Empty student section to start....12 yr old girl who sang national anthem honestly was phenomenal. Best I have heard at any live event. Ton of tailgaters but zero buzz in stands. Thanks Daz.
Bravesbill - at times the defense looks overwhelmed. They can't seem to sustain 3 or 4 plays. Some of that might be coaching signals too, but they really looked bad on that TD run.
I’ve been to more big night games at Alumni than I can count and this is easily the most apathetic crowd I have seen in over twenty years. This will clear out by mid 3rd easy. Unbelievable.
Last time I saw it like this was end of Bicknell era. No Super Fans, no energy from student section. People pouring out gate near Flutie statue as we speak. My wife (also alum) made an interesting point — the caliber of students they are attracting these days have very little interest in sports, let alone football. This is a close game and you would not know it....
Daz is the very picture of composure on the sideline. NOT! He actually looks like the degenerate gambler Khead after a bet on DIII East Asswipe State goes against him and he has to tell his mother the rent money for his room in the basement will be late again. After reading this post he’ll next write a crazy non sequitor about Providence College, then declare he can’t be beat. BTW, there is a poster on both the Northwestern and Purdue boards named Knucklehead who claims he went to those schools too. Sad.
Well, I hope you are wrong, but I realize that's a possibility.
Still, I think we can beat Virginia Tech, based on what I have seen a few times from them this season.
I know that FSU is improving, but you never know.
Clemson - oh boy! Our Center will be looking at the sky all night. They will bowl him over at will.
Syracuse will be a very meaningful game. As I have said several years ago, this will once again be a rivarly game for BC - or as close as we can come to one. Dungey gives them a chance against anyone, Clemson included a few weeks ago.
Yes the VT is not the same team of old. Our offensive game is better than theirs and our D is stout especially against the run. And they defended the pass very effectively tonight. They are a college team after all and we cannot expect the perfection of the Pats!
Despite the grousing I heard tonight about the coaching we did win decisively.
You just gave up any credibility by divulging your parousal of the Purdue and NW websites. You didn't go to Boston College and if you did you sure as shit didn't graduate. Bear Hunter.
Go BC - the Eagles take the field in front of 10,000 fans.
ReplyDeleteOpen up the playbook and good things happen. Duh!
ReplyDeleteEmpty student section to start....12 yr old girl who sang national anthem honestly was phenomenal. Best I have heard at any live event. Ton of tailgaters but zero buzz in stands. Thanks Daz.
ReplyDeleteThat's a Miami TD I think. BC defender is 5'9" against a 6'5" receiver.
ReplyDeleteEasily 2:1 Miami fans to BC in stadium.....#DecideToParty
ReplyDeleteImagine how horrible our Dline will be next year...
ReplyDeleteDillon - tough
ReplyDeleteLooks like a fun game brewing. Give Daz an extension!🏈
ReplyDeleteLooked like all 11 defenders were keying on Dillon initially on that.
ReplyDeleteGood one, Mr. Brown!
Standslooks full now
ReplyDeleteLet's go, Special Teams Kickoff Coverage.
ReplyDeleteWhat the heck.
ReplyDeleteNice check off and catch/run
ReplyDeleteHunter Long got hurt on that play. Ankle?
ReplyDelete86 Yea
ReplyDeleteI missed that Jack
ReplyDeleteGood first quarter.
ReplyDeleteSaw it on my tape. Hope not serious. Looks like ankle
ReplyDeleteHe limped/skipped back across the field after the tackle at the Miami Bench.
ReplyDeleteDoug Flutie still looking good
ReplyDeleteNice run Negated by penalty
ReplyDeleteI am constantly amazed at how hard Dylan runs
ReplyDeleteLook at how tight the Miami defenders are to the line.
ReplyDeleteAlmost!
ReplyDeleteThrow long.
ReplyDeleteCome on Anthony
ReplyDeleteO no. Is he ok?
ReplyDeleteIBe toughness
ReplyDeleteOMG
ReplyDeleteLet’s get creative
ReplyDeleteThat’s OK. If we score on every possession six points or three points we will win
ReplyDeleteNeed to shut them down each time of course
ReplyDeleteI think sometimes Anthony gets the yips when he feels pressure
ReplyDeleteBC defense is so bad. Get shredded with the pass.
ReplyDeleteBC D needs to man up. This QB will shred them!
ReplyDeleteBravesbill - at times the defense looks overwhelmed. They can't seem to sustain 3 or 4 plays. Some of that might be coaching signals too, but they really looked bad on that TD run.
ReplyDeleteThat BC settling for a field gold can be a problem now
ReplyDeleteWalker – good run!
ReplyDeleteSo far this is reminding me of that Flutie versus Miami game was it in 84
ReplyDeleteRamman - yes, we should have punched it in there.
ReplyDeleteLet's hope Addazio doesn't turtle up.
Great job Carissa!
ReplyDeleteTypical Addazio play - maybe the penalty saved him.
ReplyDeleteDumb U
ReplyDeleteWow!
ReplyDelete#67 looked pretty bad on that.
ReplyDeleteSpecial-teams! Yea!
ReplyDeleteCan we hold Miami from scoring for 97 yards?
ReplyDeleteOffense Needs to protect the blind side
ReplyDeleteI’d like to see them call a down and out to Sweeney for Walker on first or second down next time
ReplyDeleteOur run defense seems to be stout tonight
ReplyDeleteGood job D
ReplyDeleteTime for Walker!
ReplyDeleteHometown refs. Boo
ReplyDeletePhew
ReplyDeleteBad clock management by Coach Addazio.
ReplyDeleteTerrible
ReplyDeleteBlatant holding there.
ReplyDeleteIf they tie it up or go ahead, it's all on Addazio.
ReplyDeleteTerrible
ReplyDeleteKeystone cop
ReplyDeleteRichardson - Yea!
ReplyDeleteUnreal. Good stop.
ReplyDeleteFans hopefully will stay around.
Addazio need to get this done. Stay open, coach.
I’ve been to more big night games at Alumni than I can count and this is easily the most apathetic crowd I have seen in over twenty years. This will clear out by mid 3rd easy. Unbelievable.
DeleteThat's what I was afraid of.
ReplyDeleteAthletic Department has to step up.
I notice that most of the students are not dressed properly for a cold night. But it's clear with little wind. No problem at all for real fans.
I don't get the apathy of fans who are AT THE GAME! It doesn't make sense.
One thing is for sure - I feel kind of helpless from 1000 miles away.
I'll be at the Clemson game yelling and screaming.
Go BC - win the second half.
DeleteThrow it away, Anthony.
ReplyDeleteOk Defense - don't let these guys tie it up or get the lead.
ReplyDeleteThat sack hurt. Brown - shaky
ReplyDeleteWrong defensive set.
ReplyDeleteFantastic.
ReplyDeleteWe need 7.
ReplyDeleteO line didn’t pick up blitz.
ReplyDeleteWhat are they reviewing?
ReplyDeleteRun it up the middle, coach.
ReplyDeleteStupid - we need 7 - 7 - 7!!!!!
Excuse me, I didn't think Brown made it.
ReplyDeleteLet's run #2 into 11 defenders.
ReplyDeleteToo bad. We had Sweeney for a sure TD.
ReplyDeleteI think the play calling is atrocious
ReplyDeleteYes - since the first quarter.
ReplyDeleteCouple of weeks ago I posted they could play call their way into a loss. This could be one of those games. Hope I am wrong.
ReplyDeleteGreat - let's roll.
ReplyDeleteAs my grabdfather said - when you get them down, don't let them get back up!!!!
ReplyDeleteGo BC! Beat Miami.
Let’s see if we can keep them pinned down this time
ReplyDeleteI guess not
ReplyDeleteKeep it up defense
ReplyDeleteOMG! Great D!
ReplyDeleteLet’s get seven this time! Yea Dillon!
ReplyDeleteGreat play calling Scott!
Let's dream big - drive down for another TD right here on this drive.
ReplyDeleteGo BC!
I'm starting to think that Brown is not our best QB.
ReplyDeleteHe'll certainly be in a fight next year.
Agree
DeleteBrown is a one read QB. Said it all season. He needs Dillon. Not good for the future.
ReplyDeleteHere comes our soft defense against
ReplyDeleteBoo
ReplyDeleteThat interception changed or may have changed the entire game momentum-wise.
ReplyDeleteRegroup, Boston College. Stay tough!!!
I want a chalupa!
ReplyDeleteZack!
ReplyDeleteD came through
ReplyDeleteNo targeting!
ReplyDeleteNo penalty. No crown - no targeting. He pulled his head up on a bang bang play.
ReplyDeleteDo you think the TV guys influence the officials?
ReplyDeletePlease give us a no call - do not reverse!
ReplyDeleteI think they sit very near each other.
ReplyDeleteHow are the Red Sox doing
ReplyDeleteDon't turtle up completely.
ReplyDeleteGet that first down.
Loefler calling good game
ReplyDeleteToo bad.
ReplyDeleteShould never have gone to slow pace
ReplyDeleteWow
ReplyDeleteStick a knife in their throat. I hope that earlier low tackle on AJ didn't hurt his ankle again.
ReplyDeleteIt will show up after the game.
This is beautiful!!!
ReplyDeleteCome on 🦅
ReplyDeleteCome on Addazio - keep them off balance.
ReplyDeleteDazoshit is turtling - playing not to lose.
ReplyDelete2 down territory. But a FG puts us up 3 scores, really.
ReplyDeleteDaz is the very picture of composure on the sideline. NOT!
ReplyDeleteHe actually looks like the degenerate gambler Khead after a bet on DIII East Asswipe State goes against him and he has to tell his mother the rent money for his room in the basement will be late again.
After reading this post he’ll next write a crazy non sequitor about Providence College, then declare he can’t be beat.
BTW, there is a poster on both the Northwestern and Purdue boards named Knucklehead who claims he went to those schools too.
Sad.
That’s a shoulder. Hope the kid is ok.
ReplyDeleteDon’t know if that was Louefler or Daz. But boo!
ReplyDeleteGeorgia Eagle - that 3rd (and 10) down hand off to AJ up the middle was 100% Addazio turtling up.
ReplyDeleteLoeffler has to override the guy. I really don't think he called that, but was ordered to do so to play for the 44 yard FG.
We will never know!
ReplyDeleteThat was weird.
ReplyDeleteHold them. As usual, we are playing the clock, Addazio.
ReplyDeleteD!
ReplyDeleteD! ‘Should’ lock it up!
ReplyDeleteWe'll take it.
ReplyDeleteHere comes 3 up the middle.
So if you are going to milk the clock, coach - DO IT!
We should keep our O in high gear and let the U worry about stopping the clock.
ReplyDeleteDamn you, Addazio.
ReplyDeleteOk, here come the 3rd up the middle.
You had better milk 45 seconds off before the punt.
Horse collar?
ReplyDeleteBaker is on the ground every play. Line was better last year when he was out
ReplyDeleteUnbelievable - finally a winning call and we get a stupid penalty.
ReplyDeleteThe Daz, Mr. Calm.
ReplyDeleteI have been saying all year that Baker gets overpowered.
ReplyDeleteClemson will kill us because of that.
What’s going on announcers
ReplyDeleteBoy, I think we should win this, but we could have put this away.
ReplyDeleteKeep them in bounds!!!!!!!!
I don't want to see a TD and an on-side kick.
Good defense. This is in the bag.
ReplyDeleteThe fat lady has sung
ReplyDeleteCongratulations, Boston College!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteGive it to someone besides AJ - to keep his average ok.
That's it, take a knee.
Bring on Virginia tech
ReplyDeleteNice win, but will be 6-5 when they take on the Cuze to finish season.
ReplyDeleteWell, I hope you are wrong, but I realize that's a possibility.
ReplyDeleteStill, I think we can beat Virginia Tech, based on what I have seen a few times from them this season.
I know that FSU is improving, but you never know.

Syracuse will be a very meaningful game. As I have said several years ago, this will once again be a rivarly game for BC - or as close as we can come to one. Dungey gives them a chance against anyone, Clemson included a few weeks ago.
So we'll see - and I hope you are wrong.
Meanwhile, let's enjoy this win for a day!
Dudes, we won. Convincingly. Be happy with the win and stop with the doom and gloom.
ReplyDeleteVTech is hugely winnable. That defense is poo poo. 500yds to ODU thru the air. 465 to GaTech on the ground.
ReplyDeleteGreat prime time win.
Yes the VT is not the same team of old. Our offensive game is better than theirs and our D is stout especially against the run. And they defended the pass very effectively tonight. They are a college team after all and we cannot expect the perfection of the Pats!
ReplyDeleteDespite the grousing I heard tonight about the coaching we did win decisively.
We will beat Tech next week.
Beyond that we’ll see.
Go Eagles 🦅
TGS, You are a fucking loser.
ReplyDeleteYou just gave up any credibility by divulging your parousal of the Purdue and NW websites. You didn't go to Boston College and if you did you sure as shit didn't graduate. Bear Hunter.
ReplyDeleteOrder the Thanksgiving ham yet, pinko?
