In-game comments post: Louisville

Clemson pulled off an upset Friday night. Iowa State pulled off a huge upset last week. Why not us? Why not now? Let's go BC!

  1. Good interview with Jarmond in the Globe online today.

  2. You know why not us. Three letters: D A Z

  3. Lol. Love it, Unknown.

  4. 3 minutes until game time and I don't think they've mentioned BC once. And then this happened.

"We saw a big upset last night with Syracuse taking down Clemson, will we see another one today? We just might! Georgia Tech is taking on Miami at 3:30, could be a chance for an upset. Sooo now let's head out to Louisville who is taking on.....The Boston Golden Eagles".

  5. Anyone catch that cheerleader upskirt shot after the extra point? Highlight of the game! #lonely

    ReplyDelete
  6. we all know that in all probability louisville will crush BC and hopefully this will lead to the eventual release of addazio. Because i have accepted the fact that BC is not up to beating most teams they play i watch as an alum and hope for the best. these things go in cycles and maybe Jarmond will begin the winning cycle

  7. Pass with success on first play of the game? Then it's time for a -4 yard run, after which you obviously run on 2nd and 14, followed by incomplete. Asinine. Play to keep it within forty Addazio! Do us proud!

  8. Not a sore sport, and Louisville would score anyway - but Calling that a TD is complete BS.

I don't care what the rule is, the TE was clearly out of bounds, and touched the pylon from the IB side - and his hand may have hit the white chalk first.

Anyway, the rule should be that half your body with the ball must reach INTO the end zone.

    ReplyDelete
  9. I'm just perplexed. They have great success and huge yardage on a couple pass plays, then they go to Hilliman (not Dillon) for negative yards. Addazio's excuse is that Dillon is not used to running from a shotgun formation. Well, then give him some carries to get experience! How hard is that? Addazio is just flat out in over his head.

    ReplyDelete
  10. Oh well - here we go.

    ReplyDelete
  11. GET RID OF OUR GARBAGE. HE IS TOTALLY BEFOULING 'THE HEIGHTS."

HE should be paying BC for GROSS INCOMPETENCE.

    ReplyDelete
  12. Amazing what a team can do playing college football - playing to score. Playing to win.

Where has 18 been for 3 years? Ask Addazio.

Good job by the entire team on that drive.

    ReplyDelete
  13. Oh well - we tried. But I think AB could have run for the first down.

It's okay for now - spread the field.

    Go BC.

    ReplyDelete
  14. Let's see some offense here, Loeffler.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Unreal - but why did I think it would be any different, Loeffler.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Guess I'll stop talking to myself.

BC, we are pretty low when there are no in game comments.

    There's no one here. 🙂

    ReplyDelete
  17. Come on Jeff Smith.

    ReplyDelete
  18. John, let's face it - there's just no hope now. I can't imagine anyone thinking we'll make a comeback here. We're likely headed for our second 3-9 season in 3 years. The 7-6 season in between was a mirage with cupcakes padding the record and suffering 3 of our 10 worst defeats in just one season. Year 5 in the Daz era and nothing but regression. Hope begins with Daz getting canned within 24 hours of our last game. Or sooner.

    ReplyDelete
  19. It would be great to get 7 here.

    ReplyDelete
  20. This has been a man's drive, said the commentator.

AB scramble was great and opened it up for Dillon.

    ReplyDelete
  21. And Walker punt return.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Great job o But who called that timeout and whyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy

    ReplyDelete
  23. Good half

team is competitive and certainly improving.

    Will we win? It's possible!

    ReplyDelete
  24. Alright. Who are these guys and what have they dine with the BC football team?

    ReplyDelete
  25. Leaving points off the board is a killer. I did not like that 2nd down call. It put them at 3rd and long, resulting in the field goal attempt.

    ReplyDelete
  26. FF kicker 1 of his last 6, according to the announcer.

It really hurts that this has been such a pitiful problem under Addazio.

    Wake up, Coach.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Wade in - AB hurt and gone to locker room.

    ReplyDelete
  28. We have tight ends on scholarship? Who knew?

    ReplyDelete
  29. We are seeing the best BC football in years. Will it continue?

    ReplyDelete
  30. QB controversy!

    Just kidding. I think.

    ReplyDelete
  31. is this BC-----keep wade in while he's hot-----my god they look like a real team

    ReplyDelete
  32. That drive was an Addazio wet dream

3-5 yard dives with play action passes to the tight ends

    ReplyDelete
  33. That was a great drive! Keep in mind, it was all driven by the gutsy call to go for it on 4th and 1 at the 48 AND to call a passing play.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Linebacker #28 look like a real deal add him to the list of young ballers we got. Dillon is a hammer. Where has this team been?

    ReplyDelete
  35. Sometimes it’s not the tools but the person using them

    ReplyDelete
  36. Ok - tighten up the D.

Been posting as John from my phone until now.

    ReplyDelete
  37. What a pleasure to see BC playing good football.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Wow - punch this in, BC - don't care how.

That pass to Hilliman is effective because Wade is a lefty.

GO BC - this is what we have been hoping for - for the oaches to give them a game plan to win.

Play to win the game, Addazio!!!!

    Your players deserve it.

    ReplyDelete
  39. This is almost exciting. Wade sees the field and defense better. Dillon explodes into the crease like he's trying to win a Woody! Defense looks great since they aren't on the field 75% of the time.

    ReplyDelete
  40. FB #47 leading the runner Dillon with a nice block - a newer wrinkle today?

Not up the middle - I love it!!!

    Go BC.

    You players deserve this.

Coaches - keep playing to win. Keep playing to win! Keep playing to win!!!

    ReplyDelete
  41. Daz saving his job for another year!

    ReplyDelete
  42. #47 Colton Cardinal, Franklin, MA - and Dillon ran into the endzone from the 11 yard line untouched!!!

    ReplyDelete
  43. Yiadom fell down. Ugghhh

    ReplyDelete
  44. Don't lose confidence, BC.

    Keep dominating their Defense.

    You can do it.

    ReplyDelete
  45. In Boston seeing on broadcast ton of mellow mushroom pizza ads.

Is that a southern thang?? Never heard of it

    ReplyDelete
  46. We finally get an offense and now we don't have a D. If we ever get the 2 units clicking at the same time, BC will be an ACC contender.

    ReplyDelete
  47. The most critical drive of the game is right here.

    ReplyDelete
  48. Oh my 75 yard TD.

    10 second drive

    ReplyDelete
  49. Dillon took the "drive" out of the equation... unless you count what he did to #22.

    ReplyDelete
  50. Wow. That was Andre Williams esque.

    ReplyDelete
  51. Holy @#$% This has been one crazy weekend in college football and the late afternoon games haven't even started! Finish 'em off, guys!

    ReplyDelete
  52. D needs energy boost

    ReplyDelete
  53. Omggggggggggggg that was crazy!!!!!!!! Monster run and I didn't think he had those wheels.

    ReplyDelete
  54. #8 Harris is hurting. Hope it's not too serious.

    ReplyDelete
  55. Great contain on that pocket.

    ReplyDelete
  56. Dillon is one of the fastest on our team and to be that big and strong - amazing!!!

    ReplyDelete
  57. If I'm Petrino I just run Jackson.

    ReplyDelete
  58. ACC officials, YOU HAVE to throw a flag on the BC DB at the BC 10 when Louisville is down 14 in the 4th quarter.

    ReplyDelete
  59. Jackson is unreal.

Let's keep scoring and it won't matter.

    ReplyDelete
  60. Maybe... put a guy on Jackson? It's not like you are blitzing...

    ReplyDelete
  61. In all seriousness - this is where the offense has to really "man-up". As great as they have played, we have to keep it up.

Go BC - you can do this!!!

    ReplyDelete
  62. I don't think 42 points is gonna be enough.

    ReplyDelete
  63. If a win today saves the coach’s job it’s a case of winning the battle and losing the war. Did you notice the unbelievable poor clock management at the end of the half calling two timeouts with about a minute left? Instead of scoring and leaving Louisville with 10 seconds he left them with 51. It got lost because Louisville didn’t score but we have seen these blunders consistently for five years. I hope they win for the kids sake but it will be a shame if one win brings the coach back. And he might yet snatch defeat from the jaws of victory in this game

    ReplyDelete
  64. How he misssssss that throw??????

    ReplyDelete
  65. This Dillon reminds me so much of Corey Dillon who played in the NFL including with the apatriots. A real stud and future pro. Wade has done well today but the other kid is your best bet

    ReplyDelete
  66. That would have been a TD.

That's two wide opens we have missed today.

Bad time for Wade to show his inacurracy.

    ReplyDelete
  67. Just like you can't allow Louisville to beat BC, there's no way Syracuse should have ended up anywhere near Clemson on the scoreboard. If I'm on the ACC Board of Directors, I'm ash-canning John Swofford as Commissioner. You cannot, CANNOT, allow Clemson to lose on the road at Syracuse. You just can't let that happen.

Your game officials MUST step in and fix the game. Start calling holding on Syracuse OL's (easy to do). Take any opportunity to call pass interference on the 'Cuse DBs. Do whatever you need to do to make sure your undefeated 2nd-ranked national championship candidate survives its schedule.

Would the SEC let this happen to 'Bama? Would the Pac-10 allow this to happen to Oregon in its prime?

    No and no.

    ReplyDelete
  68. OK BC - somebody make a play.

    ReplyDelete
  69. I would put the other QB back in now

    ReplyDelete
  70. Wow. Ok, BC. Now we can go on the final 5 minute drive and win the game.

Don't forget the missed FG and two wide open TD passes that were overthrown.

Let's go, BC - you can do this.

Stuff em now - right now!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  71. The decision not to rush Jackson is wearing this secondary out.

    ReplyDelete
  72. Slow down. Take time off the clock on this drive. Use your head

    ReplyDelete
  73. Dillon. Wow. He might save Addazio's job.

    ReplyDelete
  74. You've done more than enough, Coach Addazio, to keep your job. You have competed and won the majority of the minutes today. Now it's time to think of the ACC's greater good.

Dillon doesn't belong anywhere on the field. Sit Dillon down for some trumped-up disciplinary reason. If you handle it right, you can use our implicit racism to get people to think he's just another beast who can't behave himself. Then you'll have people contacting Jarmond and the Board of Directors to tell them that a coach who thinks toward the long-term, who loves the University and the kids so much that he'll give "tough love", is a coach BC wants and needs on the sideline to build something beautiful.

With this game today, 3-9 should be more than enough to save your job.

    ReplyDelete
  75. There you go, Field Judge. Let the Louisville guy climb all over the receiver's back on third down before the ball arrives. Well-done!!!

    ReplyDelete
  76. I think we know how this will end.

    ReplyDelete
  77. Should we have gone for the first down? I thought so.

    ReplyDelete
  78. Addazio is scaring me to death.

    ReplyDelete
  79. I hate Addazio playing for just the field goal here. Does he trust CL?

    ReplyDelete
  80. dillon coming out party is a smash success.

    ReplyDelete
  81. Lichtenberg can redeem himself.

    ReplyDelete
  82. FIRE THE GAME OFFICIALS. How do you allow BC a chance to win? You cannot, CANNOT, fail to blow the whistle there. You think Lamar's got this, and start spectating, and then you can't plausibly blow a whistle to save Louisville.

And THEN you give BC the ball after the scrum??? And replay doesn't overturn!!????

What is wrong with you people!!!??? Swofford, where are you!!??? David Stern would never allow this to stand!!!!?????

    ReplyDelete
  83. I don't know why Addazio didn't run 18 more second off the clock before calling his timeout.

    ReplyDelete
  84. "Not sure why they would run that."

    ReplyDelete
  85. Seriously? Not centering the kick after Lichtenberg missed one from the left hash?

    ReplyDelete
  86. Does CL like it on the left hash?

    ReplyDelete
  87. I'm thrilled for CL and BC.

    ReplyDelete
  88. well done all around!

    ReplyDelete
  89. Daz saves his job for another year. Yay!

    ReplyDelete
  90. Addazio did well today - I have to give it to him and his staff.

    Go BC.

    ReplyDelete
  91. Wow. That was awesome.

Great playing BC Eagles. Players and coaches.

    ReplyDelete
  92. The argument is over. Sigh!

    ReplyDelete
  93. Did you see poor Bobby Petrino having to walk across the field with that steak tartare face of his? He's done so much for the football community. Built an amazing program at Arkansas. Laid the foundation and built the house that took Atlanta to within a minute of winning the Super Bowl--and would have won it if he didn't feel the call to come to Louisville.

He's been through so much. First he loses the love of his life, Jessica, after the fake news media assassinates his character in the wake of a silly motorcycle accident. Now this.

    ReplyDelete
  94. Wow! I prayed to my son who passed away last month to help BC win right before the fumble. Probably just a conincidnece but I’m really happy right now!!

    ReplyDelete
  95. The guys haven't quit. The program needed that. I think.

How about letting Dillon play RB? Looks like UM screwed the pooch on that one. What a monster. That 75 yd run is going viral after tossing that DB.

    ReplyDelete
  96. Thank you eagleboston.

I can't wait to read the box score statistics for this game.

We're all talking about Dillon, of course - but Hilliman played well and many others.

The Offensive line played quite well. This is nice, BC.

    Way to go.

The game plan to contain Jackson kind of fizzled - but the guy is very, very good!!!

As I said, as long as we kept scoring, who cared about his statistics? :-)

    ReplyDelete
  97. Big Jack, reminds me of the Flutie-Kosar game in ‘84. I’m going to have to replay this one.

    ReplyDelete
  98. And how about that Louisville late fumble, recovered by BC.

That stuff usually would happen to us, not them.

Some things went our way today, that offset the things that didn't.

Go BC. We won the game "fair and square".

    ReplyDelete
  99. @ObserverCollege - Comparing the loss of someone's wife to a football game ? And you'd rather see a team get help from the refs than see real competition ? You are a clown.

    ReplyDelete
  100. Big win for the program. But I don't think this saves Daz's job, he needs to get at least a couple more ACC wins, plus UConn. 6 wins probably gets him another year.

Though wouldn't be surprised to see Jurmond move on even with 6 wins. Timing is good, with a young stud at RB and QB's playing better than last year.

    ReplyDelete
  101. Jessica was Petrino's 27 year old mistress (who he had on the Arkansas payroll [probably a no show job too]for $75K) and she wasn't killed. Just had to go Bye bye after that fiasco.

    OC is 100% satire.

    ReplyDelete
  102. Yes - look up Bobby Petrino motorcycle accident - the one that got him fired from Arkansas.

Jessica was his mistress, who thought she'd get a real job. :-)

He 51 at the time; she 25.

    ReplyDelete
  103. Good job by the players. Win and lose it is mostly on them. Not much to complain about Daz. It is all about results. This was good but they still need 3 or 4 more wins to save Daz's job. I don't think it will happen but if it does then great. I still see 5-7 as the end point but now there is a little more hope.

    ReplyDelete
  104. Great win...all wins should be celebrated. This is ridiculous that some are upset that this win saves Addazios job. If you blame him for everything bad that happens, you also have to give him credit for this win. Best road win in many years. Be happy for a few days

    ReplyDelete
  105. Good job BC players.

Also: For people who still don’t know: ObserverCollege is a joke account. Has been for years.

    ReplyDelete
  106. That rule should be changed
