This is our last BC Football game for nine months. It is also the end of a strange and up and down season. I want to end with a win and it is safe to say Addazio could use one.

No Allen or McDuffie, need big game from Dillon
ReplyDeleteThe weather is supposed to be wet and windy, which has caused the over-under to plummet. There could be a shutout in these conditions. Coach Addazio should lean on the run and eat time wherever possible. Better to take a reasonably close loss here, say 3-0 or so up to 14-0. Blame the weather conditions for the fluke result, and take the sure win in the Jay McGillis game.
ReplyDeletePlay action on first offensive play...Is this the real life or is this just fantasy?
ReplyDeleteShame Allen couldn’t play for him to end his career but think it’s great for Valdez and Barlow to get a ton of snaps
ReplyDeleteGood start and OL was pretty dominant on that series. See if it holds
ReplyDeleteYeah both lines look good.
ReplyDeleteDecisions decisions. Root for a BC blowout or for Seven Win Steve to live up to his reputation.
ReplyDeleteLooks like the bands are the only people in the stands.

ReplyDeleteTeam looks prepared and ready to play. Surprised Loeffler calling plays. AJ looks like he is running with more confidence.
ReplyDeleteRooting for the win. And for no major injuries. Would love to see them open up the offense all game.
2nd offensive series looked different and BSU has adjusted and decided that they will stop the run.
ReplyDeleteLet's get AJ closer to the LOS, otherwise the stacked box will be tough to run on.
Duh.
Accurate passes are needed for sure.
Oh boy - weather delay.
If Dillon can get beyond the line of scrimmage without getting hit, this should be a win. We look bigger.
ReplyDeleteThey do love their screens.
Meter and Pete great BC announcers but they are currently during lightning delay doing a
ReplyDeletenauseating defense of DAZZO=SHIT . ARE THEY KIDDING.
Tom O'Brien mentioned did they forget he won minor bowls Dazo=Shit loses always.
He also won HOLY WARS Dazzo=SHIT 0 for.
They should really try youtube and see they are having convenient DEMENTIA .
Worst part of these toilet bowls is you get the bottom of the espn barrel announcing team.
ReplyDeleteClown actually said he “loves the Daz’s Consistency”.
Loser is 38-38. Consistently putrid.
What happened to McDuffie? Did he get injured in practice?
ReplyDeleteSo on the first series, AJ was positioned near AB, 5 yards behind the center. He is great with a FB ahead of him too.
ReplyDelete2nd series - same old Addazio. AJ 8 yards behind center into a stacked box. WTF?
Same with Levy = no good.
Game canceled now after ten minutes played with Coach Addazio ahead 7-0. Put that into the books as a 42-0 win for Coach Addazio, and an 8-5 season.
ReplyDeleteGame cancelled. Fitting.
ReplyDeleteAre you kidding? I have ESPN on and haven't seen this yet.
ReplyDeleteThis is unheard of in my experience.
Cancelled - No Contest!!!!!!!
Think about all of those poor people who travelled from the Northeast for that game....
ReplyDeleteStats dont count. But Seven Win Steve lives onnnn doessss
ReplyDeleteHow soon before ATL has a story up saying that BC would have won the game.
ReplyDeleteTotal BS.
ReplyDeleteBC Will not be doing much in Texas after Texas a&m basketball fiasco and this.
Fake game only for tv.
Why wasn’t it in a domed stadium?
Has it ever happened before?
What is up with BC and weather at bowl games? Last year we slipped all over the field and this year we get struck by lightning. What a shit end to the season!
ReplyDeleteSomeone REALLY doesn’t want BC to win an 8th game in a season.

ReplyDeleteMeterperel is unbearable. Wouldnt work for any D1 radio program. Homer and is in bed with Daz
ReplyDeleteWhat was Meterperrell saying?

ReplyDeleteToo bad for all involved. I wonder how soon they can leave?
ReplyDeleteDefending Daz. Imagine Daz at an SEC school with savage fans calling into a radio show. He's got it easy
ReplyDeleteThe distain for anything to do with Texas grows.
ReplyDeleteThis along with the basketball cancellation are just embarrassing and can’t remember either of those outcomes ever happening before.
ReplyDeleteWho is leading the athletic department of BC? These are decisions being made on behalf of BC and spotlighting BC in a negative way. Obviously safety for players first but in either case weather was not extreme by any stretch.
Just bizarre
Do you think Jarmond accepted the ask for a "no contest"? I bet he did without any knowledge that he can choose and negotiate
ReplyDeleteI feel bad for the 7 BC fans that made the trip to Dallas.
ReplyDeleteSo much hype starting the season... and this is how it ends. Disappointed but also laughing at the incompetency from Day 1. Now we have basketball? Will be a long season if you ask me.

ReplyDeleteDoes anyone know what the NCAA rules are on claiming victory? Curious if the Mouse had a window for at least getting something.
ReplyDeleteVery disappointed the BC administration accepted the judgment that this was a "no contest". Coach Addazio took on the designated opponent for as long a time as the team was allowed to play. Whether ten minutes or 60, Coach Addazio had more points than Boise State. That's a win and his eighth of the season.
ReplyDeleteCoach Addazio should brief Jon Meterparel, Rich Thompson, and the rest of the stenographers about all the things Coach Addazio and his staff had seen on film. Boise State had holes all over the place just waiting to be exposed. Alas, fortunately for Boise State, Mother Nature interfered.
Otherwise this was a very good result. There was no time for Boise State to adjust. Like Coach, I will always take ending a game with a certain lead over playing out the 60 minutes and introducing some chance of losing the game.
Not good for Servpros’ brand building goals for this bowl.
ReplyDelete“They’re Faster to Any Size Disaster” ... albeit not quite the size of this “Addazster”
SERVPRO Franchise Professionals are dedicated to responding immediately to water and storm damage emergencies. A fast response lessens the damage, limits further damage, and reduces cost.

ReplyDeleteDaz put it in the hands of the defense. Well done.
ReplyDeleteWhen asked his plans to get the team out of Texas with storms all around them, Daz replied “All I know is we’ve got AJ Dillon and he can run. So we have a chance.”
ReplyDeleteThe 7 win streak lives. Very fitting conclusion to the season.

ReplyDeleteThe real question is what idiot looked at the radar and allowed the game to even start. Why not delay it until the storms roll through or postpone to tomorrow?
ReplyDeleteTrue
ReplyDeleteFunny comment by Tony Abardo on the 7 fans.
ReplyDeleteYou have to imagine the fact that the BC weather delay stacked up the other "nobody cares" bowls was a contributing factor to the decision to cancel. Once they got beyond 40 minutes delay, you were up against the starting times of the next two bowls. They could drop BC or disrupt their entire schedule. They dropped us like a rock.
ReplyDeleteTony, far more than 7 fans. A dozen parents, six girl friends, a dozen band members, eight cheerleaders and a partridge in a pair tree.
ReplyDeleteThe only thing weirder would have been to have played the game and have Addazio get hit in the head with a lightning bolt followed by his continuation as head coach despite his two eyeballs being permanently fixed looking upward.
ReplyDeleteBlaming Jarmond for this is insane. Look at the radar. it is a widespread storm. As someone who has had to bury a kid, I would much rather we have a no contest than try to play and have a player or fan get electrocuted. Best decision for all involved.

ReplyDeleteMod, call me stupid but when I was a kid I never remember college or pro games being cancelled do to weather. Was weather less dangerous on those days?

ReplyDeleteAs I said earlier, I feel bad for all involved - especially our seniors, and their's as well.
ReplyDeleteAnd then there's Georgia Tech - they stunk the place out. Good riddance to Paul Johnson.
Army 70 Houston 24.
ReplyDeleteArmy 11-2
Army coach replaces Dazzo=Shit
I liked our first series and was very encouraged.
ReplyDeleteWhy we changed it up to the same old obvious play calling in the second series was puzzling - or it wasn't, right?
So I would have been curious how this game played out.
We definitely have the ability to mix it up, which makes AJ all the more effective.
I think he's much better when positioned closer to the line and with a FB ahead of him. When AJ is alone 8 yards behind the LOS, the opponents stack the box with 8 or 9 defenders.
Whoever becomes our new OC has got to stop the STUPID tendancy to tip off our running plays. Give AJ the offense he deserves.
Go BC in 2019 - throw off the shackles.
