  1. Off the bat, a huge dislike for the changes to the uniform. The stripes on the sleeves & pants are cheesy and distracting, especially on TV. Let's hope that is the worst thing about this season.

    ReplyDelete
  2. "Myles Willis, the sophomore." Ah, he's a senior ESPN.

    Uniforms look fine.

    ReplyDelete
  3. I don't hate the uniforms like I thought I would.

    ReplyDelete
  4. Agreed. The uniforms don't bother me like I thought they would. And I love the Celtic knot work on the helmet stripe. Real nice touch.

Play calling feels super familiar though.

    ReplyDelete
  5. New season. Started off run run pass. Sure that caught GT off balance. Thank goodness for the penalty

    ReplyDelete
  6. It has only been a few plays, but Towles does look athletic.

    ReplyDelete
  7. It has been this long since BC won an ACC football game:

    55,641,600 seconds
    927,360 minutes
    15,456 hours
    644 days
    92 weeks
    1 year, 9 months, 5 days

    Go BC

    ReplyDelete
  8. That whole play seemed rush. The huddle, the subs, bad pass. Ugh.

    ReplyDelete
  9. Hate ref Ron cherry.
    What a drag

    ReplyDelete
  10. NO excuse of the offside penalty there. That is not mentally being prepared.

    ReplyDelete
  11. Well after a promising start, they revert back to last year's form.

    ReplyDelete
  12. Last play on offense was very disorganized. Daz was asking them to rush it. Why the surprise? Why were we not ready for that play

    ReplyDelete
  13. Int play was ok play. Poor execution by Towles

    ReplyDelete
  14. The first drive was immensely better than last year. Lots of 3rd and shorts. Several first downs. We can build off of that.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Can't get off the damn field now either.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Pass coverage has been horrific so far.

    ReplyDelete
  17. It's safe to say the secondary is pretty weak right now.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Bad. You can't allow GT to pass like that. Not a good start on either side.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Not concerned yet. If you remember last season, the BC defense always started slow.

    ReplyDelete
  20. You should be concerned. Even if they get better later they're going to be gassed. Spent half the quarter on the field there.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Strachan impressive

    ReplyDelete
  22. That TD showed how we're going to miss Brown at DC. No way he leaves the perimeter that wide open.

    ReplyDelete
  23. More creative play calling. Run run pass.

    ReplyDelete
  24. I am concerned with the penalties. 2 inexcusable offsides penalties and an illegal formation play. Can't do that when you are desperately searching for your first conference win in 2 years.

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  26. That drive was not very reassuring. Towles looked rush. The Line looks just ok. GT doesn't respect our pass.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Towles made a bad decision there. 3rd and 9, you have to throw. I would give him one more drive and then see what Wade can do.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Towles has some happy feet too.

    ReplyDelete
  29. OL looks ok. Making some room for Hilliman and some time for Towles.

    Towles needs to settle down

    ReplyDelete
  30. After first quarter performance Bates should give contract extensions to entire offensive coaching staff. Need that continuity.

    ReplyDelete
  31. "We got a shot!" - Wagner Seahawks

    ReplyDelete
  32. That was blitz they should have used on the last 3rd and 15. Keep it up

    ReplyDelete
  33. That Defensive series was better.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Starchan. The new Kuechly

    ReplyDelete
  35. Holy crap. A pass on first down.

    ReplyDelete
  36. A true first down! The game opens up once they started passing.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Why did they stop passing?

    ReplyDelete
  38. Who is #6? No 6 on the roster.

    ReplyDelete
  39. nice call with the screen

    ReplyDelete
  40. The problems are different, but the Offense is still frustrating to watch.

    ReplyDelete
  41. I thought that was interference on the pass. BC needs to do better in the running game to set up shorter 3rd downs.

    Kicking game continues to struggle.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Why the f would you play for a FG on that third down when your kicking game flat out sucks?

    ReplyDelete
  43. Lichentenberg is a punchline

    ReplyDelete
  44. Nice job with the kicking game Daz....

    ReplyDelete
  45. Three damn years and still no kicking improvements.

    ReplyDelete
  46. A missed FG. I'm shocked!

    ReplyDelete
  47. wss kick too low? Or was it bad line play. Thinking kick too low

    ReplyDelete
  48. Someone should let Daz know if you want to grind it out, play good d, and be conservative you need an excellent kicking game. How does he not fix this?

    ReplyDelete
  49. Bravesbill, I don't have the problem with the play-calling on that drive. It was the execution that was the issue. If they generate some yards on the runs, they have 3rd and short instead of 3rd and long.

    ReplyDelete
  50. At least we don't have fat cheerleaders. Like GT.

    ReplyDelete
  51. I didn't have a problem with the play calling until that third down screen. They actually mixed it up on first down and passed twice. That screen had zero chance though.

    ReplyDelete
  52. Nice fucking hit by Schwab. Another in the line motherfuckers

    ReplyDelete
  53. That screen would have made more sense if they were going to go for it on 4th down.

    ReplyDelete
  54. Nice hit by Schwabe! Thomas is going to feel that.

    ReplyDelete
  55. We have that...

    ReplyDelete
  56. The Oscar Wilde statue looks like Bates! Ga

    ReplyDelete
  57. Towles still doesn't look that comfortable.

    ReplyDelete
  58. OL is giving him time.

OL certainly a major improvement over 2015

    ReplyDelete
  59. If Towles "were Tom Brady in the pocket" he wouldn't have transferred.

He looks competent. After last season I will accept competent.

    ReplyDelete
  60. The roster numbers the team has online don't match the players numbers in the game.

    ReplyDelete
  61. I understand that it is wet, but Towles is not looking like a sharp passer so far.

    ReplyDelete
  62. This comment has been removed by the author.

    ReplyDelete
  63. Towles has a weird throwing motion. It looks like he's actively pulling back on his release (like decelerating a golf swing).

Wish he saw the RB underneath on that last 3rd down. Make the easy pass.

    ReplyDelete
  64. We need points here.

    ReplyDelete
  65. Time for a Walker punt return TD

    ReplyDelete
  66. Great play by war daddy.

    ReplyDelete
  67. I quit if he calls a kick block and we get penalized here.

    ReplyDelete
  68. My mistake. It looks like Rouse is the punt returner this season.

    ReplyDelete
  69. Rouse has looked good on these punt returns. Thankfully they've left the fair catch at home.

    ReplyDelete
  70. Clock management again an issue. Running with the clock ticking down.

    ReplyDelete
  71. They need to use their trick play right now. Whatever it is. They need a fucking TD

    ReplyDelete
  72. Oh fuck. Typical. What a disaster.

    ReplyDelete
  73. Towles already feels like a veteran BC QB.

    ReplyDelete
  74. Stupid freaking game management there too.

    ReplyDelete
  75. Towles is costing BC the game so far

    ReplyDelete
  76. Darius Wade? Serious.

    ReplyDelete
  77. 0 points and under 50 passing yards at the half. Seems familiar.

    ReplyDelete
  78. I think he only had one option on that throw and it wasn't open.

    Play sucked to.

    ReplyDelete
  79. Clock management issues again. Wow. We now know what we have with Daz.

    ReplyDelete
  80. There is still plenty of Football left, but not a great first half.

    ReplyDelete
  81. If I were Adazzio I would be pissed about the timeout and the run off the timeout with 1 second left.

That was bushleague by Paul Johnson

    ReplyDelete
  82. Well ok. 7-0 ok

Seeing some good and bad with BC

Overall. Not bad. I see some potential

    ReplyDelete
  83. "We're moving the football right now." Huh? You have 107 total yards on offense. And Towles sucks. Daz is clueless.

    ReplyDelete
  84. Rain is having big impact too

    ReplyDelete
  85. Better O than last year.

I think that is Daz's point of reference

    ReplyDelete
  86. ESPN is categorizing the second turnover as a fumble, not an interception. Is that correct?

    ReplyDelete
  87. Well sure. Does this mean he gets to claim that they're a winning football team when they go 4-8 this year ha?

    ReplyDelete
  88. Yeah they changed it to a fumble.

    ReplyDelete
  89. Not great.

But seems like an improved football team.

    ReplyDelete
  90. The defense, as with last year, started slow and then looked terrific. Much better play-calling on offense, just need to execute better. Kicking game and clock management still an issue. I think the only way we win this is if the D can force a couple turnovers.

    ReplyDelete
  91. Daz looks so sheepish and not confident on the sideline. what is wrong with him?

tough first half for the O

    ReplyDelete
  92. i’m reluctant to judge Towles in a game where its been raining for hours, balls are heavy and field is slick. he looks like a shifty runner but not much of a passer -- all the throws seem to be a little off the mark and not a ton of zip.

not opposed to seeing Wade for a series just to see how he looks.

for a team that wants to run run run run, we seem to lack the big time running back. Hilliman just sort of plods along.

    ReplyDelete
  93. El Miz, I think Rouse needs to be the featured back. He just has a quickness the others lack.

    ReplyDelete
  94. Did Bates schedule this game in Ireland or did he inherit it?

    ReplyDelete
  95. The first 10 minutes will determine if I spill a little Kahlua in my coffee.

    ReplyDelete
  96. Sweet. Hilliman. Outrunning DBs. Fast!

    ReplyDelete
  97. Did I say Rouse should be the featured back? I thought for sure Hilliman would get caught. What a terrific run!

    ReplyDelete
  98. Looks like it's just coffee for me this morning!

    ReplyDelete
  99. Eagleboston. What was that about Rouse? :-)

    ReplyDelete
  100. The good news when the other team crowds the box? Big plays if you break through.

    ReplyDelete
  101. Thank God finally.....with the PAT just barely sneaking in.

    ReplyDelete
  102. Addazio needs to know we are in a cardiac game here. He needs to preserve timeouts as this could come down to a final drive.

    ReplyDelete
  103. Echo. Finally! It was like squeezing a "teen age pimple" but it was nice to hear the song "For Boston".

    ReplyDelete
  104. Really critical to get a stop here.

    ReplyDelete
  105. Pop. Bitch dropped it

    ReplyDelete
  106. Now we need to get points on this drive! Huge momentum opportunity.

    ReplyDelete
  107. That half stretch obvious handoff is killing me

    ReplyDelete
  108. That was a great catch by Walker.

    ReplyDelete
  109. Hands. Haven't seen a hands catch like that since Pete Mitchell

    ReplyDelete
  110. Two downs here if you know how to coach.

    ReplyDelete
  111. Nice call.

    Hands.

    I like it.

    ReplyDelete
  112. So conservative in this part of the field. Go for it.

    ReplyDelete
  113. You know what.

    I kick this.

    Short kick. Gives kicker confidence.

    Get lead.

If you miss they get a long field.

    ReplyDelete
  114. And Addazio does it again. 3rd quarter TO in a dangerously close game.

    ReplyDelete
  115. Prefer a FG.

Line not opening too many interior holes

    ReplyDelete
  116. It's over 35 yards and he's had two terrible kicks. And it's wet and rainy. Have to go for it.

    ReplyDelete
  117. Houston, we have a fucking problem.

    ReplyDelete
  118. Of course he missed it. I don't hate the call though.

    ReplyDelete
  119. fG still blows.

    Unbelievable

    ReplyDelete
  120. Like I fucking said. Go for it Daz you joke. It's always a sure miss when you kick.

    ReplyDelete
  121. Great! So you blow a timeout to call a kick when you should have gone for it. I'm losing my patience with Addazio. Bad series of events.

    ReplyDelete
  122. I'm sorry but that was a horrible call ATL.

    ReplyDelete
  123. Lichtenberg hasn't shown he can kick ever.

    ReplyDelete
  124. Like I said that kicker is a punchline.

That kick looked like one of my drives when I was learning how to golf.

Kid has no shame either after that closeup he got.

    Fixer?

    ReplyDelete
  125. Offense working, momentum on our side. Have some guts and exert our will on them. You don't do that by putting our worst foot forward.

Ram it down their throats. Calling a time out to tuck your tail is ridiculous.

    ReplyDelete
  126. You have to go for it in that situation. With most teams, you kick, but with BC's struggles in special teams, you go for it.

Time to see if Knoll can kick.

    ReplyDelete
  127. The D is prepared for all their running.

    ReplyDelete
  128. Why and how in God's name, can't daz recruit a FG kicker in four years? This is so fucking maddening.

    ReplyDelete
  129. Nice throw.

    I like this QB.

I like the throws to TE.

    I like the size mismatches

    ReplyDelete
  130. A play action would be nice here.

    ReplyDelete
  131. Looking like we have guys that know how to catch this year.

    ReplyDelete
  132. I know I am jinxing it, but this drive is going well.

    ReplyDelete
  133. Would have worked with a better pass.

    ReplyDelete
  134. That line is looking stout.

    Underneath was open. Poop

    ReplyDelete
  135. This is the best drive of the day, but we need points

    ReplyDelete
  136. That was a smart play by Towles.

    ReplyDelete
  137. Extra Pt.

    Fucking Gravy

    ReplyDelete
  138. Lots of unscored points left on the field.

    Fucking kicker.

This game is over if we average joe-dirt as a kicker.

    ReplyDelete
  139. So awesome to finally have a quarterback that can pass.

    ReplyDelete
  140. I think Tech is going to start opening it up in the air. In part because they are down and because it is working.

    ReplyDelete
  141. Secondary exposed again.

    ReplyDelete
  142. 83 is a bitch. Shut him up, D.

    ReplyDelete
  143. Not good when you can't stop the GT passing game.

    ReplyDelete
  144. Bad penalty by Moore.

    ReplyDelete
  145. That was a nice run.

    Addazzio needs a timeout here.

    ReplyDelete
  146. Both of those ends were held.

    No call is bullshit.

    ReplyDelete
  147. Must be nice to have a real kicker.

    ReplyDelete
  148. And they have a kicker. Damn. Another cardiac game. Need to play loose here and be aggressive as with the last drive. Don't play not to lose.

    ReplyDelete
  149. Daz better not go conservative here. Can't kill 6 minutes with a 3 and out. Let the boys play and get back into the end zone.

    ReplyDelete
  150. I hope Addazio doesn't go too conservative. Moving the ball and scoring is more important that just killing clock.

    ReplyDelete
  151. Playing not to lose. Bad idea, Addazio

    ReplyDelete
  152. That's the most Dazziest drive that ever Dazzed

    ReplyDelete
  153. That was about the worst drive you could expect.

    ReplyDelete
  154. Did we expect something different? Playing prevent offense which will morph into a prevent defense, thereby preventing a BC win.

    ReplyDelete
  155. That GT Special Team coach looks like Mick from Rocky.

Dazzio is saying cut me, cut me

    ReplyDelete
  156. Spaz freaking tastic

    ReplyDelete
  157. Great, if Tech scores, we will have a minute left and 1 timeout. Kicking game killed us today.

    ReplyDelete
  158. This offense epitomizes why I never wake up before Noon on weekends.

    ReplyDelete
  159. A timeout is not worth 4 seconds on the clock. Just punt it away and save the timeout in case.

    ReplyDelete
  160. More proof that the "Daz" is a 275 pound loud mouth fraud. Talks tough, but coaches like a wuss. As usual, with game on the line, he goes into a shell, coaching not to lose rather than to win.
Win or lose today, there is no real future with this clown in charge.

    ReplyDelete
  161. Opposite. The games should be at 7 am every Saturday.

This team is screwed up. They are fun to watch again though.

    ReplyDelete
  162. Was his knee down when he threw that?

    ReplyDelete
  163. Fucking stupid prevent defense

    ReplyDelete
  164. This defense is legit

    ReplyDelete
  165. Mentally preparing for the worst.
    Again, wusses never win.

    ReplyDelete
  166. Moore has been terrible today

    ReplyDelete
  167. Only 1 timeout left. Thanks, Addazio!!!

    ReplyDelete
  168. Fucking Daz. This is why we can't have nice things.

    ReplyDelete
  169. Poor coaching gets reflected in close games.

    ReplyDelete
  170. 4th and 19 is absolutely inexcusable. This was all set-up by the shit play calling on the last possession. Play not to lose guarantees a loss.

    ReplyDelete
