Addazio has boosted New Jersey recruiting so much of late that it is now getting noticed by local media. NJ.com put out a slide show of the Garden State talent that came to the Heights They also pointed out that despite perception, the BC pipeline is bigger than Big Ten schools like Michigan.
Obviously if getting New Jersey talent were all it took for success, Rutgers would be a perennial power. But developing pipelines is important. Now we just need Addazio to turn that talent into Top 25 teams. Once he has that sort of success, there will be players from all over the Northeast wanting to play at BC.

Great news.
But J Peppers went to Michigan.
Last big prospect from NJ was Toal and maybe Jon. Hilliman.
Big state .talent can fill an NFL Team
There are good players to be found everywhere but our bread and butter should be with urban Catholic high schools wherever they may be that play in competitive conferences. And someone on our coaching staff should be on a first name basis with the head coach from most of those schools.
All true mod. Hard to believe though anyone could elevate BC's recruiting to the likes of the schools you mentioned at least in our lifetimes. But we certainly can be doing better - at least back to the levels in the TOB years. Our equalizer in the better years was always a solid OL coupled with a good passing game that gave us a shot even when everything else was fair to middling at best. I cannot recall one season in a lifetime of watching BC where the game analysts ever said we had the better athletes as a team compared to a respectable opponent.
Mod and Nap, I completely agree. You're analysis and expectations for the future of BC football are both realistic and pragmatic.
Your
BJK here. I agree. Let's get back to our rightful place where no one wants to play BC, particularly late in the season when they have their eyes on other prizes - but know BC will be a very tough out with a great chance for the upset.
Yes, 8 and 4 / 9 and 3. 4 and 4 and 5 and 3 in the ACC. Difficult but doable.
Every now and then even better than that.
4 huge, embarrassing blowouts by league teams in one season is not acceptable by anyone - and our Head Coach is on notice!
We'll picket outside the stadium and discourage any fan from entering the stadium to witness such terrible coaching if this continues.
It's completely beneath BC to tolerate this bulls$#t. I do not blame any player - they do their best. The issue is on the coaches and Administrators - effort in light of compensation, etc.
Go BC - right this ship.
No word yet on when Daz's next viral video "Jersey Shore: Eagle Edition" drops showcasing him walking around the Seaside Heights boardwalk doing a medley of fist pumps and talking about "DTL" -- as in Daz, Tan, Laundry.

When we get back to 8-4 he will bitch about that. History repeats its self.
So full of it.
The legitimate gripe with recruiting this year so far is the offensive line. Dazzler won't move his binkie Justin Frye out of the o-line job. Nobody wants to play for Frye. He is a stiff.
BJK, sign me up for picket duty. Knucklehead, your position as ambassador to North Korea is waiting.
From Frye's bio:
"Played four seasons (2002-06) for the Hoosiers under the tutelage of Steve Addazio as offensive coordinator" They go back a long way. Frye will be here as long as Addazio is here. To be a good coach - you need to be fairly ruthless when it comes to the performance of assistants. Too much at stake. Not sure if Addazio understands - Donahue surely didn't.
Back to the recruiting issue. Had BC made an incrementally better long term hire after TOB and brought the program up a notch from there - my expectations would be much higher. Not sure if Jags would have worked out long term - but surely Spaz and Addazio have set things significantly back. So now we just want to get back to the TOB level where we at least have a competitive program with entertaining games. A lot of years and good progress down the tubes because of the dopes upstairs at BC. Just hope the new AD can get this headed back in the right direction and Leahy stays out of it.
GE,
When the program was at its apex in the 2000's he would moan incessantly about the OC, the HC etc etc. They were 8-4, in the ACC Championship game and producing as many NFL players as any school in America.
To insinuate that it will stop when we get back to being 8-4 consistently is disingenuous.
That is stated as diplomatically as it can be.
If bc goes 8-4 and Mod keeps complaining, I will be on your side, Knucklehead.
That won't work mod. I can smell a malcontent from a mile away. Don't need that skill when it comes to you. It is right there every single day.
more negative melodrama. Cannot help yourself.
