Addazio has a new theme for this year. No more "dudes." It is now about the "Power of Unity." Here he talks about it.
That "Unity" starts today. Let's see how our new OC, QB and Oline unite against Maine. Leave your thoughts and comments below.

Got my bike ride in, brewed some coffee, watching some football and soon will be cheering on the Eagles!
Eagle Boston with some classic "big time" New England college football pregame activities, a bike ride (with regulation government sanctioned helmet of course) and coffee (more than likely from Starbucks).
TGS, wore my helmet, but brewed my own coffee. Starbucks is over-rated.
There was serious holding on that QB keeper.
Geez, Kavalek is a beast today!
Not a good start, but they adjusted a bit late.
Maine had success rolling out the QB. Kind of surprised they sat in the pocket the last few plays.
The defensive start was bad. The offensive start was worse.
Their Oline has no shot today.
Ha. Great decision on the punt. Brilliant.
My brother is at the game. He sent me a photo and it is a fairly sparse crowd. Labor Day is just so tough when people are trying to get one more weekend at the beach.
Not really feeling the warm fuzzies yet. Making me a little nervous.
I think this will be similar to last year. BC may go into half in a close game but their defense is going to wear down in the heat.
That reverse to Sherm has not worked since the middle of last season.
I know it is early but I like what I am seeing from Wade. He can hang in the pocket and his throws are accurate. Already, we have converted more 3rd downs than we did in some entire games last season.
Is Gary Tranuil here?
Tranquil
This is sad so far. Hopefully we hit the FG.
The redzone play calling was painful to watch.
Not happy about the way that drive dissolved, but thankful to get the 3 points given last year's kicking woes.
ATL, I don't know if it is the play calling so much as the O-line is getting confused. On the replays, I saw multiple missed blocks. They are whiffing on their assignments.
That was a good defensive stand.
Dudeck!! And Wade's passing is so refreshing to see after Murphy's ineffectiveness last year.
Maine is crashing the line. They don't respect BC's passing nor do they expect Wade to keep it on the option. Big plays are there.
Terrible. This is not the first half I wanted.
Glad to see we fixed the FG problem. Bring in the new freshman.
ARRRRRRGH! IS there not an Aponovicious in the student body?
OK. Open it up for Wade. Let's see what he can do with a 2 minute offense.
There are huge holes for Wade if he keeps it.
7 tackles for loss by Maine in the first half. Completely unacceptable.
Swigert!!!!!!!! Great catch and so nice to see him back.
Very happy for Swiggert.
And converted more 3rd downs that drive!
Addazio said they will use more play action and throw more in the 2nd half.
They should be run into the ground
What's the word on attendance?
slow start....bad D, Bad O....now getting in gear.... improving.
like Wade's accuracy....improvement over Murphy...
seems like little Daz (#81) missed a few blocks..
but while BC is improving from the start...... far from impressive ....yet
still it is just the first game....guys look kinda tight
no surprise Howell shanked the FG from 36 yards. He is a terrible FG kicker.... and really bad over 40 yards
His PATs are clunkers too.. look at the ball. no arc.. no easy leg swing...relatively low PAT ball... its all bad news.. like a guy with a bad gold swing...only so much he can do... he is a punter....not a kicker.... and not a solution
Wade 10-14 through the air and BC 6-10 on 3rd down conversions. I know the line play has been frustrating but there are some real positives from the first half. Also, the D looks really solid so far (after a frustrating opening drive).
Scoreboard watching: Northwestern leading Stanford 13-3 mid-way through the 4th.
like to see BC hire Freese (i think he is available!) as a grad assistant to get the kicking on track
The Daz complainers have one thing right. Field goals.
My brother is in attendance and he noted #81 has missed several blocks. He did not know that was the coach's son.
#81 ANOTHER BAD BLOCK
Addazio missed another block.
A lot of execution issues today.
wonder if little Daz will be in the next series....giacone loss being felt....wonder the S. Caroline transfer guy is ready to play?
O line and kicking game really need work. There has to be a decent kicker out there somewhere. No excuse.
Good D there. Now let's sustain a scoring drive...and get Daniels some real pants.
BC needs to do better on first down. That was a terrible, terrible offensive series.
The play calling is weird. Not going for high percentage stuff on 3rd down.
Not impressed with Fitch so far.
Is Willis hurt? Have not seen anything from him today.
We need the defense to force a turnover. The offense is not getting it done today.
Dixie, Fitch = Daz
Way too conservative play calling here.
The thought of FSU in a couple weeks makes makes me physically ill.
maybe Daz did not give a good half time speech...team not showing fire...not showing intensity
that was a TERRIBLE quarter for the offense...
Conservative usually means the offense is too screwed up to execute
D was good in 3Q
a great offense in 4Q!!
Nice run by Rouse. Finally someone made something out of nothing.
Nice drive. Found some playmakers and Rouse had an awesome TD run up the middle.
Thank God for Tyler Rouse.
I think the coaches were trying not to show too much this game but were forced to open things up due to Maine hanging in there.
Nice reaction on the tip.
Eagleboston...no.
Rouse to the house
Anyone know what happened to Myles Willis?
You don't go scoreless in two qrts vs Maine and "hold back."
They crushed Collins there.
yep... good pressure
Sherm is going to give me a heart attack on special teams this year.
CT, I think they definitely opened their playbook more than they intended to today.
D is playing great.
Alston is flirting with disaster on these punt returns.
We need to improve by major leaps to have any hope versus Florida State and Northern Illinois. Northern Illinois might have more talent than BC on offense.
This is a young team, so I'm hoping they get better and better as the season progresses.
They insist on making me a nervous wreck every damn game.
meh... some good, some bad....not too impressive, but nothing too bad either, ok, maybe being stymied for several sets of downs by a FCS defense is bad sign for BC's O .........overall its a good start....i guess, but hard to know how good or how not good these guys are...
Unless and until Wade poses a consistent threat throwing the ball, this offense will need to be creative.
Oline looked miserable. I mean bad. Physically whipped much of the game. If Maine had FBS depth, they would have kept us to 10 pts.
Alston played an awful game. I counted at least 3 drops. Nearly muffed a punt, then ran away from others he was supposed to have fielded to preserve field position.
A lot of people minimizing a poor offensive performance. Things won't magically get better b/c this was the first game. Right now, Northern Illinois will roll into BC expecting to hold us to under 20. We'll be fortunate to win that game.
