Catching up on this weeks blather and saw the usual misinformation from Khead. He was scoffing at schools like Stanford (1530 avg. SAT) by insinuating BC (1435 avg. SAT) was Stanford before Stanford (to quote the blog's resident Mensa member, "I don't need no proof from Stanford"). Laughable. Stanford has won 11 or more games in 5 of the last seven seasons. They won 10 and 8 in the other two. That's seven straight 8 wins or better seasons, 6 with 10 or more. BC's last 8 win season was in 2008. Even more sadly, BC has won 11 or more games exactly two times in 83 years, once since 1940. And, last time I checked Stanford hasn't had three gambling scandals since the 1970s, that would be BC. Never let the facts get in the way of a moronic argument Khead. Khead also inferred he is pursuing a post grad degree at our beloved alma mater. I thought you at least needed a HS equivalency diploma to get into BC. Boy have we lowered our standards. Khead, you already are a PHD, pathetic, homely and dumb.
Looking forward to the distraction after my 18 year old son's suicide on Thursday. Even bad BC football is monumentally better than what I have been dealing with the past 2 days. 3 hours without grieving will be a welcome respite.
UConn getting trounced by Virginia. Gives hope for at least one more W but probably means Virginia is out of reach. I see BC at 4-8 this season with Daz getting the boot. Winning at least one ACC game is important for next coach to have a base to build on and to hold recruits. There is potential for a surprise win to go 5-7...here is hoping that ND is that game but I am not holding my breath. Go Eagles!
Eagle Boston - may God bless you and your family and may God bless your son. Absolutely. I have no words except please rely on your loved ones and friends at this time and one breath to the next.
Thanks for all of the thoughts. This was his 5th attempt so we have been through hell for a number of years. Coming on this blog was always a fun diversion. That is why I try to steer things to kindness on the blog instead of criticizing each other. We're all on the same team. Let's have great and civil debate but realize nothing that happens on this blog or with BC football is really that important. I will be burying my youngest child on Friday and that is something I hope none of you ever have to experience.
Good 1st down then Hillman twice up the middle. Are our coaches throwing these games? I'm not kidding. These guys have to be shi€€ing me. You can't make it up
ND should have watched game film and realized they could press BC. It they maintain this conservative approach BC should be able to stay in the game and avoid a blow out. Throw in a couple of ND turnovers and anything could happen.
Sorry following on gamecast. Did he just run the clock out on purpose or was this a clock management issue?? Either way how you only run 2 plays and no hailmary???!!!!!
the expression "one awe sh-t wipes out a thousand atta boys" applies to what Daz just did--playing great ball all around and he doesn't try something--mind boggling. With that being said Kudos to the offensive line,Brown and coaching. let's hope it continues in the second half
Daze talks about being a dude but coachs like a dud!! How can you go to the half with 2 timeouts in your back pocket. The defense makes a "dude" play and he runs out the clock!!!
The end zone looks fantastic. My family had seasons tickets from '83 until '04. Included in that was the ugly 90's bright yellow end zone and the subsequent attempts to be edgy. Not sure who is responsible for the maroon and gold end zone they have now, but my compliments.
Halftime thoughts: We are in this game. The players have more passion than I have seen all season. Penalties are a killer. Why did we not do a Hail Flutie as time was running out. Your only risk is an interception and a 99 yard return. Possible, but not likely.
I'm very encouraged by the young talent but if daz is manning the sidelines 8 wins is the ceiling. I fell in love with Bc in the early 2000s and the ever to excel motto. We were so close to conference championships and that seems impossible now.
How Landry is being used is totally mind boggling. Then to have comments say that both ND tds went right over his backup. The only thing that I can figure is that they are saving him for the Senior Prom.
I think the Daz must have compromising pictures of Leahy, has friends on the BOT, or is truly dilusional. He coaches as if has a great resume and is untouchable, when in fact the opposite is the case. That said, ND talent level is down this year and BC could actually win this game.
This is an average ND team that was 4-8 last year and will struggle to win 8 this year, but they will probably end up winning today by 20. Shithead set the tone for 2H by playing like a pussy at end of half.
Little things are killings us. The drops, presnAp penalties, runnibg routes shorty of the sticks, keeping contain on a qb who can't pass and ouch Landry wtfffff
I apologize to everyone, and please pardon my language. This is my 50th anniversary year - Class of 1968. I have been a BC Football fan since I was 15 years old = 56 years.
Addazio SUCKS.
We could have been in this game with a chance to win in the 4th Quarter.
Instead, we have this shit.
Tolerating bad coaching, bad tone at the top, and coaches who have no guts is not something I will do.
Reid needs to go on medical leave.
Addazio - have a nice evening you sorry Roach! You are gone, but we know you'll take the money you are going to split with Brad effing Bates.
Just get out of town. You really and truly suck. You have let down your team - every one of them.
When you let the clock run out in the first half, the football world knew that you have NO BALLS. You are an ASSHOLE. And you set the stage for a rout, because you sent a message to your team that you didn't want to win.
Best way to judge coaching prowess and ability is second half points for and against and W/L record when losing at the half. Anyone can get a team ready with a week to prepare. Real coaches are those that can take what happened in the 1H and in only 20 minutes during halftime put together a revised game plan with the necessary adjustments needed to win the game. The Dax's second half record is literally historically awful. Five years of this is maddening. He must go!!!
Will leahy allow him to? I don't care if he has fresh fruit , fresh princce of belaire, of a fresh man qb dazziani is inept and must go. Take the 9 or whatever million and go
OK ND - pile it on or not. It doesn't make any difference except to the players who will remain after the stiff Addazio is fired! And they will be pissed.
Not to be an ass and get overly technical, but clearly Brown has a big arm, but he throws with his chin up. It's why he's always high with his throws. Anyone who has ever pitched or played QB knows the arm follows the chin. Simple coaching adjustment, tuck your chin, but he won't get it from this staff.
BC needs better players. Can't get better players with this coach. Waving the white flag before halftime was one of the most egregious displays of cowardice I've ever seen by a football coach. My infant son could have racked up a couple first downs running against this defense today. He can't even walk. I'm disgusted more than I ever was in the Henning era, and that is really saying something.

ReplyDeleteLaughable.

ReplyDeleteEagleboston, is this for real? I can't even put into words how terrible I feel after reading your post. I am incredibly sorry for your loss.
ReplyDeleteIf there is anything any of us can do, please let us know. We are here for you.
@eagleboston: With prayers. Please forgive them, for they know not what they do.

ReplyDeleteJust get though the next little bit.
Oh my.......
BJK
And so I just finished my golf tournament and I beat a guy half my age. He's 36 and I'm 71.
ReplyDeleteBut I missed a few putts and my twosome lost our flight. And I was disappointed.
And I have been disappointed in BC Football. Big deal. Because then you hear something like this.
So excuse my language. Fuck Notre Dame. We are not afraid of them.
We are Eagleboston today and we are proud and confident and if you sleep on us will will definitely roll your ass.
Eff you, Notre Dame. Here comes Boston!
EB-- my payers are with you and your family.
ReplyDeleteNIU is up on Nebraska in Lincoln late in the 4th. Trying to make BC's win look a tad better.
EagleBoston:
ReplyDeleteSorry for your loss.
Eagleboston sorry for your loss.
ReplyDeleteEagleBoston, just devastating. I can't imagine what you are experiencing. All my sympathy, my friend.
ReplyDeleteThanks for all of the thoughts. This was his 5th attempt so we have been through hell for a number of years. Coming on this blog was always a fun diversion. ReplyDeleteSo sorry, EagleBoston...
ReplyDeleteLots of mistakes on that first series.
ReplyDeleteHaving said all that, the next 3 hours are about BC. Go Eagles! Let's get the upset!
ReplyDelete3rd and 9 and you run an 8 yard out. Daztastic!
ReplyDeleteGood coverage by Moore.
ReplyDeleteShort field...let's please get points of any kind
ReplyDeleteTwo false starts. Ugh. Cleaning things up is a big part of the offensive problem.
ReplyDeleteHuge play by Calinan.
ReplyDeleteOk. Decent start. Still sloppy but a lead is a lead.
ReplyDeleteIt blows me away that we are perfect in the kicking game.
ReplyDeleteDon't jinx us Edmonds.
ReplyDeleteI know. I'm sorry. But this is the same kid that lost us the game in Dublin last year?
DeleteThat is where we miss our LBs.
ReplyDeleteWell that was fast
ReplyDeleteNice pick by the ref
ReplyDeleteThe 2 households behind me are ND grads so I need a win for bragging rights. It's been a long time since we have defeated the Domers.
ReplyDeleteNumber 5 tried to arm tackle on that long run.
Eff em. Strachan is out - we can adjust and still do this.
ReplyDeleteAddazio punting from here is cowardly. He still hasn't learned anything.
ReplyDeleteGood 1st down then Hillman twice up the middle. Are our coaches throwing these games? I'm not kidding. These guys have to be shi€€ing me. You can't make it up
ReplyDeleteThe old Dana Bible offense
DeleteThat's a catch.
ReplyDeleteNIU beat Nebraska in Lincoln!
ReplyDeleteDid Strachan get hurt last week or early in the game today?
ReplyDeleteThat was a good series.
ReplyDeleteI guess last week.
ReplyDeleteThat's two false starts on Sweeney.
ReplyDeleteRun...run...pass. Here comes the punt.
ReplyDeleteTextbook Dana Bible.
That was terrible. Sloppy and a bad, bad throw from Brown.
ReplyDeleteWhy was Landry getting a rest in the second series of the game? Shocked that the QB ran right past Landry's backup for the TD.
ReplyDeletePunt of what? 35 yards?
ReplyDeleteND is an conservative as BC.
ReplyDeleteOh boy - lucky.
ReplyDeleteIn first quarter, 3 punts, 3 motion penalties, 2 fumbles. BC football, catch the fever!
ReplyDeleteAs usual you are incorrect TGS. Another 0 contribution. Keep trying tool.
ReplyDeleteRecovered by Nolan Borgerson - NJ POY a couple of years ago.
ReplyDeleteLet's go Addazio - figure this out!
We're counting on it, you overpaid SOB.
ND should have watched game film and realized they could press BC. It they maintain this conservative approach BC should be able to stay in the game and avoid a blow out. Throw in a couple of ND turnovers and anything could happen.
ReplyDeleteThe OLine looks much better this week.
ReplyDeleteTOUCHDOWN
ReplyDeleteCallinan came to play today.
ReplyDeleteKhead, it is so fun ruining you. Such a lightweight.
ReplyDeleteI have been waiting for Callinan to break out - he has the size and ability.
ReplyDeleteGo BC - beat these guys.
The read option gives us fits.
ReplyDeleteAllen looks a little slow this year.
ReplyDeleteHey TGS - we are all Eagleboston one today.
ReplyDeleteGo BC - beat Notre Dame. Eff em.
Nice stop by the D.
ReplyDeleteOnce again the OL looks so improved.
ReplyDeleteA good stop here would be nice. #2?
ReplyDeleteThis is fun. Now let's get points before half. They get the 2nd half kick
ReplyDeleteLet's go BC - punch in some points by halftime.
ReplyDelete7 would be great. You can do it.
Too bad- good try.
ReplyDeleteHold these a$$holes.
ReplyDeleteThat's on Reid.
ReplyDeleteSuffice to say, the BC defense is a sad, pathetic shell of its old self.
ReplyDeleteDefense was not set. Bad coaching - bad signals, etc.
ReplyDeleteHe's down. Should be 3rd and goal at the 1.
ReplyDelete2 big plays. So annoying.
ReplyDeleteAlright Loeffler. 2 minute offense. Let's see what you've got.
Let's go BC players - you can win this game in spite of the coaches.
ReplyDeleteI am sick of Addazio not having the right receivers in the line up. You know, receivers who can catch the ball in traffic.
ReplyDeleteAddazio - you suck.
How can they drop so many balls and commit so many procedure penalties? ND is trying to give them the game.
ReplyDeleteAddazio you suck.
ReplyDeleteI'll say it again - Addazio you suck.
ReplyDeleteOk the players have time for something.
ReplyDeleteWhat a piece of shit Daz.
ReplyDeleteFire Addazio at halftime. What an asshole.
ReplyDeleteWhy no hail Mary to the endzone? Coward. He is his own worst enemy.
ReplyDeleteAre you seriously fucking kidding me? What a freaking coward.
ReplyDeleteOkay. That's it. Dazoshit MUST GO!
ReplyDeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeleteThey still had 7 seconds left for a 10 yard pass and FG attempt. With another timeout!
ReplyDeleteare you fucking shitting me?
ReplyDeleteDoes he know he has 1 win ever when losing at halftime. What a colossal tool.
ReplyDeleteAddazio is a wuss
ReplyDeleteWe are young. We are hurt. Blah blah blah. He sets himself up to lose.
ReplyDelete"Resting" Landry on both TDs and wasting two timeouts on the ND side of the field to end the half. WOW.
ReplyDeleteSorry following on gamecast. Did he just run the clock out on purpose or was this a clock management issue?? Either way how you only run 2 plays and no hailmary???!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm at the stadium - the attitude was incredulous as addazio didn't call that timeout. It's honestly embarrassing.
ReplyDeleteCan we start an online petition demanding this incompetent clown be fired today? You must play aggressively against better teams. That's football 101.
ReplyDeletethe expression "one awe sh-t wipes out a thousand atta boys" applies to what Daz just did--playing great ball all around and he doesn't try something--mind boggling. With that being said Kudos to the offensive line,Brown and coaching. let's hope it continues in the second half

Looks great doesn't it
DeleteHalftime thoughts: We are in this game. The players have more passion than I have seen all season. Penalties are a killer. Why did we not do a Hail Flutie as time was running out. Your only risk is an interception and a 99 yard return. Possible, but not likely.
ReplyDeleteThis has been a great distraction.
I'm still in shock. I know we shouldn't expect much from Daz, but that is incredible indifference.
ReplyDeleteI'm very encouraged by the young talent but if daz is manning the sidelines 8 wins is the ceiling. I fell in love with Bc in the early 2000s and the ever to excel motto. We were so close to conference championships and that seems impossible now.
ReplyDeleteHow Landry is being used is totally mind boggling. Then to have comments say that both ND tds went right over his backup. The only thing that I can figure is that they are saving him for the Senior Prom.
ReplyDeleteKudos to autocorrect for the changing daz to daze because the dud coaches like he in a daze
ReplyDeleteFUMBLEEEE
ReplyDeleteSurprised Daz didn't take a knee here
ReplyDeleteThese false starts are crazy
ReplyDeleteI think the Daz must have compromising pictures of Leahy, has friends on the BOT, or is truly dilusional.
ReplyDeleteHe coaches as if has a great resume and is untouchable, when in fact the opposite is the case.
That said, ND talent level is down this year and BC could actually win this game.
Great sequence by the D. Great return by Walker. Nice catch by Kobay. Let's roll boys.
ReplyDeleteI do think the bootlegs, and play action on first downs have been keeping Norte dame's d-line on its heels.
ReplyDeleteI want Addazio fired today.
ReplyDeleteYou go for it on 4th and 1 and that's your play?
ReplyDeleteGood game call. Bad play call. Takes too long to develop.
ReplyDeleteThe decision to go for it was ok. Terrible play call though.
ReplyDeleteThat last play was so bad and so expected. Ugh!
ReplyDeleteDoes Walker know the stick on the sideline is the first down marker? He Constantly runs third down patterns one yard short.
ReplyDeleteIf I were ND I would just zone read option us to death.
ReplyDeleteIf you are going to go for it, Loeffler and Addazio, then do so.
ReplyDeleteYou run what everyone in the stadium knows is coming - you suck,
Just run it down BC's throat. Can't stop the power runs. The play calling from both teams is mind boggling.
ReplyDeleteI despise our coach!
ReplyDeleteLandry is either hurt or vastly overrated.
ReplyDeleteHis lack of containment led to that long run by QB. No show in a big game.
Prediction bc scores td then goes for two gets stuffed on a dive play up the gut.
ReplyDeleteI remember watching us get 8 plays at the 1 against FSU in our inaugural ACC game as a freshman. Up the middle 8 times in a row. Was insane.
DeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
DeleteBC could use the 3 points if passed up at the end of the half and the 3 they just blew now.
ReplyDelete3 big plays. All ND has had all day. All have led to touchdowns.
ReplyDeleteSo frustrating.
Wimbush is trash man. This is frustrating. We shutdown much better nd offenses.
DeleteWe had a kid from NJ a couple of years ago - I'll remember his name in a bit - he never got to the first down marker. NEVER!
ReplyDeleteBut the coaches always had him in on 3rd down.
I can't tell you how pissed I am.
I really like Walker, bur he never gets to the first dowm marker.
Give someone else a cjance, coach - you stiff.
I'll say it again. Addazio - you're time has come and gone. You, sir, SUCK.
You are stealing money from us.
Feels like this game is over. I don't see us responding and stopping ND's running game.
ReplyDeleteWhere is Jeff Smith today?
ReplyDeleteNo way Dillon goes 240. Barely moves the line. If he's that big then Khead has an average IQ. No chance on either.
ReplyDeleteAnd now it starts to get away from us...
ReplyDeleteWay too easy for Irish now.
ReplyDeleteThe wheels have officially come off the bus. I hope they lose by 30 now.
ReplyDeleteGee, the Daz getting his ass out coached in second half. Shocking. Zero adjustments. Bunch by Kelly.
ReplyDeleteFeels like a little more desperation - which we didn't need. we were right in this game.
ReplyDeleteOkay players - tighten up. Win it for yourselves.
1st down incomplete. 2nd down up the middle - belly series. You suck, coach.
What happened to our run D?
Time for Reid to go on leave.
You set your players up for this, Addazio. You SUCK.
Breaking down in every way in the late third quarter. Online can't get 1 for second week in a row
ReplyDeleteThis is an average ND team that was 4-8 last year and will struggle to win 8 this year, but they will probably end up winning today by 20.
ReplyDeleteShithead set the tone for 2H by playing like a pussy at end of half.
And the blowout begins.
ReplyDeleteWalker's returns have been a bright point
ReplyDeleteO Line couldn't get it - but then again everyone - EVERYONE - knew what was coming. That's on Loeffler and Addazio and both should be fired tonight.
ReplyDeleteBTW - Addazio is so inept, it's a breach of contract.
We owe him nothing.
Daz rests landry during the game but plays him on XP plays? Why?
ReplyDeleteSeems like those gimmes would be good spots to rest him
ReplyDeleteKnoll is punting well. So there's that.
ReplyDeleteTGS is 100% correct.
ReplyDeleteAddazio - you are a sorry individual, a sorry coach and a stiff.
Please go home.
Screw.
At the risk of being melodramatic, is Daz the worse coach in the history of BC football? It's a rhetorical question.
ReplyDeleteMcGlinchy would be at BC if not for Spaz.
ReplyDeleteGeorgia: all things considered, I think Spaz was worse than Daz.
ReplyDelete1 more TD would be good for ND.
ReplyDeleteFor the second week in a row the quarterback is unstopped. And our offense is inept
ReplyDeleteMaking Wimbush look like Vick
ReplyDeleteAddazio did not use Landry more to save him for the 4th quarter. And then Landry misses the tackle.
ReplyDeleteGood night.
ReplyDeleteJarmond do your job and fire this asshat NOW
ReplyDeleteLittle things are killings us. The drops, presnAp penalties, runnibg routes shorty of the sticks, keeping contain on a qb who can't pass and ouch Landry wtfffff
ReplyDeleteLandry screwed himself coming back. Draft stock looks like it will tumble.
ReplyDeleteWimbush is so bad this hurts
ReplyDeleteI apologize to everyone, and please pardon my language. This is my 50th anniversary year - Class of 1968. I have been a BC Football fan since I was 15 years old = 56 years.
ReplyDeleteAddazio SUCKS.

File out, you effing moron!!!!
Kobay White is a G.
ReplyDeleteMost yards allowed by BC in a game? At over 400 rushing, 500 total. They could fire everyone tonight and possibly improve. Can't get worse.
ReplyDeleteDB was the only pulse in this program. Dead now.
Even Griese is saying Addazio should have done something before half.
ReplyDeleteBest way to judge coaching prowess and ability is second half points for and against and W/L record when losing at the half. Anyone can get a team ready with a week to prepare. Real coaches are those that can take what happened in the 1H and in only 20 minutes during halftime put together a revised game plan with the necessary adjustments needed to win the game.
ReplyDeleteThe Dax's second half record is literally historically awful. Five years of this is maddening. He must go!!!
Jeff Smith...terrible today.
ReplyDeletePlease, please fire this mother*****r. Absolutely inept. Year 5 of this embarrassment. Shame on the school admin and BOT.
ReplyDeleteIf daz is fired and we get a legit offensive coach brown will be a top 5 bc an all time. Hot take of the day
ReplyDeleteThat's a catch.
ReplyDeleteWowwwww nfl that's def not
DeleteBravesbill is right. Landry's agent must be kicking himself. Cost him and the kid a lot of money coming back.
ReplyDeleteQb of all time *
ReplyDeleteClose enough isn't enough
ReplyDeleteWtf did bates extend this bum. "Be a dud" we all know the dude coaches in Ann Arbor.
ReplyDeleteSmith and Walker - let's drop some more passes.
ReplyDeleteI don't blame the players, but the coaches.Put the right players in during the right right circumstances.
Put in Glines and Borgersen and Thad Smith and Elijah Robinson, and Garrison and a bunch of other guys - Troy Flutie - and CALLINAN.
But sit the players who can't catch down on the bench. Addazio - You are a stiff.
Has daz ever done a fake or trick play. Running a dive on 4th and 1 is as innovative as he gets.
ReplyDeleteHow I miss Don Brown
ReplyDeleteIf we took a vote on this blog, there would be only one vote NOT to fire the Daz immediately. The Khead. Nuff said.
ReplyDeleteRun it up the middle, you stiff.
ReplyDeleteBrown has been much better this week.
ReplyDeleteWhen's the last time we gave up 450+ rush yards?
ReplyDeleteCan Hilliman redshirt again? This has been bad.
ReplyDeleteHilliman. Fumble. Was having such a good day as well. Wheels. Off.
ReplyDeleteYes let's run the ball with 7 minutes left, down by 2 tds. Brilliant!
ReplyDeleteWho is the oc from the jags era can't think of it right now but if daz has him and brown as coach would he still f it up
ReplyDeleteThese players are not fit for Big Five competition. Thanks Addazio for filling the roster with MAC players.
ReplyDeleteJazzy
ReplyDeleteSteve Logan
Thanks man he was the best oc in my time as bc fan. How do we find all these coaches who run 3 straight runs and punt it away?
DeleteOur defense is really falling to the level of laughing stock. WTF!
ReplyDeleteNo LB play, I guess.
Once the ND runners get past the line, they have clear sailing.
Thanks for keeping out LB inventory well stocked, Addazio - you stiff.
This is not only a laughing stock - it's a disgrace.
Fire Addazio tonight.
Clemson, VT, Louisville, FSU, - bring em on.
ReplyDeleteSyracuse will beat us again, if not kill us.
Addazio - YEAR 5!!!!!!
Get the Eff out.
Now it is just falling apart. The score is not going to reflect the difference in the two teams. But it will be another indictment of Addazio.
ReplyDeleteJarmond do your job. Fire Addazio NOW.
ReplyDeleteWill leahy allow him to? I don't care if he has fresh fruit , fresh princce of belaire, of a fresh man qb dazziani is inept and must go. Take the 9 or whatever million and go
DeleteOK ND - pile it on or not. It doesn't make any difference except to the players who will remain after the stiff Addazio is fired! And they will be pissed.
ReplyDeleteBut their HC has NO BALLS.
Hopefully tonight.

Is that jarmonds official email? If so im gonna try and help him keep his job
DeleteThank God we don't play Georgia Tech this year... they might get 1,000 yards on the ground against this D.
ReplyDeleteI'd like to see our run vs. pass playcalling on first and second down. Seemed like a lot of RRPP.

ND is lucky we're not playing them with a different Head Coach.
ReplyDeleteThey just threw a ball into the endzone - again - up 42 to 20. Kelly SUCKS too.
You're players quit and you let fucking Brian Kelly roll it up on you.
Addazio - YOU SUCK and I hope you are fired tonight.
Fire Daz.

Wade in there to do what? Give Brown more reps. Are you worried about injuries?
