Waiting on CJ Lewis and other links

I usually just post some sort of picture and a "Merry Christmas" post on December 25. This year might be different as one of BC's top remaining targets is set to decide on the big day. CJ Lewis would be the second QB in this recruiting class. BC is the favorite, but plenty of schools are trying to get in the mix.

Landry is considered BC's top NFL prospect in the game

If you have 50 minutes to spare, you can watch a computer simulation of the Bowl Game. This might be more watchable the the actual bowl game. Spoiler: BC wins.

  1. Hope Landry stays. Not NFL ready yet. No way he is a first round pick. Against winning teams he has 3 sacks. Against non winners he has 12. Beating up on Wagner OL not same as taking on Louisville

But he will do great against MD who is terrible at pass protection.

  2. Lewis? Another dual threat QB? I thought Daz agreed to return to a traditional pro-style pocket passer? Is he trying to emulate ND and Ohio State? How about finding the next Matt Ryan instead.

  3. AJ perry MA player of the year. Gunslinger who will he a major hit or a major miss.

Daz will try to tailor the offense to the most effective QB.

  4. He has offers from all the schmuck teams that we beat this year. Not very impressed.

He is obviously committing to BC of he is waiting until Christmas.

This guy further solidifies my thought that Brown, the guy everyone here was cheesed up about 6 weeks ago, is a bust.

Who is the 5th year QB coming in this season?

  5. presently, BC has the lowest star quality level for its recruits among all p5 teams- which encompasses the entire United States. #firedaznow #adzdazasap

BC does have been quality recruits than UConn, UMass, UNH, UMe and URi and SUNY Albany - so there is that for the 'silver lining' crowd. So in the very rocky, hard to farm New England recruiting soil, BC is "ALL THAT."

  6. *BC does have HIGHER quality recruits than ....

  8. Am I wrong or would the commitment of C.J. Lewis mean 4 QB recruits in the 2017 class ??? And my repeat question - how many scholarships can we grant in 2017 ??? Thanks, if anyone knows that answer .

    Hoops getting embarrassed by Fairfield

  10. Another game, another loss. They are comically bad at this point.

  11. How the hell can we keep losing to Division II and III schools and this buffoon keeps his job? Talk about a do-nothing administration. For the love of God, start firing people!

  12. I watched most of the BC - Fairfield game . If BC can not beat a team of this caliber , then the ACC schedule will be a sight to behold. Fairfield is terrible !!!!

  13. This will be another 0 for ACC year. Has this ever happened?

I am sad, embarrassed, disgusted and it just doesn't get any better.

  14. I have this awful feeling we are going to find out something totally messed up about BC and finally understand why its been on cruise control. Like Christian is Leahy's illegitimate child and Addazio is his dim witted half brother while Fish and Bates were quietly wed two years ago in a quiet ceremony in the Keys. After Trump's victory and that tsunami in Japan - would it really be that surprising?

  15. This decent to the bottom is unbelievable. How can the BC President put up with this? It's an absolutely disgraceful situation.

Seriously - how can this be acceptable? Where is the accountability? How can anyone in the Athletic Department stand up in front of an alumni group and expect to be treated with anything but disdain?

Failures - that's what they are. I'm sick of it.

  16. But they're not embarrassed to ask me for a donation almost everyday.

  17. Trump wouldn't tolerate such a catastrophic level of failure. Heads would role and a winning program would emerge. Instead, we have academic egg-heads like Leay running the show.

  18. Just rotten

    Thanks BB. #dismissBatesnow

  19. Commit or "be committed". @mod34b: he wants the money. I am sure that he has already been contacted. Of course, he is not ready. @Georgia Eagle: Ohio State had Cardale Jones at 260 lbs. Patrick Towles is 255 and 6 ft 5 and ran a 4.5. He was the perfect dual threat like he was at Kentucky and the grandson of Jim Bunning. Daz turns him into the "towel boi" and lets him hand off the ball. If you add two and two, you are sure to figure out why Daz does not want another Matt Ryan. He needs to develop a "culture of inclusion" to draw in multiple SEC caliber athletes. Matt Ryan wouldn't do that.

  20. I don't see or understand your logic. Define "culture of inclusion." I'm suspicious already.

  21. They lost to Nicholas State, Hartford and Fairfield.

Northeastern beat Michigan State a few days ago.

The answer is right down the street, Bill Coen, one of the guys they should have offered the job to 8 years ago(Ed Cooley is the other).

  22. The entire athletic department is low energy.

  23. Ha. That 9:25 post keeps pushing the bar lower. On this site, knowing the hourly posters, that's a feat. Hilarious. Keep it up!

  24. Coen and Cooley probably deserve most of the credit for Skinner's better years. A major fall off after they left.

  25. How is the BOT responsible for tonight's loss? Didn't the players have a role? I like to support our players but they lost the game not the BOT. The coach on the other hand has a larger role although the players still need to execute. We seem to be failing on both the coaching front with an effective game plan and on the player front through execution.

The coach needs to hold the players accountable for execution. The AD needs to hold the coach accountable for directing and motivating the players. The BOT needs to hold the AD accountable for choosing a good coach. The Alumni needs to hold the BOT accountable for hiring a strong AD. The Alummi needs to care to keep themselves accountable.

Right now I am not convinced the Alumni cares enough to force the BOT into action but I think there is enough dissatisfaction that the BOT has taken notice and plans to make a change at AD. Whether that translates into coaching changes and improved player performance remains to be seen.

The school has too much money for boycotting with dollars to make a difference besides the academic side of BC is thriving and attracts dollars regardless of athletic performance. Far more power can be expressed to the administration and the BOT by simply saying you are no longer proud of BC because they are not making an effort to be competitive.
