BC's last chance to make a statement this year. BC's last chance to beat a ranked team. Or if you want to be less ambitious, this is BC's last chance to avoid another blowout to an elite team.

BC basketball off to a resounding start. Down 12-0 to open the game ha.
ReplyDeletePlease, please, let's not be embarrassed on national TV one time.
ReplyDeleteWhich team will embarrass itself more tonight?
ReplyDeleteAddazio signals to the whole world he's going to pound it tonight.
ReplyDeleteThe screen was there!
ReplyDeleteAll of our "special plays" look really sloppy.
ReplyDeleteThis has got to be one of the worst halves of basketball I've ever seen.
ReplyDeleteFSU moving too easily.
ReplyDeleteThat TD was way too easy. Good Lord BC athletics suck.
ReplyDeleteThat was way too easy. No pressure at all.
ReplyDeleteWe are soooooooo good at football.
ReplyDeleteI think the defense has just plain given up. Also, is it just me or does it appear our defensive backs never look back to the ball? It seems fundamental to me but perhaps there is a reason they are not looking back.
ReplyDeleteWillis doing it all by himself.
ReplyDeleteI hope you're not referring to the throwback screen, ATL. They were all over it. Other screen was almost picked off
ReplyDeleteEnough with the Wildcat.
ReplyDeleteNow that the "special plays" are on tape, they're not gonna work anymore for the most part. Teams are ready after the NCSU game. Gotta come up with some new wrinkles
ReplyDeleteSuch terrible play calling. Why does BC try to run it to the edge against such a vastly superior athletic team?
ReplyDeleteThat was really stupid.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fucking stupid decision. Terrible decision. Terrible execution. Just terrible.
ReplyDeleteThat roughing call cost BC seven points.
ReplyDeleteA pass goes right through the hands of Jeff Smith. Then, we rough the kicker. Both were good ideas and well executed but poor coaching. Smith has "hands of stone". In practice, you throw to him in practice until his hands are raw. Roughing the kicker, you are taught to aim for a point in front of the kicker's foot. It's the small things that are killing the Dazzler. Coughlin would coach the small things.
ReplyDeleteThe timing is all screwed up on the plays Smith has come in motion in front of the QB. Poor coaching & execution
ReplyDeleteBC will never be formidable with Daz. Period.
ReplyDeleteBasketball team still down double digits in the second half.
ReplyDeleteThe DLine needs to get more pressure.
ReplyDeleteThat was huge.
ReplyDeletePlay Wade at this point. What is there to lose?
ReplyDeleteI'm with you Bill. If Wade is our future, play him. Addazio shouldn't be playing for his job. He should be playing for our university.
ReplyDeleteNow is the time.
DeleteBC could not play worse offensively
Bring in wade.
The announcers needs to stop saying the BC defense is stout. Making it obvious they do no homework.
ReplyDeleteGet Jones out there. Enough with Hilliman.
ReplyDeleteI thought he caught it.
ReplyDeleteThat was a freaking catch!!!!
ReplyDeleteBC basketball lost. Can we just fire the entire athletic department at this point?
ReplyDeleteAnd there was no way that was not a catch. Conclusive evidence too
ReplyDeleteI think Addazio should stick with Towles in the second half. The coach knows what he's doing and we should cut him some slack.
ReplyDeleteI really feel for the content editors who have to put together this season's highlight disc for the athletic department and Flynn Fund donors. Second half parlor game for EiA readers: What would your title for it be?
ReplyDeleteMBBall lost? No joke?
ReplyDeleteWell, cut Christian some slack too. It takes a while to find some good players.
ReplyDeleteWe don't have any in CT, NY, and NJ.
Wagner beat UConn, so, just saying.
Get behind our coaches - they have a plan.
The plan is steal as long as you can, pad the retirement account and play the scoop, students and alumni like SUCKERS. And blame the players until they improve on their own.
Taking a knee before the half - a running play is the same.
ReplyDeleteThrow the bomb
Open it up
Ya gotta score to win
Nicholls State 79-73. And to think, we extended Christian another year after 0-18 in ACC play last year. It's a good thing we still have hockey.
ReplyDeleteIt's not a good thing we still have Bates.
ReplyDelete@Benjamin, even if Daz is playing for his job he should play Wade. Towles stinks!
ReplyDeleteATL, please start covering hockey. Give us something to cheer for.
ReplyDeleteHere we go, Addazio. Show us something.
ReplyDeleteI have an idea. Towles and run up the middle.
Fire Loeffler tonight. Oh, I forgot. Addazio got him a 2 year guaranteed contract.
ReplyDeleteHistorically bad and BC is tolerating it.
Men's basketball loses to Nicholls State - Nicholls was predicted to finish last in the Southland Conference. Women's basketball lost their opener to Hartford. Good sign as to how ACC ready we will be.
ReplyDeleteBC has allowed itself to become a pathetic fucking loser. Will it ever end?
Maybe we should just stop all sports, except hockey. We have become everyone's Wagner. Just a question ? Are there any bball season ticket holders ? Can't imagine.
ReplyDeleteWhat the hell is a Nicholls St anyways? The game wasn't even as close as the score indicated. Nicholls had a double digit lead through most of the game and was even up 18 in the first half.
ReplyDeleteMost boring football game.
ReplyDeleteMen hoops massively blows too.
ReplyDeleteThanks brad bates
The Wildcat stuff is a total waste of time.
ReplyDeleteUconn loses to Wagner in hoops. Ha ha ha
ReplyDeleteIs there any accountability left for guys that get paid 7 figures?
ReplyDeleteWe still have another quarter of this. Ugh.
ReplyDeleteFSU holding on every play.
ReplyDeleteLet's stick with Towles, run it up the middle, soften them up and eat up some clock.
This is a good plan and Addazio/Loeffler, Loeffler/Addazio know hat they're doing.
Stick with the plan, Steve. We admire a guy who will stick to his guns.
Silver lining: makes Daz departure more likely
ReplyDeleteThis is real - it's not a joke.
ReplyDeleteTowles is so inaccurate
ReplyDeleteI'm embarrassed to be a BC fan. No longer wear BC clothing.
ReplyDeleteThe D has actually been okay tonight.
ReplyDeleteThere was so much holding on that last touchdown.
ReplyDeleteBut let's leave him in. SEC experience.
ReplyDelete35 to 0 and let's try to soften them up and eat some clock.
getting to blow out numbers.....
ReplyDeletegood... hate to say it.... but to quote Nick Lowe "You've gotta be cruel to be kind, in the right measure"
anything to get Daz the hell out of Chestnut Hill is needed... Loeffler too and incompetent Reid...
That sounds like an excuse, but they really are getting away with pretty obvious holds on most plays. Maybe the refs think they are doing us a favor by keeping the clock moving.
ReplyDeleteIronic, since we beat NC State. But its noteworthy that a writer for the Charlotte Observer has penned a piece saying that BC is not pulling its weight in the ACC. Hopefully, the powers that be take note
ReplyDeletewhat's amazing is we were actively TRYING to lose games we literally could not be doing any worse. basketball and football both disasters. we gave Christian a one-year extension last year after he went 0-18, and with this crew i don't see more than 1-2 ACC wins, if that. unbelievable!!!!!! #DRAINTHEHEIGHTS
ReplyDelete*IF we were actively trying to lose, we could not be doing worse
ReplyDeletedown 35-0 in the 4th quarter, what can possibly be the point of having Towles still playing? just baffling, truly unbelievable ineptitude.
ReplyDeleteMaybe we can ask for a running clock
ReplyDeleteThat kicks was impressive. Good for that kid.
ReplyDeleteLet's get the ball back and ride Towles.
ReplyDeleteUp the middle. Let's get the record for 3 and outs.
38 to 0.
Let's try Wade and hand off up the middle.
In all seriousness, the players need to give Addazio the bird and play football.
Addazio is the dumbest football coach I have ever seen.
Too bad he's at BC.
Keep stealing, Steve. Pad that retirement account.
Someone needs to be fired tonight.
ReplyDeleteI am reminded of an old Warner Brothers cartoon with Daffy Duck and Bugs Bunny - the quote being..."Shoot me now. Don't wait till you get home". I have never been so disgusted with BC football. If you can't play the elites why bother making the trip. This staff should be fired. Bates should be gone as in the 4th quarter. Bill Flynn is rolling over in his grave. I forgot who coined the phrase but GTFOOMA
ReplyDeleteStill less than 100 total yards on offense haha. So bad.
ReplyDeleteJimbo Fisher might make this ugly.
ReplyDeleteIs this a 4th all time worst loss in just this one season alone?
ReplyDeleteConverted a third down...
ReplyDeleteHere come the Anthony Brown talk.
ReplyDeleteDaz might avoid the shutout!!
ReplyDeleteThe 4 Elites 202 - BC 17.
ReplyDeleteMod will give us the stats.
The Biology Major scores!!!!
202 to 24.
To put the basketball game in perspective.
ReplyDeleteThey lost AT HOME to a team that was 11-23 last year and plays in one of the weakest Division 1 conferences.
What a shambles
ReplyDeleteWhy does Wade look fat as shiz?
ReplyDeleteWe are stilling doing a post game periscope. Join after the game ends.
ReplyDeleteNo thanks
DeleteMod, do you think Bates will fire Addazio? It sounds like they will not renew Bates' contract but his contract does not run out until the end of the academic year. I highly doubt he will fire Addazio as he is walking out. Further, if BC beats Wake and UCONN, they are going bowling. I doubt BC will fire a 6-6 coach.
ReplyDeleteHe should be fired. I just doubt it will happen.
This is a systemic, multi-year (perhaps decade) issue for BC. When Addazio is fired, we will struggle massively to find anyone that wants to take on this challenge.
ATL, spare yourself the second viewing. Once is more than enough.
ReplyDeleteWhite uniforms and rib protection guards make players look bigger.
ReplyDeleteGood point BJK
DeleteEB - Daz needs to be fired....regardless of by who and regardless of where bates is at...
ReplyDeleteDaz cannot compete in ACC. must go
Well, I don't see how this team can get up for UConn, but maybe I'm wrong.
ReplyDeleteAnd then it's on to Winston Salem, NC.
I have the brown grocery bag ready for the Wake Forest Game.
My God Brad Bates took a big steaming dump on our athletic program, will take years to get over. Good call Atl with your concern about hoops program couple weeks back. Sister Christian oh the time has come!
ReplyDeleteas Daz recently explained, there are 3 groups of teams on the schedule
ReplyDelete4 "elites" (FSU, CLem, Lville, VT)
4 middle-schmidles ACC teams (NCSU, SYr, Wake, GT)
4 Cupcakes. (wager Buff, UMass and UConn)
elites you go 0-4 and then win 80% of the Schlubs and cupcakes... 6-6.. is all Dz wants.. and that sucks!!
He'll be lucky to get it. What a stiff!
ReplyDeleteLet's go BC. You're on the hot seat. What are you going to do?
Ever to Suck!
What a capstone to the Bates era. Today sums it all up perfectly. Can't believe BC sent mea request for money yesterday. Pound sand.
ReplyDeleteMust clean house... clearly we have recruited AA talent... even when we had AA talent before, they were coached up. These guys are coached down and would struggle to compete in the IVY League.
ReplyDelete
