In-game comments post: Miami

It seems like every game with Addazio is a litmus test for his tenure. I guess this critical game is no different. We are BC!

  1. Go BC - the Eagles take the field in front of 10,000 fans.

  2. Open up the playbook and good things happen. Duh!

    ReplyDelete
  3. Empty student section to start....12 yr old girl who sang national anthem honestly was phenomenal. Best I have heard at any live event. Ton of tailgaters but zero buzz in stands. Thanks Daz.

  4. That's a Miami TD I think. BC defender is 5'9" against a 6'5" receiver.

    ReplyDelete
  5. Easily 2:1 Miami fans to BC in stadium.....#DecideToParty

    ReplyDelete
  6. Imagine how horrible our Dline will be next year...

    ReplyDelete
  7. Looks like a fun game brewing. Give Daz an extension!🏈

    ReplyDelete
  8. Looked like all 11 defenders were keying on Dillon initially on that.

    Good one, Mr. Brown!

    ReplyDelete
  9. Standslooks full now

    ReplyDelete
  10. Let's go, Special Teams Kickoff Coverage.

    ReplyDelete
  11. Nice check off and catch/run

    ReplyDelete
  12. Hunter Long got hurt on that play. Ankle?

    ReplyDelete
  13. I missed that Jack

    ReplyDelete
  14. Saw it on my tape. Hope not serious. Looks like ankle

    ReplyDelete
  15. He limped/skipped back across the field after the tackle at the Miami Bench.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Doug Flutie still looking good

    ReplyDelete
  17. Nice run Negated by penalty

    ReplyDelete
  18. I am constantly amazed at how hard Dylan runs

    ReplyDelete
  19. Look at how tight the Miami defenders are to the line.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Let’s get creative

    ReplyDelete
  21. That’s OK. If we score on every possession six points or three points we will win

    ReplyDelete
  22. Need to shut them down each time of course

    ReplyDelete
  23. I think sometimes Anthony gets the yips when he feels pressure

    ReplyDelete
  24. BC defense is so bad. Get shredded with the pass.

    ReplyDelete
  25. BC D needs to man up. This QB will shred them!

    ReplyDelete
  26. Bravesbill - at times the defense looks overwhelmed. They can't seem to sustain 3 or 4 plays. Some of that might be coaching signals too, but they really looked bad on that TD run.

    ReplyDelete
  27. That BC settling for a field gold can be a problem now

    ReplyDelete
  28. Walker – good run!

    ReplyDelete
  29. So far this is reminding me of that Flutie versus Miami game was it in 84

    ReplyDelete
  30. Ramman - yes, we should have punched it in there.

Let's hope Addazio doesn't turtle up.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Great job Carissa!

    ReplyDelete
  32. Typical Addazio play - maybe the penalty saved him.

    ReplyDelete
  33. #67 looked pretty bad on that.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Special-teams! Yea!

    ReplyDelete
  35. Can we hold Miami from scoring for 97 yards?

    ReplyDelete
  36. Offense Needs to protect the blind side

    ReplyDelete
  37. I’d like to see them call a down and out to Sweeney for Walker on first or second down next time

    ReplyDelete
  38. Our run defense seems to be stout tonight

    ReplyDelete
  39. Time for Walker!

    ReplyDelete
  40. Hometown refs. Boo

    ReplyDelete
  41. Bad clock management by Coach Addazio.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Blatant holding there.

    ReplyDelete
  43. If they tie it up or go ahead, it's all on Addazio.

    ReplyDelete
  44. Richardson - Yea!

    ReplyDelete
  45. Unreal. Good stop.

    Fans hopefully will stay around.

Addazio need to get this done. Stay open, coach.

    1. I’ve been to more big night games at Alumni than I can count and this is easily the most apathetic crowd I have seen in over twenty years. This will clear out by mid 3rd easy. Unbelievable.

      Delete
  46. That's what I was afraid of.

Athletic Department has to step up.

I notice that most of the students are not dressed properly for a cold night. But it's clear with little wind. No problem at all for real fans.

I don't get the apathy of fans who are AT THE GAME! It doesn't make sense.

One thing is for sure - I feel kind of helpless from 1000 miles away.

I'll be at the Clemson game yelling and screaming.

Go BC - win the second half.

    1. Last time I saw it like this was end of Bicknell era. No Super Fans, no energy from student section. People pouring out gate near Flutie statue as we speak. My wife (also alum) made an interesting point — the caliber of students they are attracting these days have very little interest in sports, let alone football. This is a close game and you would not know it....

      Delete
  47. Throw it away, Anthony.

    ReplyDelete
  48. Ok Defense - don't let these guys tie it up or get the lead.

    ReplyDelete
  49. That sack hurt. Brown - shaky

    ReplyDelete
  50. O line didn’t pick up blitz.

    ReplyDelete
  51. What are they reviewing?

    ReplyDelete
  52. Run it up the middle, coach.

    Stupid - we need 7 - 7 - 7!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  53. Excuse me, I didn't think Brown made it.

    ReplyDelete
  54. Let's run #2 into 11 defenders.

    ReplyDelete
  55. Too bad. We had Sweeney for a sure TD.

    ReplyDelete
  56. I think the play calling is atrocious

    ReplyDelete
  57. Yes - since the first quarter.

    ReplyDelete
  58. Couple of weeks ago I posted they could play call their way into a loss. This could be one of those games. Hope I am wrong.

    ReplyDelete
  59. As my grabdfather said - when you get them down, don't let them get back up!!!!

    Go BC! Beat Miami.

    ReplyDelete
  60. Let’s see if we can keep them pinned down this time

    ReplyDelete
  61. Keep it up defense

    ReplyDelete
  62. Let’s get seven this time! Yea Dillon!
    Great play calling Scott!

    ReplyDelete
  63. Let's dream big - drive down for another TD right here on this drive.

    Go BC!

    ReplyDelete
  64. I'm starting to think that Brown is not our best QB.

He'll certainly be in a fight next year.

    ReplyDelete
  65. Brown is a one read QB. Said it all season. He needs Dillon. Not good for the future.

    ReplyDelete
  66. Here comes our soft defense against

    ReplyDelete
  67. That interception changed or may have changed the entire game momentum-wise.

    Regroup, Boston College. Stay tough!!!

    ReplyDelete
  68. I want a chalupa!

    ReplyDelete
  69. No penalty. No crown - no targeting. He pulled his head up on a bang bang play.

    ReplyDelete
  70. Do you think the TV guys influence the officials?

    ReplyDelete
  71. Please give us a no call - do not reverse!

    ReplyDelete
  72. I think they sit very near each other.

    ReplyDelete
  73. How are the Red Sox doing

    ReplyDelete
  74. Don't turtle up completely.
    Get that first down.

    ReplyDelete
  75. Loefler calling good game

    ReplyDelete
  76. Should never have gone to slow pace

    ReplyDelete
  77. Stick a knife in their throat. I hope that earlier low tackle on AJ didn't hurt his ankle again.

It will show up after the game.

    ReplyDelete
  78. Come on Addazio - keep them off balance.

    ReplyDelete
  79. Dazoshit is turtling - playing not to lose.

    ReplyDelete
  80. 2 down territory. But a FG puts us up 3 scores, really.

    ReplyDelete
  81. Daz is the very picture of composure on the sideline. NOT!
He actually looks like the degenerate gambler Khead after a bet on DIII East Asswipe State goes against him and he has to tell his mother the rent money for his room in the basement will be late again.
After reading this post he’ll next write a crazy non sequitor about Providence College, then declare he can’t be beat.
BTW, there is a poster on both the Northwestern and Purdue boards named Knucklehead who claims he went to those schools too.
    Sad.

    ReplyDelete
  82. That’s a shoulder. Hope the kid is ok.

    ReplyDelete
  83. Don’t know if that was Louefler or Daz. But boo!

    ReplyDelete
  84. Georgia Eagle - that 3rd (and 10) down hand off to AJ up the middle was 100% Addazio turtling up.

Loeffler has to override the guy. I really don't think he called that, but was ordered to do so to play for the 44 yard FG.

    ReplyDelete
  85. We will never know!

    ReplyDelete
  86. Hold them. As usual, we are playing the clock, Addazio.

    ReplyDelete
  87. D! ‘Should’ lock it up!

    ReplyDelete
  88. We'll take it.

Here comes 3 up the middle.

So if you are going to milk the clock, coach - DO IT!

    ReplyDelete
  89. We should keep our O in high gear and let the U worry about stopping the clock.

    ReplyDelete
  90. Damn you, Addazio.

Ok, here come the 3rd up the middle.

You had better milk 45 seconds off before the punt.

    ReplyDelete
  91. Baker is on the ground every play. Line was better last year when he was out

    ReplyDelete
  92. Unbelievable - finally a winning call and we get a stupid penalty.

    ReplyDelete
  93. The Daz, Mr. Calm.

    ReplyDelete
  94. I have been saying all year that Baker gets overpowered.

Clemson will kill us because of that.

    ReplyDelete
  95. What’s going on announcers

    ReplyDelete
  96. Boy, I think we should win this, but we could have put this away.

    Keep them in bounds!!!!!!!!

I don't want to see a TD and an on-side kick.

    ReplyDelete
  97. Good defense. This is in the bag.

    ReplyDelete
  98. The fat lady has sung

    ReplyDelete
  99. Congratulations, Boston College!!!!!!!

Give it to someone besides AJ - to keep his average ok.

    That's it, take a knee.

    ReplyDelete
  100. Bring on Virginia tech

    ReplyDelete
  101. Nice win, but will be 6-5 when they take on the Cuze to finish season.

    ReplyDelete
  102. Well, I hope you are wrong, but I realize that's a possibility.

Still, I think we can beat Virginia Tech, based on what I have seen a few times from them this season.

I know that FSU is improving, but you never know.

Clemson - oh boy! Our Center will be looking at the sky all night. They will bowl him over at will.

Syracuse will be a very meaningful game. As I have said several years ago, this will once again be a rivarly game for BC - or as close as we can come to one. Dungey gives them a chance against anyone, Clemson included a few weeks ago.

So we'll see - and I hope you are wrong.

Meanwhile, let's enjoy this win for a day!

    ReplyDelete
  103. Dudes, we won. Convincingly. Be happy with the win and stop with the doom and gloom.

    ReplyDelete
  104. VTech is hugely winnable. That defense is poo poo. 500yds to ODU thru the air. 465 to GaTech on the ground.

    Great prime time win.

    ReplyDelete
  105. Yes the VT is not the same team of old. Our offensive game is better than theirs and our D is stout especially against the run. And they defended the pass very effectively tonight. They are a college team after all and we cannot expect the perfection of the Pats!

Despite the grousing I heard tonight about the coaching we did win decisively.

We will beat Tech next week.

    Beyond that we’ll see.

    Go Eagles 🦅

    ReplyDelete
  106. TGS, You are a fucking loser.

    ReplyDelete
  107. You just gave up any credibility by divulging your parousal of the Purdue and NW websites. You didn't go to Boston College and if you did you sure as shit didn't graduate. Bear Hunter.

    ReplyDelete
  108. Order the Thanksgiving ham yet, pinko?
