Addazio has to "pull a rabbit out of a hat". Let's hope that he does. Let's also hope that AB does well. However if he doesn't that the Dazzler has the courage to bring in a backup.
Desmond Howard said it best - BC needs sustained drives, time of possession, score TDs instead of FGs - keep the Clemson Offense on the sidelines as long as possible, etc.
Easier said than done, but that's a reasonable way of looking at it.
It's going to be cold - but not cold enough, so BC will have to play well for other reasons.
Go BC - we are proud of how far you have come. Embrace the night - embrace the chance and do yourselves proud!!!!
ESPN really doing a phenomenal job putting BC over on Gameday. Despite the crappy weather conditions this has been a great spot for the school. Even Herbstreit saying nice things.
It is cold, wet and raw out right now and only getting colder and more blustery as we get to game time. Should be a perfect atmosphere for an upset. Let’s go Eagles 🦅!
Hypotheses Determining the impact of inhospitable weather on NFL team performance considering contributing factors. Does inclement weather affect home and visiting teams equally? Are teams visiting from mild and inhospitable climates affected similarly or differently by extreme wind, cold, and heat? How do wind and temperature affect a quarterback’s ability to successfully complete passes? Do teams adjust their offensive strategy when the conditions inhibit a quarterback’s ability to pass? In these situations, do teams opt to put a larger offensive emphasis on rushing? Do cold and wind affect a team’s rushing and passing ability equally? These questions suggest the following testable hypotheses:
Hypothesis 1: Visiting teams’ passing performance will be more vulnerable than home teams’ to freezing conditions.
Hypothesis 1A: Visiting teams are more likely than home teams to modify their offensive strategy and substitute rush attempts for pass attempts as a result of anticipated performance effects in conditions of extreme weather.
Hypothesis 2: Large and negative differences between game temperatures and average weekly temperatures will significantly inhibit visiting teams’ passing ability.
Hypothesis 2A: These large and negative temperature differences will push visiting teams to modify their offensive strategy, superseding pass attempts with rush attempts.
Hypothesis 3: Wind will affect the passing performance of teams visiting from stadiums with low average wind speeds more than teams visiting from windy stadiums.
This is the one game I worried about Baker (290) getting pancaked all night by the 350 pound nose tackle. We need to hit the line very quickly in the run department.
Funny the administration sent an email out saying no political signs, no advertising or .com signs and nothing negative or derogatory. They let the "sucks to BU" sign through though.
Awesome.
TGS is pissed about that one too. Sucking is offensive to him or her
Over under is 51. Seems very low. Spread is 18.5. They are saying the final score is 35-16 give or take.
It was very windy over there when I left at 1pm. Flags at the top of the stadium were flat out. Not sure that is going to keep the scoring that low though. Fair catches will be tough and fg/pat kicks at Beacon St will be interesting.
Clemson going for it on 4th down would not be good for us either. They haven't missed a kick all season. So they wont hesitate to kick as much as we might.
Another play BC never uses because AB cannot run and throw accurately is the traditional screen play. Might be effective against a good defensive line.
Since AB sucks, I would run it out of the wildcat with Smith at QB faking he is keeping it and chucking back to the opposite side of the field on a wheel route. Hybrid Matt Ryan throwback against VT and the Tebow jump-pass.
ACC officials are forgetting what benefits the conference. Hint: It's not a BC victory. Should have called a phantom block in the back on the Walker return.
It's the reservoir. The wind whips across the campus with lots of moisture. I saw Mike Walker on the sideline after the td. He had the towel around his neck and no bravado just like he did it in practice. Well done.
Knead is a sophomore at BC High. Very excited mommy let him go to espn game day. Hopes to one day get accepted into Roxbury CC, then transfer to UMass Boston.
Yes but don’t dismiss how big D has been. Clemson has a lot of weapons on offense and much more talented than we are at skill positions. Were up 24 on NCST and 28 on Wake at half. If we can keep pressure on Sunshine and get some O going we can make this interesting.
Can you ass clowns maybe stop filling this comment stream with childish back and forth insults? I mean, get a life. We're trying to watch and talk about football.
If anyone said prior to the game the score would be 13-7 at half with BC getting the ball to start 2nd half we would have said hell yeah!! We are in this!!! Let’s go BC!!!
I would like to see Perry throw downfield at least once on first drive of 2nd half. Preferably on 1st or 2nd down. Let’s show them we want to win, not just hang around.
My old class of 66 buddy and his wife needed to leave the game and after 10 minutes of the first quarter because it was so cold and windy. And he is a Needham boy!
Bravesbill is right. And 60's - it's mind boggling. Biggest game in years and we run right at the bestDL in the country on the 1950 era Belly Series with an injured RB
Anyone agree that a no huddle hurry up offense when you are overmatched, your backup QB is in, and your defense has already been on the field for most of the game makes no sense?
Daz is that you? In order for us to challenge for an ACC Championship we need a coach that can develop & adjust game plans that allows 3 star recruits to play like 5 star recruits. Otherwise why do we play?
Yes and they are the more talented team and should probably win this game. But you still play to win. Our defense is certainly playing that way tonite. That means more creative play calling by the coaches and taking chances on offense to give them a chance.
There aren’t too many undefeated coaches out there. It’s quite a few great coaches. I’m not saying adagio is one of them. But he has lead us to a pretty good season
Perry is relaxing and does look very good. He just didn't have a lot of experience. Sadly, that should have been part of the equation. You have to have a contingency for a first string injury. This was not done. Big credit to the defense.
Daz is that you? Sure Clemson is a legit beast. But you could have beaten Purdue and NCST with this team. You are the highest paid employee at the University.
But of course #EverToDoJustEnoughToKeepYourJob right?
NCSTATE - Brown went down, Dillon too Pery came in. Not good enough. With starters we would have won PURDUE - WTF. We should have won. Didn’t. That was coaching!
Considering how long they were on the field - D played a very good game. They would have been even better if we could have generated any kind of offense. Our offensive line just got rolled over. There were other issues - but their defensive front just overwhelmed our guys all night - bigger, faster and stronger. We are not in a position to seriously compete against this level of team until we get a much better OL. Very impressed with Clemson's QB - extremely deceptive with the ball.
AJ dillon should take next week off. His ankle is clearly still bothering him. It is not helping the team. He is not hitting the hole hard, cannot cut and is not breaking any tackles.
Go Eagles!
ReplyDeleteDo you believe in miracles?
ReplyDeleteFirst sign u see at Game Day, Get Well Soon RBG! That’s Ruth Bader Ginsberg for the uninitiated.
ReplyDeleteWhat a joke.
Addazio has to "pull a rabbit out of a hat". Let's hope that he does. Let's also hope that AB does well. However if he doesn't that the Dazzler has the courage to bring in a backup.

Dress properly, BC fans going to the game.
ReplyDeleteI'm going to be pissed at fans leaving because of the chill - there's no excuse.
This isn't a fashion show - it's a big time, big boy football game!!!!!!
Go BC.
Just wish they had grass, snow and mud tonight. BC can play old fashion smash- mouth football.
ReplyDeleteGameday sign: "Dabo takes the B-Line". Well played.
ReplyDeleteGameday fans are to be congratulated because the morning weather here right now and throughout really SUCKS.
ReplyDeleteESPN really doing a phenomenal job putting BC over on Gameday. Despite the crappy weather conditions this has been a great spot for the school. Even Herbstreit saying nice things.

Put that heat up in CU’s locker room!
ReplyDeleteMake them feel it when they’re outside.
Should’ve guessed it was going to be Chris O’Donnell.
ReplyDeleteNice....

ReplyDeleteTGS watching through someones window complaining about some made up supreme court bullshit.
ReplyDeleteScrew off TGS.
What a bitch.
Funny the administration sent an email out saying no political signs, no advertising or .com signs and nothing negative or derogatory. They let the "sucks to BU" sign through though.
ReplyDeleteAwesome.

GO BC - I'm heading out to the game and won't be blogging probably.
ReplyDeleteGood luck BC - get 'em down and give 'em the business!!!!!!
Knucklehead, for BC, fg/pat kicks are interesting in good weather. We might see more decisions to go for it on 4th down.
ReplyDeleteThis is BJK - I am on the Comm Ave garage roof at a tailgate.
ReplyDeleteIt's pretty cold and the wind is gusting real good.
Oh boy!
91,
ReplyDeleteYeah exactly.
Clemson going for it on 4th down would not be good for us either. They haven't missed a kick all season. So they wont hesitate to kick as much as we might.
I am looking for a double reverse with Smith getting the first reverse, dropping it to Levy for a chuck back to Smith.
ReplyDeleteLevy is sharp look for the dump off to Sweeney or AB of Smith is not open.
Those are the names I would but it might be another crew.
Glines already had one earlier in the season so Clemson will be looking for it from him.
. . . Shit I come up with waiting for another beer.
ReplyDeleteAnother play BC never uses because AB cannot run and throw accurately is the traditional screen play. Might be effective against a good defensive line.

Late line change down to +17.5
ReplyDeleteMy brothers at the game, keep us posted and updated.
ReplyDeleteIn my seat - wind behind me on BC side, but swirling at times.
ReplyDeleteNot bothering the QBs in practice. Chill won't bother anyone to start I'M HOME.
ReplyDeleteI.M.H.O. I hate autocorrect.
ReplyDeleteMany Clemson fans and a small band contingent - just as loud as ours.
ReplyDeleteIt should be a pretty full stadium at kickoff.
ReplyDeleteMy phone does not have much charge.
Clemson fans have bought tickets all over the stadium.
ReplyDeleteBC passed out white flags and I think they are wearing throwback uniforms.
Lawrence is as good as anyone we have seen here + back to John Elway and (did) Roger Stauback (play here?)
ReplyDeletePre game (flashing) light show now.
ReplyDeleteWill bc finally graduate from bridesmaid to bride? We shall see
ReplyDeleteNot cold enough. 🙂
ReplyDeleteBS timeout.
ReplyDeleteUh oh.
ReplyDeleteWell AB naysayers, get ready for Perry....
ReplyDeleteGame over?
ReplyDeleteI like up tempo but damn we have to come up with some better 1st & 2nd down plays...we will not win facing 3rd and long all night....
ReplyDeleteCT, don't be a defeatist asshole
ReplyDeleteMark Herzlich leading the cheers.
ReplyDeleteWhether Perry or Brown the play calling has to be much more imaginative against a physically superior opponent or they will get blown out
ReplyDeleteZach Allen came to play.
ReplyDeleteSPECIAL TEAMS!
ReplyDeleteACC officials are forgetting what benefits the conference. Hint: It's not a BC victory. Should have called a phantom block in the back on the Walker return.
ReplyDeleteSkyWalker!!!!
ReplyDeleteMark Herzlich ringing the bell!
ReplyDeleteWALKER!
Two drunk Clemson kids in fgront of me. I'm going to wear them out. 🙂
It's the reservoir. The wind whips across the campus with lots of moisture. I saw Mike Walker on the sideline after the td. He had the towel around his neck and no bravado just like he did it in practice. Well done.
ReplyDeleteDillon is so hurt. He should’ve gotten that first down.
ReplyDeleteTotally. We have to get some play action going here with Perry. Quick slants & dumps to Sweeney.
DeleteThis is ominous
ReplyDeleteOn the second down run. I remember when he used to run people over. Now...he avoids contact.
ReplyDeleteWho is the QB? Perry? I couldn't tell and no program.
ReplyDeleteWalker looks amped! 🦅
ReplyDeleteThey should let the defensive coordinator call the plays on offense
ReplyDeleteAgree about Dillon. Itried to tell everyone his injury at Temple game was serious.
ReplyDeleteThey had a few solid backs. Why not spot them in?
ReplyDeleteDaz heading into his shell now. Hopefully dickhead (knead) will join him.
ReplyDeleteYes. Perry’s in at qb
ReplyDeleteWe have several excellent rbs. Why not use them? Oh, I forgot. Dazoshit is the head coach.
ReplyDeleteTwo guys just got engaged in that add. How sweet. One was Khead.
ReplyDeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
DeleteI love the female proposing to her wussy, balless bf
ReplyDeleteDespite our corners being outmatched, I think this may be the strongest our D has looked all season. Good game plan — 2 big stops in red zone.
ReplyDeleteThird and 12, run the QB. Daz now Playing to lose relatively close.
ReplyDeletePerry’s best attribute is probably his girlfriend.
ReplyDeleteI agree. With Dillon & Allen out our D must play well. Zack Allen certainly is not outmatched!
ReplyDeleteCheevers is realizing that Sundays are harder than Saturdays.
ReplyDeleteBut the defense has been on the field way too much and that will catch up with them soon. They haven’t let Perry throw one pass.
ReplyDelete3rd and 12 and RPO keeper???? Are we now afraid to have Perry throw downfield? That is the conservative BS call that cannot happen.
ReplyDeleteThis game will get ugly if Perry can't get us going.
ReplyDeleteWhat a baptism.
PERRY will get better the more he plays
ReplyDeleteWhere is Levy? He was a beast last week.
ReplyDeleteYea
ReplyDeletePerry! A gamer
ReplyDeleteFinally, some 1st down play action.
ReplyDeleteOh no
ReplyDeleteWTF
ReplyDeletePerry a little nervous.
ReplyDeleteHe will snap out it
TGS pleasures himself to me.
ReplyDeleteWhat a break. Clearly a penalty
ReplyDeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeleteHonestly, not sure how they don’t call that for illegal contact. We got a huge break.
ReplyDeleteKnead is a sophomore at BC High. Very excited mommy let him go to espn game day. Hopes to one day get accepted into Roxbury CC, then transfer to UMass Boston.
ReplyDeleteFeel like I’m watching commercials filled football breaks
ReplyDeleteYou still pleasure yourself to me. You are clearly on round two. I do have that effect on people.
ReplyDeleteNo.
ReplyDeleteOffensive line is so overmatched which is why the plain vanilla play calling makes no sense
ReplyDeletePray Clemson doesn't score before the half.
ReplyDeleteTurn Perry loose. BC is never scoring if Daz continues to call this crap.
ReplyDeleteDillion just does not look explosive
ReplyDeleteTGS spends his Saturday nights thinking about homosexual TV ads and BC High. Fact.
ReplyDelete18 seconds
ReplyDelete1 second - hold em.
ReplyDeleteMost one sided six point game at the half I have ever seen
ReplyDeleteYes but don’t dismiss how big D has been. Clemson has a lot of weapons on offense and much more talented than we are at skill positions. Were up 24 on NCST and 28 on Wake at half. If we can keep pressure on Sunshine and get some O going we can make this interesting.

ReplyDeleteDitto
DeleteKH lives for this. Enjoys being the AH. Can’t help himself. Particularly gross today sharing his foul fantasies.
DeleteAhh, 45 minutes in the beer line. Here we go.
ReplyDeleteGood half.

DeleteIf anyone said prior to the game the score would be 13-7 at half with BC getting the ball to start 2nd half we would have said hell yeah!! We are in this!!! Let’s go BC!!!
ReplyDeleteYes
DeleteDisappointing offensive output, but we’ll take being down 6 to #2 team in country at half with possession to start 2nd half. D stepped up big time.
ReplyDeleteThis is where great coaching wins games Daz. How are you going to adjust? Everyone is watching...
This is Clemson’s closest game at the half since they played Syracuse
ReplyDeleteExpect more dives up the middle next half. Daz doesn’t want to win, just keep it close.
ReplyDeleteBig fireworks at half time.
ReplyDeleteThe difference in this game is 2 or 3 long Clemson completions and the penalty on Walkers second run back.
I have a funny feeling that we may get some offense going in the second half. We're due, even with Perry playing in his first big game.
I wish the temp would drop 10 to 15 degrees, Go BC.
ReplyDeleteGood d. If Perry’s going rest of game they better break out the Flutie era playbook. He’s a scrambler.
ReplyDeleteThe dives up the middle on the1950 belly series is pissing everyone off around me. Except the Clemson fans, of course.
ReplyDeletePerry is a gamer. He’s going to go for it!!
ReplyDeletePerry will deliver.
ReplyDelete...in the 2nd half
ReplyDeleteWe are more than still in it!
ReplyDeleteGo Eagles!🦅
I would like to see Perry throw downfield at least once on first drive of 2nd half. Preferably on 1st or 2nd down. Let’s show them we want to win, not just hang around.
ReplyDeleteMy old class of 66 buddy and his wife needed to leave the game and after 10 minutes of the first quarter because it was so cold and windy. And he is a Needham boy!
ReplyDeleteNeed well scripted drive by Loeffler to start the 2nd. If we score first in the 2nd, Clemson rattled, BC wins.
ReplyDeleteLet’s go!!!!
Nice adjustments Daz......😳
ReplyDeleteWhat a disappointment.
ReplyDeletePlay calling on first series in second half - mind boggling
ReplyDeleteAddazio strikes again.
ReplyDeleteNice first drive Daz.
ReplyDeleteCome out of the locker room weak, what do you expect??
ReplyDeleteThe dam is about to burst
ReplyDeleteCoaching.
ReplyDeleteFuck off Daz you worthless piece of crap.
ReplyDeleteAnd the massacre begins.
ReplyDeleteBravesbill is right. And 60's - it's mind boggling. Biggest game in years and we run right at the bestDL in the country on the 1950 era Belly Series with an injured RB
ReplyDeleteYou can't make this shit up.
Believe this is going to get ugly now.
ReplyDeleteWas that acatch? Why couldn't it be reviewed?
ReplyDeleteObserver College is right.
Anyone agree that a no huddle hurry up offense when you are overmatched, your backup QB is in, and your defense has already been on the field for most of the game makes no sense?
ReplyDeleteWhy didn't dazoDazo challenge that. ? Can his coaching get any worse?
ReplyDeleteI take it BC doesn’t have replay guys?!
ReplyDeleteHonestly why even put Perry in if you don’t trust him to pass? Just snap directly to the qb and put in an extra blocker.
ReplyDeleteDaz has his excuse (QB out) and can claim we “tied” first half. Now he is done
ReplyDeleteNo will to win.
Coaching difference is very obvious.
ReplyDeleteI always thought McDonald was better
ReplyDeleteGreat play Luke
ReplyDeleteCome on players - do it for yourselves.
ReplyDeleteDaz, YOU are the one that needs to be a dude. YOU are the one that should #DecideToFly.
ReplyDeleteYou had us. But it’s clear that all of that is just BS sales talk if you don’t do it yourself.
C’mon.....Daz....
Dabo calls look pretty shitty too
ReplyDeleteThe real difference is that talent pool. Clempson has plenty of five star recruits. They may not be able to read but they sure can play
ReplyDeleteDaz is that you? In order for us to challenge for an ACC Championship we need a coach that can develop & adjust game plans that allows 3 star recruits to play like 5 star recruits. Otherwise why do we play?
DeleteWhy do we ALWAYS throw short of the sticks on 3rd / 4th down???
ReplyDeleteThird and nine, down 13 points, and you run it up the middle
ReplyDeleteBut BC needs to get some offense going
ReplyDeleteOnce again, they throw short of the first down marker. Way to improvise, Dazoshit
ReplyDeleteWe can still win if we hold them. There big boys are getting tired. Play slower and get some first downs.
ReplyDeleteHas Kobay regressed??? Thought that guy was going to be the future. Or maybe we don’t use him right.
ReplyDeleteNo hurt tonight. I just hope we cover.
ReplyDeleteOC is not good tonight.
ReplyDeleteDillon just doesn't have it anymore. If we must run why not use the other rbs????
ReplyDeleteLet’s not forget we’re playing Clemson. They’re good
ReplyDeleteYes and they are the more talented team and should probably win this game. But you still play to win. Our defense is certainly playing that way tonite. That means more creative play calling by the coaches and taking chances on offense to give them a chance.
DeleteOf course you need to fight to win. I want to win. But Clemson wants to win too. And they have the better team
DeleteThat’s where having a great coach makes a difference. They figure out how to win against better teams with the talent they have.
DeleteThere aren’t too many undefeated coaches out there. It’s quite a few great coaches. I’m not saying adagio is one of them. But he has lead us to a pretty good season
DeleteGreat salesman. Great evaluator of talent, especially given admissions constraints. Not a good game manager. That will not change.
DeleteAnother “tie” for 3Q fir Daz.
ReplyDeletePerry has thrown a few nice passes.
ReplyDeleteMore!
Perry is relaxing and does look very good. He just didn't have a lot of experience. Sadly, that should have been part of the equation. You have to have a contingency for a first string injury. This was not done. Big credit to the defense.
ReplyDeletePerry is probably a better passer than AB but is just handcuffed.
ReplyDeleteHad BC thrown a simple short slant across middle?
ReplyDeleteI agree. Superior talent is prevailing. Couple that with dazoshits poor field generalship and the odds are horrific for BC
ReplyDeleteThere it wac
ReplyDeleteAnother short ball. Nuts
ReplyDeleteZero imagination
ReplyDeleteAnother fucking pass short of the sticks.
ReplyDeleteUggghhh
ReplyDeleteTurn out the lights the party is over.
ReplyDeleteFucking gutless Daz. You deserve that punt return. Go fire yourself you clown.
ReplyDeleteFuck Herbstreit. (Because)
ReplyDeleteYeah. Needed a mistake free game.
ReplyDeleteHopefully we won’t have to wait 10 years between Gamedays.
Our players never had a chance to win WTH these absolute shit calls.
ReplyDeleteOur Offensive coaching staff should be ashamed of themselves. I am ashamed of them for sure. Lot of people leaving too bad.
Nice game plan, Addazio.
Our players deserved better.
Another pass short of the mark on third down - YOU STIFF.
Way to go! Let’s open it up. Nothing to lose
ReplyDeleteClemson is the Huns of the ACC .They are wiping-out every opponent. Probably the only team that can beat Alabama.
ReplyDeleteAnd I'm going to bed. Bye.
Well that’s not on Daz
ReplyDeletePunting at midfield down by 20....head home everyone....
ReplyDeleteWhy is Dillon still in this game?
ReplyDeleteNight Georgia!
ReplyDeleteToo bad that this offense is so damn bad with Dazz leading it. Knew it would happen but figured at least something better than what we are seeing.
ReplyDeletePerry is overwhelmed. Not a big deal. Lost to a team that will finish third. Not a biggie.
ReplyDeleteLawrence is two yrs away from being really good.
Too bad Daz is married to AB. Oh well.
Well Daz could lead us to 9-3 regular season (Syracuse assumed a W - risky). Probably extension. And who can really argue against it!
ReplyDeleteA new Daz apologist? Boo
DeleteDaz is that you? Sure Clemson is a legit beast. But you could have beaten Purdue and NCST with this team. You are the highest paid employee at the University.
DeleteBut of course #EverToDoJustEnoughToKeepYourJob right?
NCSTATE - Brown went down, Dillon too Pery came in. Not good enough. With starters we would have won PURDUE - WTF. We should have won. Didn’t. That was coaching!
DeleteJust being a realist. With the record he has his bosses will not fire him
DeleteGoing to need this D to show up against Cuse.
ReplyDeleteGood effort. Just playing a top 5 program. Brown had little chance. Perry zero. Just move on.
ReplyDeleteThe BC commercial was the best thing i’ve Seen tonight
ReplyDeletePlayed their hearts out against a better opponent. Clemson is legit. Let’s get after FSU & Cuse.
ReplyDeleteProud of them. Hope Brown comes back. Otherwise FSU becomes tough and Syracuse a loss. Go Eagles! 🦅🦅
ReplyDeleteSo you’re saying the Daz Special - 7-6 - is still possible?
DeleteIt would be very Daz-esque to pull another Daz special this year.
ReplyDeleteConsidering how long they were on the field - D played a very good game.
ReplyDeleteBravesbill was right - even with Brown, Addazio never played to win. Game plan on the offensive side was offensive.
ReplyDeleteAnd playing Dillon on one leg is coaching malpractice.
Other than that - proud of the team and effort and Clemson controlled the line all night.
But I think they can't match Alabama - but #2 ain't bad.
Go BC - find a way to win the last two.
AJ dillon should take next week off. His ankle is clearly still bothering him. It is not helping the team. He is not hitting the hole hard, cannot cut and is not breaking any tackles.
ReplyDelete
