Poor coaching = lots of penalties. And one solid short and creative series ruined by a dropped ball, an INT and then conservative play calling. It's not easy being an Eagle.
You don't know anything about sports. I remember the game you first started up on here. Against Clemson. It was a an embarrassment. All bizarre political talk. Zero sports.
Number 2, the end, went way too far inside on that keeper. He needs to contain on the outside. I know the fumbled snap might have caused him to lose focus, but that is a critical mistake. This team seems to be exactly like last year. Look for a 3rd quarter timeout by Addazio.
Khead, I was calling for Daz's head way back when you were praising his contract extension. You are a Daz suck up who just a few days ago said he deserves to survive even with a 5-7 record this year.
Typical Addazio coached team. Just when you get momentum, the team has a mental breakdown and kills yet another drive. This guy just has no clue how to coach a game.
Face it, I've been correctly negative since early in 2015 season. Anyone who knows the game realized the Daz had to go after the WF fiasco in 15. You however, have staunchly defended the tool, probably because you are also inept in your career and therefore feel a certain kinship with the loser.
They are playing a team from the MAC that was 5-7 last year. Coaching continues to be horrendous and they have Division 1-AA talent. Lethal combination
I can't get the broadcast -thankfully. But it sounds like a worse-case scenario with a 2-10 record. Where are all you rah, rahs now with your predictions of 8 or 9 wins. Partisan idiots.
Glass half full, at least a few 10 ranked teams are struggling against inferior opponents tonight. If BC breaks away and wins by at least 2 touchdowns, I'll feel better about this team.
I like that we keep throwing. And keeping the tempo going. Some bad throws and I don't know if this pass blocking will hold against ACC defenses, but I like Brown so far. Not afraid to sling it. Hate to lose, or even be this close against what should be an inferior team, but the style is a lot more fun to watch. And D seems to be settling down.
Give the devil his due. Brown looked good and the kicking game was very good. The announcer said that the NIU kicker could not follow through on the field goal because of pressure from the outside and mentioned Cameron Moore. The kid didn't miss it outright.
So to summarize: the offense is bad. The o-line and running game are brutal. The defense is vastly overrated. Lord help us the only bright spot on the team was special teams. BC got really lucky to win after being outplayed and out coached. 4 wins tops this year.
Posted this on another earlier thread.
ReplyDeleteBTW - This is the NIU Huskies "Blackout BC" Game. Fans will be wearing black.
Don't know how many fans will be there, as this is the start of the long Labor Day Weekend.
Northerners like to "get away" on the last weekend of the summer, and I'm not sure if NIU students are in school yet.
Still, there will probably be 20K fans in attendance in black attire, and we know that small stadiums can be very loud.
Go BC - beat NIU tonight!!!! :-)
BC 20 NIU 0.
ReplyDeleteWow! Undefeated BC taking on Northern Illinois.
ReplyDeleteGo Eagles!
AB is starting QB
ReplyDeleteJust like last year. Drive-killing penalties and dropped passes. Ugh
ReplyDeleteBrown looked fine. Drive not his fault.
ReplyDeleteWow. Kind of proud of Wade.
ReplyDeleteAgree, ATL. Brown's pass was perfect.
ReplyDelete3rd and 17 and a run. Shocked. Such imagination by the Daz.
ReplyDeleteThat drive was not as good. Bad play on the throw out of bounds and terrible int.
ReplyDeleteThat was not a good pass. Brown willl get eaten alive in the ACC if he does not learn fast.
ReplyDeleteKhead on Wednesday. Such an expert.
ReplyDeleteknucklehead 5:13 PM
Wade is starting. Line is decreasing.
Defense looks good so far.
ReplyDeleteI jinxed them. Bad penalty.
ReplyDeleteWucjiak and Daniels cut today. Sad.
ReplyDeleteThis game is painful to watch
ReplyDeleteSame old offense. Crap, crap, crap.
ReplyDeleteWTF Loeffler?
ReplyDeleteOur offense is pitiful. Fire this shame of a head coach already.
ReplyDeleteTime to give another RB a chance. Hilliman hesitating too much.
ReplyDelete3rd and 6, pitch "pass".
ReplyDeleteWide open offense my ass.
BC fans have been suckered again by the Daz.
Poor coaching = lots of penalties. And one solid short and creative series ruined by a dropped ball, an INT and then conservative play calling. It's not easy being an Eagle.
ReplyDeleteGlenn Foley look a like at QB for NIU.
ReplyDeleteWe're warming up. Not easy being 21 yrs old.
ReplyDeleteBC offense is juking NIU's defense out of their shoes.
ReplyDeleteThen it went back up. Brown started.
ReplyDeleteTGS. You have contributed nothing to this blog from a sports perspective. Literally nothing
ReplyDelete3rd and 15, settle for long FG attempt.
ReplyDeleteBad and boring.
Hey! A long FG!
ReplyDeleteAnd there goes Khead with his usual non sequitur.
ReplyDeleteJust shut up and admit you were wrong as usual.
Great Defense.
ReplyDeleteI just fell asleep for a few minutes.
ReplyDeleteTGS again zero contribution.
ReplyDeleteTHIS IS GOING TO BE A LONG YEAR! FIRE ADDAZIO!!!!
ReplyDeleteYou don't know anything about sports. I remember the game you first started up on here. Against Clemson. It was a an embarrassment. All bizarre political talk. Zero sports.
ReplyDeleteboy, I'm glad we kept the QB decision quiet cuz otherwise we'd probably be down by 10 in the second quarter. Oh, wait/
ReplyDeleteNumber 2, the end, went way too far inside on that keeper. He needs to contain on the outside. I know the fumbled snap might have caused him to lose focus, but that is a critical mistake. This team seems to be exactly like last year. Look for a 3rd quarter timeout by Addazio.
ReplyDelete. . . Loser.
ReplyDeleteWow - is our DC up to the task?
ReplyDeleteOur Defense looks terrible and this isn't good.
Let's go coaches - get this going!
Correction, it was not a fumbled snap, just a great read option.
ReplyDeleteBC uniforms are uglier than Khead's sister.
ReplyDeleteKobay White. Let's go Addazio - play your best players.
ReplyDeleteStupid.
ReplyDeletePitiful.
ReplyDeleteWell the new season enthusiasm has certainly waned
ReplyDeletethe senior leaders aren't
ReplyDeleteKhead, I was calling for Daz's head way back when you were praising his contract extension.
ReplyDeleteYou are a Daz suck up who just a few days ago said he deserves to survive even with a 5-7 record this year.
Looks like Glenn Foley, the uniforms are not to your liking. Speaking of non sequitur. Idiot.
ReplyDeleteTypical Addazio coached team. Just when you get momentum, the team has a mental breakdown and kills yet another drive. This guy just has no clue how to coach a game.
ReplyDeleteJoe Moorhead. Now.
ReplyDeleteNo you were not. You were on here bitching about politics. Incessantly. You don't know any about sports. It is obvious.
ReplyDeleteWTF
ReplyDeleteAddazio does not have this team ready and they don't look mentally tough.
ReplyDeleteYou critique everything I say. You love it. Cannot get enough of KHead.
ReplyDeleteFace it, I've been correctly negative since early in 2015 season. Anyone who knows the game realized the Daz had to go after the WF fiasco in 15. You however, have staunchly defended the tool, probably because you are also inept in your career and therefore feel a certain kinship with the loser.
ReplyDeleteTGS. You love the KHead. Every inch of it.
ReplyDeleteCALL CHIP!!!!!
ReplyDeletebased on performance thus far it would not be too difficult to make the case that NIU appears to be the better-coached, more mature team
ReplyDeleteHey, maybe they should have been playing Landry more?
ReplyDelete#2 looks bad - giving up the edge too often.
ReplyDeleteBlah blah blah. Keep trying to defend your lack of sports knowledge. Moron.
ReplyDeleteCALL CHIP KELLY!!!
ReplyDeleteGonna be a long season with this clown in charge
ReplyDeleteThey are playing a team from the MAC that was 5-7 last year. Coaching continues to be horrendous and they have Division 1-AA talent. Lethal combination
ReplyDeleteThat's a disgrace. Loeffler is on notice.
ReplyDeleteOnce again, give the other RBs a chance.
ReplyDeleteSo happy they're serving alcohol this year, at least it will dull the pain of another miserable year. BC is going 0-12 this year. Terrible.
ReplyDeleteit would not be unfair or inaccurate to say that there are more Huskies in the BC backfield than Eagles on BC running plays.
ReplyDeleteLet Dillon take some handoffs. Hilliman has nothing going
ReplyDeleteI used to enjoy watching BC football
ReplyDeleteDo not put Hilliman back in.
ReplyDeleteChris, best post of the 2017 season so far.
ReplyDeleteGlad I am not having to watch this.
ReplyDeleteDoesn't matter how much booze is being sold. They have proven this year is more of the same run, run, penalty/gaffs, punt mentality. See you in 2018.
ReplyDeleteWhat's worse? 3 up the middle or 3 up tempo up the middle?
ReplyDeleteLoeffler had better start showing something. Addazio too.
This is pitiful so far, and I'm with Tim.
Our OL looks bad - as usual.
I know the back-up QB is always the fan favorite, but how long do we tolerate this ineptitude? Is Wade just terrible?
ReplyDeleteLet's go, players. Take off your own shackles.
ReplyDeleteUp tempo!! We get stuffed at the Line. Stuffed fastBoston's College!
ReplyDeleteBasic fundamentals lacking. Smith takes/ off upfield before he receives the ball.
ReplyDeleteI thought the strength of our team was the running game.
ReplyDeleteDillon goes in for one. Yanked. Back to Hilliman. Smh.
ReplyDeleteI like #3, but we have better receivers.
ReplyDeleteKobay White!!!!!!
I can't get the broadcast -thankfully. But it sounds like a worse-case scenario with a 2-10 record. Where are all you rah, rahs now with your predictions of 8 or 9 wins. Partisan idiots.
ReplyDeleteThe only team that has adapted to tempo is NIU. Injuries and shoes.
ReplyDeleteaddazio's body language/demeanor on the sideline is that of a petulant child ... lack of maturity
ReplyDeletePass blocking is decent so far. Run blocking is pathetic.
ReplyDeleteThe OLINE is not doing Hilliman any favors.
ReplyDelete2-2 on field goals. Never thought I would see those days again.
ReplyDeleteWow - wide open TE.
ReplyDeleteNow they need to keep NIU from scoring.
ReplyDeleteHow did Brown miss that guy?
ReplyDeleteOur Offensive Line is not getting the job done.
ReplyDelete1-23 when trailing at the half under Daz. Good Lord.
ReplyDeleteSteve Addazio is 1 and 23 when trailing at the half. :-)
ReplyDeleteLet's get the players on the field who can bring us to victory.
How can an offensive line be so experienced yet so pathetic??????
ReplyDeletethis is a big play moment
ReplyDeleteThis possession is critical. Need some points.
ReplyDeleteThe 1-23 stat is so telling. Can never out coach anyone.
ReplyDeletethat was very good
ReplyDeleteTouchdown Eagles!
ReplyDeleteAiring it out worked. Nice drive.
ReplyDeleteTouchdown!!! Now FIRE ADDAZIO!
ReplyDeleteso the first 29:30 was rope and dope?
ReplyDeleteI liked the screen to Kobay. Line cannot run block. That play will be key for them this season.
ReplyDeletePatriots used to run that on the early 2000's when they couldn't run.
Not a great half, but the blueprint is there on how to win. Throw and keep NIU off balance with end arounds.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations #3 - great job and shut me up. :-)
ReplyDeleteNow we see what kind of potential we have. Kobay White looks awfully good.
Brown has a gun and he can move.
I don't know what to think of Hilliman. It seems as though the Defense knows exactly what he's going to do and our OLine is letting them through.
Come on OLine - knock these guys off the ball and give your RB a chance.
Go BC - we're looking for your potential to at least = 3 more TDs in the 2nd half.
A light bulb went off about 1/2 through second quarter.
ReplyDeleteLet's build on good D and good O we just saw
(But OL had issue. The WVU dude #74 looks terrible )
They are playing a below .500 MAC team. A team that would lose by 60 points or more to Clemson or Florida State. The first 29:30 was who they are
ReplyDeleteThe difference between the Patriots and everyone else? The Patriots cheat.
ReplyDeleteUp 25!
DeleteGlass half full, at least a few 10 ranked teams are struggling against inferior opponents tonight. If BC breaks away and wins by at least 2 touchdowns, I'll feel better about this team.
ReplyDelete@BC fan since the 60s: I am afraid you're are completely right ... allow me my solace for now :)
ReplyDeleteSeriously. First game.
ReplyDeleteI accept all 25 jokes. Because I'm Catholic. I believe in never being happy. That's how you build a church.
ReplyDeleteOK Guys. Let's go.
ReplyDeleteBrown has a strong arm.
ReplyDeleteFreshman throw.
ReplyDelete@ CT "I accept all 25 jokes. Because I'm Catholic. I believe in never being happy. That's how you build a church." Hilarious!
ReplyDeleteI like that we keep throwing. And keeping the tempo going. Some bad throws and I don't know if this pass blocking will hold against ACC defenses, but I like Brown so far. Not afraid to sling it. Hate to lose, or even be this close against what should be an inferior team, but the style is a lot more fun to watch.
ReplyDeleteAnd D seems to be settling down.
Another good defensive stand. 13 points might be enough to win.
ReplyDeleteAll right - how about we drive down and score this time?
ReplyDeleteATL - let's get 34 points tonight. :-)
ReplyDeleteIn fairness, Hilliman made something out of nothing.
ReplyDeleteBrown is promising so far.
ReplyDeleteRun blocking looks better this quarter.
ReplyDeleteHas the OL just worn down the other side or are they blocking much better on the run in the last few series?
ReplyDeleteAnother great drive.
ReplyDeleteMore like it should be tonight! TD Eagles.
ReplyDeleteLove love love Brown's confidence.
ReplyDeleteAnthony Brown looks like a black version of Glenn Foley. The way he sits back there and fires it in.
ReplyDeleteWhat's going on with the D?
ReplyDeleteNIU is making adjustments on offense. Can our D?
ReplyDeleteDefense looks slow
ReplyDeletepretty good play calling and execution for NIU
ReplyDeleteThat was a terrible drive for the D.
ReplyDeleteYeah. Their 3rd misdirection. Hard to learn.
ReplyDeleteThis ain't Don Brown's D.
ReplyDeleteReally bad for the D that drive. Time to sling it again.
ReplyDeleteDefenders are constantly out of position, That is on the coaches
ReplyDeleteElite Defense.
ReplyDeleteI've been watching BC Football for a long time. This D is highly suspect.
ReplyDeleteThis game is now in doubt.
Now it is a game again.
ReplyDeleteOne more quarter to see what they're made of
ReplyDeleteWhere is Landry?!
ReplyDeleteLandry is good.
ReplyDeleteIt's tough to have any confidence that our D will stop this go ahead TD.
ReplyDeleteUnreal.
Interesting he wasn't named captain. Picked by the players.
ReplyDeleteThis outs Addazio in the position of having to be good at something he has not handled well in the past: game management
ReplyDeleteCompletely real. Haven't you been watching BC football for the last 30 years +.
ReplyDelete. . . Never easy.
ReplyDeleteThe near turnovers tonight are also going to haunt us if we lose.
ReplyDeleteYeah the captain thing is interesting.
ReplyDeleteLandry IS good. Obviously.
ReplyDeleteBut where is he tonight?
Pathetic
ReplyDeleteBC doesn't deserve to be in the ACC.
ReplyDeleteListen. If we're rolling with AB, then we have to reset our expectations.
ReplyDeleteOn some level, u gotta respect Daz.
DeleteHigh school punt.
ReplyDeleteLook on the bright side - we have all 3 timeouts
ReplyDeleteHuge stop there by the D on 4th down.
ReplyDeleteOK. It is gut check time. Time to separate the men from the boys. Do or die. There is no tomorrow. Last chance. Fight or flee.
ReplyDeletePlay action to Kobay
ReplyDeletetough night for baker
ReplyDeleteThat call was bullshit.
ReplyDeleteNice punt
ReplyDeleteThat was what we needed. Now get some damn points.
ReplyDeleteThank God this NIU QB sucks
ReplyDeleteGood coverage wins.
ReplyDeleteThe program is officially Brown's.
ReplyDeleteOur Offensive Line stinks.
ReplyDeleteThis is tough to watch.
Put in the second string OLine.
The line sucks. When does Justin Frye get held accountable for it? Been 4 years of poor play and no improvement.
ReplyDeleteThis is tough to watch and I have early golf
ReplyDeleteOur OLine stinks. Bring on the second string if we get a chance
This is NIUs to win with a long drive.
I'm with Knuckle - Frye must go.
ReplyDeletethird and 10. time to stop. good job
ReplyDeleteAnother good defensive stand.
ReplyDeleteYeah. Landry.
ReplyDeleteDo you think we have a chance against FSU?
ReplyDeleteThere u go daz
ReplyDeleteGlad he went for it on 4th.
ReplyDeleteTrue freshman center.
ReplyDeletelate flag
ReplyDeleteLet's run 32 up the middle.
ReplyDeletewow
ReplyDelete3(?!) field goals in one game?
ReplyDeleteNow it is up to the D. Brown put together good drives during tight moments.
ReplyDeleteThis game is not over by any means.
ReplyDeleteGo BC
NIU will now go for the win outright. Unreal.
ReplyDeleteSometimes it is okay to be lucky.
ReplyDeleteI actually feel bad for that kid, unless it was tipped.it might have been.
ReplyDeleteWe were lucky to win for sure.
One of the ugliest games I've ever listened to.

ReplyDeleteNot pretty but I will take it. Jury is still out. There were some things to be excited about but enough to be concerned about how the season will go.
ReplyDeleteWhat a gift! Two years in a row by 3. Glad to see we've turned the corner.
ReplyDeleteBetter to be Lucky than Good
ReplyDeleteA fitting summary of tonight.
Hats off to new special teams coach Ricky Brown. They were nearly flawless tonight.
ReplyDeleteWell. The future is now with Brown. Credit Daz for that.
ReplyDeleteThe Oline is an issue. I think the next couple of years will see the same posts over and over. Can't wait.
I like winning. Let's move on.
