Throw your real predictions out the window. They've been washed away by the weather. I don't know what to expect from either team except that it will be wet. I will keep telling myself that helps BC...until something doesn't go our way.

Unfortunately there's only supposed to be a light rain now. BC may want to bring they play book back.
ReplyDeleteStill pretty windy, favors us, I think. We'll know soon.
ReplyDeleteI am watching the NC State game and it is not a downpour but things are still wet.
ReplyDeletehere we go!
ReplyDeleteR-R-R-P
ReplyDeleteReal creative play calling there on that first drive.
ReplyDeleteZzzzz
ReplyDeleteOh Lord. A slow developing run up the middle on third and short. Bad bad start.
ReplyDeleteduke -> R-R-i-P
ReplyDeletethis might be a long day.....
Based on the first two drives, this game might be a 0-0 for a long time.
ReplyDeleteWhew. Let's try something else.
ReplyDeleteFlutie was lucky that wasn't a pick 6. He stared that in the whole way.
ReplyDeleteWe'll wear them out eventually with our three and outs. That pass should have been a pick six.
ReplyDeleteIf Duke's defense is hardly on the field, there's no chance they get worn out.
ReplyDeleteThat was a terrible call. Great coverage.
ReplyDeletetime form SMITH!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteWhen did Claude Julien become the BC coach?
ReplyDeletethrows are SØ bad
ReplyDeleteoh.. smith is in...
ReplyDeleteEven though that series sucked, I still want Smith out there the next series.
ReplyDeletebut he is not running......
ReplyDeleteDuke figured out Don Brown's weakness??
ReplyDeleteGood Kicker for Duke
ReplyDelete3-0...could that be the final score?
ReplyDeleteteam right, Smith left.... please
ReplyDeleteGame winning field goal by Duke.
ReplyDeletethere you go!
ReplyDeleteSmith might not pass, but we don't have to with him.
ReplyDeleteAnother punt, but I still like the Smith offense better.
ReplyDeleteSmith Pass looked good ....except of course tipped at last moment
ReplyDeleteI don't like the offense with either one. Seriously questioning the recruiting at the QB position.
ReplyDeletegeez Eagleboston... you really lose all faith so quickly
ReplyDeleteOL does look at little better than FSU game....
ReplyDeleteDon't understand featuring Outlaw. Not the better back between the tackles.
ReplyDeletesome cracks in the D...
ReplyDeleteDuke to Dink n Dunk bc to Death.. middle soft
ReplyDeleteDuke has probably the first legit offense BC has faced this year so far.
ReplyDeleteThat should be incomplete.
ReplyDeleteSeveral home town calls already.
ReplyDeletenice. D!
ReplyDeleteJust bring pressure. The LBs look bad in coverage any way.
ReplyDeletemr automatic
ReplyDeleteD has given up 2 long drives. You cannot do that when your offense is completely inept.
ReplyDeleteYes, Daniels is not good in coverage (or catching the ball), hence th soft middle
ReplyDeleteRush is nt getting enough pressure on Duke.. he does get rid of ball pretty quickly...still..more pressure..
e/b if O can't score... well you know
ReplyDeleteO can't even move the ball
ReplyDeleteSee things open up with Smith.
ReplyDeleteyes, smith makes things happen
ReplyDeletegood
short pass please
ReplyDeleteCoaches need to get the plays in faster. I hate burning timeouts in close games.
ReplyDeleteThat's a TD
ReplyDeletethat is a TD.. announcers awful
ReplyDeleteThe refs are screwing BC today.
ReplyDeleteIf that is not a TD, I'm going to be irate.
ReplyDeletefuck these refs....southern homerism is so ACC....
ReplyDeletedo these not practice the FG snap... omg
ReplyDeleteBC are inept.
ReplyDeleteWelp. Special teams being special
ReplyDeleteAny minute now Addazio's head is going to explode.
ReplyDeleteI'm officially irate. This needs to be reported to the league office. The Duke play was not a catch and that play set them up for 3. Smith had the TD. The refs have cost us 10 points.
ReplyDeleteNo breaks going our way today. Refs making it 17 men on the field for Duke.
ReplyDeleteBecause nothing screams South like Duke University
ReplyDeleteSitting in front of the end zone. That kid made the catch and moved it three times. The fix is in.
ReplyDeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeleteThese refs would be chased out of a pee wee game.
ReplyDeleteSomehow, BC is going to need to find a way to score 17 points or we will be owned by Duke in both football and basketball. Very disappointed in the D today. Extremely vulnerable to the pass.
ReplyDeleteDuke's offense has been awful this yr. def not legit. Like, u know, through 4 games.
ReplyDelete26-0 Duke. BC are awful and inept.
ReplyDeleteYou do know that the ACC ref crew last week in the LSU v Syr game was suspended. For being incompetent v LSU.
ReplyDeletehow many times had BC gone long this year for Robinson???......not effective (except robbed TD)
ReplyDeleteWhere are the short passes?
Why is it taking them 40 seconds to get a play off?
ReplyDeletedeep breathe CT..... we all know the south is corrupt..nothing you can do about it :-)
ReplyDeleteThis is where burning that timeout earlier kills BC. Coaches need to do a better job of putting this team in position to win.
ReplyDeleteswiggert can't catch now????
ReplyDeleteThis offense is approaching Spaz-ness
ReplyDeleteThey stink, stop wasting your time with them. I feel sorry for some of you people.
ReplyDeleteBreath or breathe?
ReplyDeleteDuke isn't the south. The fix is not in.
And yes, the south is corrupt. Too mant carpet-baggers.
This half felt like 2012 Spaz Football
ReplyDeleteI have hope for the second half. All Smith and some defensive adjustments.
ReplyDeleteSmith is not a good game manager. He had zero presence of the clock.
ReplyDeleteHarvard is the Duke of the North.
ReplyDeletecould be either breath of breathe.... you know that whole mindfulness thang
Bc1900 feels sorry for us on the bc message board.
ReplyDeleteI do, I am on the beach right now typing on my phone. You idiots are in front of your computers and tv's. I don't watch this crap, I do like to follow sometimes though through the comments. That Braves guy needs to post and tell it like it is. They are losers, they are not good.
ReplyDeleteWe'll see how tough we are in the second half.
ReplyDeleteDuke will make every effort to score on their first possession. If they succeed, I think we are in trouble of getting a lop-sided score. Cutcliffe not worried about BC at all, at this point.
Go BC - stuff em in the 2nd half, and get some turnovers.
Bama starting to blow out Georgia in the rain in Athens.
Fix is totally in. These refs might as well have Ds painted under their eyes.
ReplyDeleteBy the way this place makes BCs tailgate experience look like Alabama. So beyond pathetic. Makes you really hate Duke for being so lame.
ReplyDeleteThey are better than BC in every sport both schools play. They are better academically. For being lame they are doing something right.
DeleteThanks troll boy. Football at Duke is an fing disgrace. Just highlights how bad BC is this year.
DeleteHey BC1900, thank you. Thank you for sharing your moral superiority with us. Great job to be on your phone and commenting while at the beach, especially to come the comment section and share with us you are at the beach. I also love your pity. My enjoyment of BC football, even when we lose, is definitely something to be pitied.
ReplyDeleteGood first stand by the D there. Just what we needed.
ReplyDeleteSpecial teams being special/
ReplyDeleteWTF
That's the game. Alston has been bad on punts this year.
ReplyDeleteunbelievable
ReplyDeleteWe don't deserve to win this game.
ReplyDeletepainful viewing
ReplyDeleteGoing to be a long year when neither quarterback can complete a 5 yard pass.
ReplyDeleteAnd why is Alston still fielding punts?
NICE GOAL LINE STAND>>>>
ReplyDeletecutliffe has no respect whatsoever for BC..
Wow. Huge D stand.
ReplyDeleteflutie is in
ReplyDeletewow!
ReplyDeleteFirst completed pass of the game!
ReplyDelete10 guys in the box and you run the ball? BC is getting flat out-coached.
ReplyDeleteWe are asking too much of the Defense.
ReplyDeleteNo coach in the country is better than Daz in trying to lose close.
ReplyDeleteCan't play to keep it close and try to win it in the 4th quarter when you have no offense.
ReplyDeleteTGS - Spaz had that same skill! ha
ReplyDeleteSp-D-az is annoying
Smith 2-10. You are not going to win when your QB is that inept. I don't know if Flutie is the answer, but Smith can't move the team. We need find someone that can score.
ReplyDeleteHuge save there by Howell.
ReplyDeleteI see the resemblance now. Daz is the illegitimate coaching progeny of Spaz.
ReplyDeleteThe refs are killing us.
ReplyDeleteI guess to be fair, BC has lost their starting tight end, starting center, starting QB and starting running back. Most offenses would struggle with that number of losses.
ReplyDeleteneed a TD - get it to 9-7
ReplyDeleteWe can still win this game. Come on, BC coaches.
ReplyDeleteFlutie's turn,,,,maybe some passes
ReplyDeleteS-W-E-E-T
ReplyDelete9-7
There you go.
ReplyDeleteWow. Now we need to do it again.
ReplyDeleteI don't care who the QB is - call the plays.
ReplyDeleteWhen they have 9 or 10 in the box, someone has to get open.
Now those were great away uniforms!
ReplyDeleteok, now i request a pic (or better, a pic-6)
ReplyDeleteF-L-U-T-I-E!!!!
ReplyDeleteF-L-U-T-I-E!!!!
F-L-U-T-I-E!!!!
F-L-U-T-I-E!!!!
F-L-U-T-I-E!!!!F-L-U-T-I-E!!!!F-L-U-T-I-E!!!!F-L-U-T-I-E!!!!F-L-U-T-I-E!!!!
Troy's our boy.......can he do it again....
ReplyDeleteDEFENSE - DEFENSE
ReplyDeleteAnd then win the game.
Pass to open up the run. Duh.
ReplyDeletePlay for TD, not FG.
ReplyDeleteHorrid call on 2nd and 7. Careful, Duke trying to strip the ball.
ReplyDeleteGive me a break, coach.
ReplyDelete10 in the box and they run it again!!
ReplyDeleteAnother time out that is going to come back to haunt them. You need to save those for a last minute drive.
ReplyDeleteIdiot announcer blaming Flutie for delay when coaches have been slow all day getting calls in.
ReplyDeleteHave no fear - we have a WR who cannot get open, and who is too small to block on the field for another critical 3rd down.
ReplyDeleteProve me wrong but the OC has to wake up.
That false start was a drive killer.
ReplyDeleteOh Boy.
ReplyDeleteSpaz, I mean Daz playing for FG. Moron.
ReplyDeleteThe coaches played for that, rather than trying for a first down.
ReplyDeleteChicken shit coaching right there. I thought Daz was growing before our eyes, then he reverts to conservative wuss playing not to lose instead of playing to win. Disgusting.
ReplyDelete30 years can't recruit one kicker. I hate them
ReplyDeleteWhat a fuck&*g pussy call.
ReplyDeleteSpecial teams Duke 9 (3 for 3) BC 0 (0 for 2).
ReplyDeleteNow they can kill the clock unless with stuff them completly.
Still not over.
I don't hate going for the FG. Shows faith in d, kicker. People are going to complain no matter what the call
ReplyDeleteNow we are in big trouble. If we get he ball back, we will have less than a minute and the idiot coaches burned a critical timeout.
ReplyDeleteAddazio thrilled to lose close games. Does not understand percentages. No way that kid makes the FG.
ReplyDeleteRan on 2nd and 8 and 3rd and 12. Then Relied on inexperienced kicker on road in tough weather conditions.
ReplyDeleteOur players deserve to win.
ReplyDeleteIf you are always compared to your uncle, call your own plays at the line, Troy.
The coaches are not up to the task.
Why is 26 in there? We need WRs to get open.
ReplyDeleteAgain, why is 26 in there?
ReplyDeleteThe kid smith simply can't throw. Great pattern there. 4th and 3, throw a 1 yard pass.
ReplyDeletethat possession was a disgrace.
ReplyDeleteHow do you not run a route past the first down marker? All coaching there.
ReplyDeleteembarassment.
ReplyDeleteCoaches blew this game. Burning critical timeouts. Running Flutie and then passing with Smith. Absolutely stupid.
ReplyDeletecould flutie not come back in for 1 play?
ReplyDeleteCoaches should apologize to players and fans.
ReplyDeleteThis is real simple. If you like 6-6, maybe the occasional 7-5 year and a trip to lovely Shrevesport or Detroit for a toilet bowl game, then the Daz is your man.
ReplyDeleteThey stink. Both bc football and bball are awful. When will people realize this. The heart wants them to win, the mind says they are awful. Maybe another 1-2 Wins at best.
ReplyDeleteVery bad coaching of special teams and offense
ReplyDeleteFlutie may have gotten a broken collarbone on that play. I hope not.
ReplyDeleteShocking lack of talent on BC. They suck.
ReplyDeleteI should not be too upset because I called this loss in August, but that probably cost BC a bowl. I don't see where they get 4 more wins with this schedule.
ReplyDeletesp-D-az
ReplyDeleteYou can't expect anything more with the offensive talent they have. This isn't a video game. They can barely complete a forward pass. They are inept at best.
ReplyDeleteWho is this 1900 guy? Why is this dick here?
ReplyDeleteI hate to pick on a player - so the coaches are at fault for having #26 in there.
ReplyDeleteIt's okay when he is the 3rd or 4th option - but not when the game is on the line and we needed someone to get open or throw a big block.
Pitiful player rotation - and they won't change.
I wish for the old days, in that sense. Let the QB call his own plays - at least in certain situations.
Someone needs to tell Daz what happened to Spaz. He basically has become spaz with a better defense. Although truthfully, BC was much more watchable 3 years ago when they passed with Rettig all day.
ReplyDeleteNice guy - but one dimensional. There is no substitute for the forward pass. And young QB's need to build their confidence - you have to allow them to play.
ReplyDeleteI am a realist, they suck. Are you blind, it's a joke on the field. Take a step back and really look.
ReplyDeleteCoaches need to apologize - there, I said it again.
ReplyDeletePlay to win. I saw Addazio and one of his coaches talking on the sideline, and Addazio was told they needed "the 35". They played for that position and put the freshman in a tough spot in the rain.
Sure, he could have made it. But they should have tried for the first down, with the FG as the last option.
Instead, they played for the FG all the way.
And then the D stuffed them and we had enough time to win. Those last 3 plays were bad news all the way.
Let's go for Paul Peterson for OC.
Duke should be thankful they were facing a high school offense being coached by pop warner offensive coaching. just an average offense would have been enough to beat duke today. bc has one of the most embarrassingly inept passing attacks i have ever seen. receivers can't separate, qb's can't throw , no offensive imagination. have to feel sorry for the defense. I will admit that if the o line could pass block better and we did have better receivers then maybe flutie might show better. it's going to be a looooong season. what really scares me about the future of this team is daz's inability to recruit capable div 1 qb's and receivers and not to mention a field goal kicker.
ReplyDeleteBC need to decide who and what they are. Either get all in and get some serious fund raising going or be like Holy Cross. Except w a kick ass hockey program.
ReplyDelete
