The latest player to verbal to Addazio is New York DB Elijah Jones. Jones has a good rating on the major sites and also has a decent amount of Power 5 offers.
After last season and the change at AD, I thought Addazio's recruiting would suffer. It seems like the opposite has happened. This class is stronger than last season's class and based on social media, it seems like they all enjoy each other.
Now Addazio needs to turn this talent into wins.
From Cardinal Hayes HS in the South Bronx - same school as Stalin Colinet (as well as Regis Philbin, Jamal Mashburn, Kevin Loughery, George Carlin and Martin Scorcese). Usual enrollment of well over 3000 - today now less than a thousand.
ReplyDelete@Napoleon Bonaparte: Declining enrollment in Catholic schools is a sign of the times. I knew that Regis went to Cardinal Hayes. However, the names of Carlin and Scorcese are quite interesting. BC is also starting to have problems with enrollment. Why pay and work for an education when you have the universities of Louisville and Kentucky doing what they do in their athletics?

ReplyDeleteGrammar and High Schools do not have nuns and priests as teachers any longer, as we know. Skyrocketing tuition = or likened to Spazadufus teams getting skyrocketed out of games.

Its a small percentage of students who base their college choice on faith. More so now i think being a fait based school actually is a deterrent... location academics sports x the school culture are huge now. No one wants to feel left out and fait based school can give you that feeling.
