BC remains committed to the Michigan camp, including new DBs coach Anthony Campanile. Nunzio Campanile even mentioned his brother's commitment:
"I love my brother more than anything in the world. I just don't want anything to do with my kids going to a camp at Paramus Catholic."
Fortunately, Campanile has enough pull in New Jersey and with his brother that BC won't miss out on any Garden State recruits who don't attend the Harbaugh camp.
Wow....ATL, maybe some days you should just post a pic of a Godzilla burger with a headline "Go EAGLES!" and just be done with it. I don't think anyone would be mad at you if you did.

ReplyDeletebceagle93, the Godzilla burger has been awful since Man vs Food filmed there, get real. But you're probably happy just eating any old burger, just like Brad Bates and his flunky, Daz.
ReplyDeleteTwo all beef patties
special sauce, lettuce, cheese
pickles onions
on a shit BC football bun
Jim's Deli over Eagles Deli.
ReplyDeleteThese Satellite camps are a joke and the NCAA had it correct when they said to ban them. But the NCAA again backs off to the "Powers -to -be". The NCAA should be dumped anyway since they continue to display their ineptitude as in - Does North Carolina receive some serious sanctions for all their deceit and fraud - FAKE CLASSES etc WHICH THEIR FACULTY ADMIT etc. Poor Miami gets sanctions for situations far less serious than the Tarheels and in the NC case , professors and Administration were all aware of the FRAUD. The manner in which the NCAA conducts itself is a great example for the young athletes. Give me a break !!!!
ReplyDelete@ATL - the comment above I as "MOD34b" is a fake mod34b -- blog identity fraud - probably games from blist. please delete.
ReplyDeleteGuido, you also forget Penn St. getting off probation early before it's revealed that Paterno knew about Sandusky since the early 70s. But USC, who was on probation even though the NCAA could never really prove its Reggie Bush case, had its early probation termination request denied. What a laughably corrupt organization.
ReplyDeleteWait, sorry, ATL, that post was me. I hit my head a lot playing Madden back when and i have trouble remembering some things. Which is good in a way, since I sometimes forget Daz is the coach.
ReplyDeleteFuck you Hoib!
@ atl - MORE GAMES FROM BLIST. PLEASE DELETE LAST POST
ReplyDeleteI kind of like the idea that BC essentially has eyes at two different camps now. There is no way Nunzio is going to hide things or steer his brother wrong.
ReplyDeleteBut that is ignoring the fact that these satellite camps took no time at all to spiral out of control. BC needs to come up with a strategy on how to survive in this landscape that hopefully isn't 100% based on fighting for the crumbs left over by the big guys.
Greatest rivalry in college ball. I love the way those 2 programs go at it. Getting back to the Woody Bo level!
ReplyDeleteBravesbill - You are so correct about Penn State - I guess that I am trying to forget that HEINOUS situation . Paterno is certainly not an icon in my mind and his family SHOULD JUST SHUT UP!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteGuido - the primary problem with the NCAA is Mark Emmert. When the guy at the top is a mendacious dickhead - it affects everything.
ReplyDeleteNappy
ReplyDeleteI disagree. The system is the problem. Particularly w/ football. It's a profession that likes to deceive the public that it isn't. They put a fig leaf here and there, in a weak attempt to play at being an amateur endeavor., Most of us see through that and know it's all about the money. The NCAA is engaged in the same kind of spin that comes out of Putin's Russia.
Fair enough Hoib but I am probably in the minority when it comes to college football.
ReplyDeleteThe universities have no business subsidizing the NFL with a professional minor league
dominated by a majority of players who have no business being in college, don't graduate or get useless degrees and, unless they enjoy a long NFL career, wind up on the streets or with low paying jobs. Now I realize that getting these kids to play NFL lotto for them raises a lot of money for the schools directly and indirectly that is put to good use. But then again I am in a minority as to the proper role of college athletics at a tax free not for profit educational institution and the ludicrous compensation levels being paid to these coaches. If these "not for profit" schools can afford to pay these coaches like Fortune 100 CEO's - they should not be exempt from State and Federal income taxes on their professional sports franchise.

ReplyDeleteI agree w/ everything you say, but the train has left the station. It's only going to get more commercial. Allot of the money going into the coaches pockets should be going to the players IMO. I also think this shouldn't be looked at from a BC perspective. We are very marginal players in this racket.
