Jim Reid named Defensive Coordinator

There goes my quiet post...

Reid is a perfectly competent guy who did great things in his one season at BC. I don't know if BC will be No. 1 in the country again, but Reid won't screw things up. I will have more on the move in the coming days. Still no word on the remaining openings.

  2. The Iowa linebackers have been terrific. This is a great hire.

  5. The defense could hire Hillary and be successful. Don Brown laid a fantastic foundation. Of course, Reid is a great hire. How about "the meat and potatoes"? The offense is a "ramblin' wreck". Promises have been made to change the offense. It is looking more and more like Fitch stays. Very big mistake. It also looks like the Michigan AD situation is keeping things in traction. If Bates leaves, then the dominoes will fall.

  6. He better have a mustache.

  7. We're not talking about Towlie enough. 6'5", laser rocket arm, 4.50 speed, maybe a mustache, what's not to love?

  8. Fine with Reid. The thought of Fitch staying makes me very depressed.

  9. im sure daz will bring in loeffler as mod has predicted --- which will also be meh.

  10. Harry

It's obvious to me he is. Just hired a 65 yr old DC, and brought in a 5th yr QB. Sure looks like he's taking the George Allen approach "the future is now"

  11. yeah possible -- Loeffler does have a decent repuation with just the qb position (brady, henne, tebow) so maybe he can do something with the Towles - but his offenses haven't been all the successful with him as OC

  13. Reid is a solid hire. Loeffler would not be a good hire. Virginia Techs offense has been terrible for years. Can't we get someone on the rise from a smaller school who has been successful? Or how about the BC grad geek who works for Payton in New Orleans(think he is still there). He called some good plays when Payton was suspended for the season after the bounty problem.
