of Dan Henning. ESPN reporting he is headed back to traditional power Temple.
ReplyDeleteCT who is coming in for Wade?
ReplyDeleteHis QB just isn't good. Yet.
ReplyDeleteDoes this mean Jeff Smith comes in?
ReplyDelete#75 just got his QB killed. Completely whiffed the block.
ReplyDeleteHe's down.
ReplyDelete
