  1. Looks like perfect football weather.

  2. I posted this on another thread. I just flew up from Atlanta and talked fifteen relatives and their friends into coming with me and pulling for BC. We’re at Maryanne’s. Where are the BC fans?

  4. Hope springs eternal within the human breast. As that noted philosopher Joaquin Andujahr of the baseball Cardinals once remarked, "ya never know".

  5. My son and his fiancée work for the Iowa State football team. They beat OU on the road with a 3rd string quarterback, despite being 31 point underdogs. Thus, BC has a shot tonight, no matter the offs. The difference is I really believe Matt Campbell is the best young coach in America while Addazio......well.

    ReplyDelete
  6. No matter the odds. I hate Apple spell check

    ReplyDelete
  7. Here we go. Best part of game day is waiting with bated breath for dickhead, a.k.a. knuckleheads, latest missive. Will it be his old standby that "Jarman won't fire Daz without Leahy's permission?" Such an original comment. Thanks for letting us know that the AD will need the president's permission before filing the coach. Cutting edge stuff dickhead. Maybe it will be his old stand by, it's the players fault, not Daz.
Or will it be that another player on BC has revolutionized the sport of football the way he claims the BC punter has.
Or will he state leaving your star running back in the game up 20 with a minute left is a great idea, only to later say BC will win if Dillon plays, but lose by 25 without him.
Truly the dumbest person ever to post on this board. Angry and dumb is a sorrowful combo Khead.

  8. I think our "up the middle" approach will prevent us from scoring many points.

We're going to do it until teams respect us, though. We are BC, after all.

    ReplyDelete
  9. Same old bullshit. Our receivers can't catch, our kicker can't make an easy field goal. Why do I
    I keep torturing myself??

    ReplyDelete
  10. Sweeney should have caught that TD pass. But then we run for a couple and get an incompletion on a unimaginative pass route that hasn't worked all year.

    Way to blow a turnover.

We have missed the last 3 FGs I have watched.

The commentator said you can't blame the crowd, because they are quiet.

    Unreal.

    ReplyDelete
  11. CL seems to have lost his mojo on the field goals. And of course that led right to a quick score.

    ReplyDelete
  12. That's it. I've had it. Turning the channel to watch michagen. Boycotting bc and the NFL ( I'm a veteran).

    ReplyDelete
  13. Wish we could catch a ball.

    ReplyDelete
  14. That was a better drive. 7 would have been nice, but I am glad they answered.

    ReplyDelete
  15. STD, you getting your weekly alotment of online time from the prison library? It is terrible to have to address you but your complete lack of football knowledge , lack of contribution here and considerable time trying match my contributions are noted. Again. Douchebag.

It is great the way you address the board like people here are your friends.

    Loser.

    ReplyDelete
  16. We need to be careful here, Loeffler. How about 32 up the middle? They won't be expecting that.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Once again we need points.

    ReplyDelete
  18. One thing I am happy with is we have passed more downfield.

    ReplyDelete

  20. That little dump off is Addazio giving up on a possession again. Might as well punt on 3rd down.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Play for field position. Good strategy.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Nice blocking on that punt.

    ReplyDelete
  23. ATL, your incessant optimism is really getting annoying.

    ReplyDelete
  24. watching Michigan and Don Brown's Defense, during TOs.

    Boy do we miss him.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Unfortunately, he was down.

    ReplyDelete
  26. More terrible tackling.

    ReplyDelete
  27. That QB is overrated. That TD pass earlier was 1:1million. He just got wrecked.

    Crowd is filling in nicely.

    ReplyDelete
  28. We should be winning this game. But we are horribly coached on O. Both lines are winning their respective battles.

    ReplyDelete
  29. I think Sweeney leads the team in false starts.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Nice 3rd down play call

    ReplyDelete
  31. Addazio is playing not to lose again. That's worked so well.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Michagen-Michagen state very exciting. Real college football with first class coaches and players.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Where are the other TE's Garrison and Isiea(spelling).

    ReplyDelete
  34. At this point I would sit #89 down and tell him he's on the bench until he can catch a pass.

    False starts and dropped passes.

Let's go coach - put someone in who can catch the ball. We have several tight ends who can do that. Right now, it's not #89, as he has proven over and over again.

    ReplyDelete
  35. VT is running the old Dana Bible slant in offense tonight.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Jackson is messed up. Allen is going to break him.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Does anyone think we can overcome a 14 point deficit?

    ReplyDelete
  38. Brown needs to answer with a TD. He is going to have make some first downs running on his own to make it happen.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Who will join me ? Daz must go. Daz must go. Daz must go ! ATL????

    ReplyDelete
  40. If they show some backbone and get a TD on this drive, maybe.

    ReplyDelete
  41. This shouldn’t be on television

    ReplyDelete
  42. There you go. Brown running.

    ReplyDelete
  43. That call after the catch was pathetic.

    ReplyDelete
  44. This is a moment for decision.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Play calling. Fuck. Dillion?

    ReplyDelete
  46. Good. Brown is pissed. Someone needs to tell the coaches and players to get their heads out of their asses. Maybe Brown will do it.

    ReplyDelete
  47. That play was a mess. Call a timeout and make sure everyone understands what the play is? Sweeney didn't even know where to line up.

    ReplyDelete
  48. I think our guys would be a lot better with a different coaching staff, for sure.

You call a 4th down pass to a guy who can't catch it, even if it was on the money.

Where do they get these guys?

Okay if VT scores here, we're cooked.

    ReplyDelete
  49. Bletzer got lucky there. Why is he covering there anyway?

    ReplyDelete
  50. Okay - let's get some pass catchers in there. Idrizi, Burt, Marten. I think I saw Borgersen earlier.

Keep #9 White more meaningful routes.

    Haven't seen Garrison I don't think. Glines?

Someone to catch a ball - please.

    ReplyDelete
  51. Guys, guys, guys. Admit it. This team and it's coaching staff are an embarrassment. Where the hell is the outrage????

    ReplyDelete
  52. It should be 17-9. With us driving here for more. The kicker is a douche and not sure why he didn't take the three there.

    ReplyDelete
  53. Brown has shown he can run and is an iffy passer. We of course don't design a game plan to his strengths.

    ReplyDelete
  54. This game plan is a stinker. This defense is over matched.

But Addazio will make adjustments at halftime and rally the team before an empty house.

At this point we're only asking for the coaches to design an offense that gives us a chance.

    That's all we're asking.

Put in the players who can get the job done.

    ReplyDelete
  55. I really wish BC would replace the tag line in its ad from "A Jesuit, Catlolic University" to "Ever To Excel". No one benefitted more than me from BC's Jesuit background, but Inworry that when prospective students see that line, they think of BC as the Catholic version of BYU, where the Church of LDS regulates every aspect of life.

    ReplyDelete
  56. Written on my phone. I apologize for the spelling errors. No, I didn't have a stroke.

    ReplyDelete
  57. I'm just so frustrated and discouraged with our program under the last 2 coaches.

Let's go BC - show us something in the 2nd half.

    ReplyDelete
  58. I wonder how many Jesuits are actually teaching at BC these days?

My uncle was a Jesuit and I too have high regards. But I like the Ever to Excel idea, Goberry.

And I would like us to live it in athletics as well as academics.

  60. ESPn computer predicts we lose the rest of our ACC games. our best chance is vs Syracuse were the ESPN computer gives BC a 27% chance of winning.. oh boy

we are favored to beat UConn.... heavily favored... 3-9 looks like

    ReplyDelete
  61. I hope someone fell there. If not, that was a total breakdown.

    ReplyDelete
  62. As my wife says - Surely they're not going to keep Addazio for another year. The program is demolished.

    ReplyDelete
  63. Michigan doesn't look much better than BC tonight.

    ReplyDelete
  64. I would say that if we don't score on our first drive of the half, the remaining fans will file out.

What do you think of that, Mr. Jarmond?

We have too many holes on the defense, and we can't score.

What is our average in ACC games this year? 7 or 8 points per game. Pitiful.

    Firable.

    ReplyDelete
  65. Phones are legit. Can watch LSU while tailgating and Michigan get their asses handed to them at home.

Not sure why Dillion is coming off the field.

    ReplyDelete
  66. They need to roll him out on every throw going forward. Then he can run or throw. Not sure what the hell Loeffler thinks he is doing.

    ReplyDelete
  67. Mark my words. Petrula will be all ACC.

    ReplyDelete
  68. Down 20 to 3, Addazio/Loeffler call two belly series runs to start our second half.

You can't make this shit up.

Petrula is trying to block a 340 pounder - that hold/tackle was too bad.

    ReplyDelete
  69. Why is BC still on national TV? I'm so embarrassed to be associated with this disaster.

    ReplyDelete
  70. All the student section just deserted. 800 left in the 3rd. Terrible.

    ReplyDelete
  71. Yeah he is doing a good job holding that position down though. He is what I expect our line to be.

The kid from Dallas is under the radar and is going to be very good too. Hope he is ready to play as a freshman.

    ReplyDelete
  72. Ok - seriously. If we go 3 and out, I think we should just forfeit the rest of the game.

This coaching staff has no heart; no imagination; no courage and they're killing the enthusiasm of their own players.

And the fans have voted with their feet. It's embarrassing, but it is what it is, as they say.

    ReplyDelete
  73. Yeah the only people in my section are VT.

    ReplyDelete
  74. The commentators are actually being critical of Addazio.

    ReplyDelete
  75. I like Petrula - what a challenge for a young freshman.

    ReplyDelete
  76. Hope the defense can play tough through the 4 th.

    ReplyDelete
  77. I would run travis levy here. See what we have with him.

    ReplyDelete
  78. Loeffler needs to be fired tonight.

What a sorry individual he is as an offensive coordinator.

Thanks for coming, Scot. Now please just go.

    ReplyDelete
  79. God the offense is not helping the defense. Three plays in 60 seconds. Foolish, at this point.

    ReplyDelete
  80. Wonder is Loeffler bet the over.

    ReplyDelete
  81. At least we aren't Michigan they lie cheat steal and still get their asses kicked with a clown coach. They have 100k people standing there hell of high water.

    ReplyDelete
  82. Addazio would kick a FG on the 1.

    ReplyDelete
  83. This is painful.

    That pass play was hilarious.

    ReplyDelete
  84. Knoll knew it was wrong and kicked it anyway. Dazzler wasn't paying attention or he would have called TO. Presumably.

    ReplyDelete
  85. The defense is brass. The coaches are doing everything they can to ruin them.

    ReplyDelete
  86. This could be an all time low for BC offense. At least since WF beat us 3 to 0 because of Addazio.

But have we gained 10 yards all total in the second half yet?

Statistically, this has to rank as one of the worst of all time.

    Worst of all TIME.

    ReplyDelete
  87. I hate VT. I hope Jackson tears his ACL on the new turf.

    ReplyDelete
  88. Fuente looking to run it up

    ReplyDelete
  89. Landry down. Like I said. The coaches are doing everything they can to ruin the defense.

    ReplyDelete
  90. Absolute incompetence in year 5 of this train wreck. 2.5 million a year for this ineptitude.

Shame on the Board of Trustees.

    We are a punch line.

    ReplyDelete
  91. what is with the asshole Knucklehead hoping another player gets hurt... get the fuck out of here asshole

    ReplyDelete
  92. Let's try something other than the dive.

    ReplyDelete
  93. Well, Addazio has an excuse. Field position.

We couldn't do anything with our freshman.

    ReplyDelete
  94. Let's run our 240 pounder right at their 345 pounder.

    ReplyDelete
  95. jack, last year was worse 0-49

    ReplyDelete
  96. knuckle.. no kidding you are a real scum bag

    ReplyDelete
  97. Addazio seems pretty calm for a guy who can't beat good teams. Maybe he thinks he is safe.

    ReplyDelete
  98. maybe he knows he has 3 years more of guaranteed millions

    ReplyDelete
  99. Section D you are a crybaby who likes to lose.

    ReplyDelete
  100. get lost creep.....

    ReplyDelete
  101. He doesn't have a guaranteed contract. Know nothing.

    ReplyDelete
  102. You addressed me speaking of creep.

    ReplyDelete
  103. why is this stupid idiot on a bc site? go root for Umass

    ReplyDelete
  104. Ok, now we'll hopefully get the ball at the 20 or 25 and we can show our RRPP.

Seriously, have we ever been totally shut out of first downs during the second half of any game?

Addazio, are you going for the record?

    GTFOOMAM! Tribute to 74!!! :-)

    ReplyDelete
  105. ATL, still waiting for you to call for dazoshit's termination - tonight!

    ReplyDelete
  106. So, how many VT fans are looking at BC's offense thinking "Thank God, we don't have Loeffler anymore."

Why are we the frickin' land of misfit toys with coaches nobody wanted BEFORE they arrived here?

    ReplyDelete
  107. What is wrong with UMass? You are stupid idiot scumbag moron for denigrating UMass.

What a fucking genius you are.

    ReplyDelete
  108. If Addazio cares, he needs to onside it.

    ReplyDelete
  109. Why the eff didn't you do that before, Loeffler, you stupid sh!t.

    ReplyDelete
  110. Careful with what you say about Loeffler. Section D may have the same affinity for him that he does for the VT QB.

    ReplyDelete
  111. I hate the fake onsides.

    ReplyDelete
  112. . . . Sarcasm. Section D can go F himself if he hasn't already.

    ReplyDelete
  113. It could be 23-16 if lichtenstein hit his fg and Dazzler had him kicker when he should have.

    ReplyDelete
  114. The refs missed an illegal hands to the face call on that 3rd down.

    ReplyDelete
  115. At least we are now trying.

    Go for the endzone.

    ReplyDelete
  116. That pass was hurried of course, but still 5 yards short of the marker.

    ReplyDelete
  117. Beat the spread. Held the under.

Like said earlier in the week VT was beatable.

    They are overrated at 16

    ReplyDelete
  118. The ESPN guys are basically saying that Addazio hasn't done enough. That's something.

    ReplyDelete
  119. I agree that VT was beatable tonight.

    Oh well.

Someday enthusiasm will return, but ....................

Go BC. Players, hang in there.

    ReplyDelete
  120. Where was that wr sweep pass when we had a shot vs Clemson? Great play and I wish we could see more of that less of 3 dives up the middle. Daz coaches like if he keeps score close his job is safe or he wants to get fired I'm not sure wich is true.

    ReplyDelete
  121. It's all become pointless. Never to Excel.

    ReplyDelete
  122. Had tickets but went to see Blade Runner movie instead.

Looks like it was a better use of the 3 hours.

    Clown show got to go.

    ReplyDelete
  123. We covered. That's a win.

Congrats to the entire BC community.

    ReplyDelete
  124. It will be a challenge to instill in student fans, alums and college football fans the need to stay in their seats beyond halftime.

There has to be a change in culture for sure.

I'd like to know about the pre-game atmosphere, and whether or not it was still Gestapo like control, etc.

That's part of the culture too - that must change.

I could have stayed for the game, having family business in the Boston area Thursday and Friday, but I flew home this morning instead.

That's how bad it is from my point of view.

    ReplyDelete
  125. You know they are coming with blitz schemes on 3rd & long. The offense is in 3rd & long pretty much in every drive of every game. It amazes me how much the coaching staff either does not have faith in the talent on offense or doesn't know it. There are two ways to fix this; pass on first down and at least get five...teams are not scared of the deep or intermediate game, so they will give you that. Do the silly dive or power run that gains next to nothing and voila...3rd & manageable and you can open up the playbook. Instead, its the same game plan: run, run short pass not even close to the sticks. But wait...tonight they had a wrinkle!!! A no huddle offense and calling the same running game scheme you would have even if you did huddle, but now, the defense has no chance to rest!!! The clowns calling the game even noticed this.

It's time to move on. In college football, the best defense is offense. Sort out the defense later. Just make sure the defense hits hard and plays through the whistle. At least you have a chance in over 60% of your games and you are guaranteed a bowl spot if you commit to outscoring teams rather than this halfway bravado of conservatively playing superior teams straight up. Offense would have beaten Clemson and would have beaten VT tonight. No more freshman or injury excuses. No more sticking your chest out just to get get it caved in week to week. Let Brown and White go; use the running backs in the pass game. If this continues, next year the excuses shift to the defensive side of ball while the offense becomes minimally competent under the current regime.

Jarmond will not fire these guys this week or next; but he has to put his stamp on the athletic department by hiring a coach that will somehow find a strength to play to. Then basketball season starts...ugh.

    ReplyDelete
  126. This is one loss closer to having a new coach. When the total hits 7 then Daz is toast although I think they will wait until the day after the season ends. Hopefully we win a few more games so that there is something to build on for next year. With Louisville up next another loss is likely and you will start to hear talk of "winless in ACC games". Let's hope we avoid that distinction.

    ReplyDelete
  127. Winless in ACC 2 out of 3 years and two wins last year.

2 and 22. Great job, coaches.
