In-game comments post: Miami

The final home game for a great group of BC guys. Hopefully they go out in style.

Since the game is on TV, I will not be online during the broadcast. Leave your comments and thoughts below.

  1. Of all people, Fowler just threw Matt Ryan's name back into the Heisman conversation.
    Herby and Corso agreed, too.
    Have to like that!

  2. Gotta love the drive killers: the BC line and Apon.

  3. God, the Miami curse is alive and well. 3 straight penalties in the red zone, a pass interference that was not called and a missed field goal. UGHHHHH!

C'mon defense. Do not let Miami score!

  4. OK guys, 3rd shot at it. You only have to drive 50 yards. Let's score!

I guess the good news is we are wearing down the Hurricane defense.

  5. Is Ryan Purvis hurt?

  6. I feel the curse reversing.......

  7. Love Silva. Little frustrated with the offense, though. Virginia and Virginia Tech both put up over 40 points on this team.

  8. Why did we get away from running the ball? We were running it well in the first series and it keeps the defense honest.

  9. That INT was NOT Ryan's fault.

Hey, Guase with the return INT!

We haven't had a negative comment in a while. Bravesbill... anything going wrong during half time?

  12. OK that INT was Ryan's fault. C'mon karma, Miami has had it for 23 years. Come to our side, please!!!!

  13. Geez, did Henry Hill get to the Miami receivers?

  14. Let's go team and coaches - it's time to separate yourselves from the TOB era.

Why are we letting Miami do this to us? C'mon Coach Logan - give Matt and company some inspiration.

As Lombardi once said "What the hell is going on out there".

  15. I love the call by JAGS. When you have lost for 23 years, you have to absolutely battle for a win. You are already in the ACC Championship and you have to send the message that you are here on Senior Day to win and reverse the curse.

Boy, this offense looks anemic! Both of next week's possible opponents put up 40 on Miami. Does not bode well for next week, which means we desperately need to win today.

  16. This is not good - I thought this game would be different.

  17. This game has all the makings of the game last year. BC plays awful and blows a small halftime lead. Matt Ryan does not look good at all.

  18. Big Jack, where have you been for the past 23 years? This is typical BC - Miami. I'm just hoping for a different outcome today. I think if we score 7 more points, we will win.

  19. This is unbelievable - WTF.

  20. Matt Ryan IS NOT Heisman material. He's been a turnover machine the last 5 games.

  21. Boy, the karma is stuck in no man's zone. Just when you think the karma is making its first switch in 23 years, we turn the ball over again! I guess the karma was so entrenched on the Miami side that it just takes a lot of effort to get it to cross over to the good side. Now, I'm big time nervous.

  22. Look, who cares about the Heisman. Ryan lost it with the Florida State game. I want BC to win and put away 23 years of misery.

  23. Hello Eagleboston:

I was hoping this year would be different. We're at home on Senior Day, etc. We are a better team and a better organization this year.

Miami "knows" they can beat us - and they lay down for other teams. It would be a disgrace to lose to a team with no guts and no backbone like Miami this year.

    This is already a disgrace.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Just like last year - only it's happening at home. This is an absolute disgrace.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Well, I'm done, I'm switching to the Virginia vs. Va Tech game. I can't watch anymore of this. Too many years, too much pain to this opponent.

    ReplyDelete
  26. VA and VA Tech both look like they could kill BC next week if BC keeps this crap up.

  27. I'm sorry - I'm just going to shut up now. Can't believe I hurried home from the golf course to watch the second half of this debacle.

If we don't see a turnaround on this coming drive - right now - those who said this game is meaningless have prevailed - and it means the coaches and players are going to Jacksonville with a DISGRACEFUL LOSS.

  28. I'd argue that we really haven't played a great game since Bowling Green and the week before that, we let UMASS hang around. Why can't we put away these mediocre teams?

    ReplyDelete
  29. OK, I lied. I never turned the channel. I guess I have too much hope that it's finally our turn.

    ReplyDelete
  30. It seems there are two camps on this game with BC fans. Those that remember Flutie's pass and those that don't. The younger crowd has labeled this game as "meaningless." The older fans are desperate for a win against this team and are tired of losing to these guys. I'm 40 and I was 17 when Flutie threw the pass. I have seen nearly every loss since then, and this game is anything but "meaningless" to me.

    ReplyDelete
  31. BC is way too inconsistent. It gains 45 total yards in the 3rd quarter, but then makes it look easy and scores on 2 plays in the fourth. What in the world is going on?

    ReplyDelete
  32. I wouldn't say this game is meaningless, but if I to choose what game to win, of course I'd pick next week. As long as BC wins next week, that's all that matters. Hypothetically, if BC had to sacrifice this game to rest up injured people, I'd be all for it if it meant that BC had a better chance of winning next week.

  33. The curse is over!!!!!!!!!

    Karma, welcome back!!!!

Ok, I know I'm premature, but I want this win bad!

  34. Where have these kick-offs been all season?

    ReplyDelete
  35. Bravesbill, I'm greedy. I want to win both games. However, I think if Va Tech is the opponent, we are in deep, deep trouble. Costanzo can't stop Ellis (actually, no one can stop Ellis) and they shut us out for over 50 minutes without stud linebacker Vince Hall. Meanwhile, our D is so riddled with injuries that Glennon and Tyrod Taylor (who also did not play in the first game), should be able to score at will. If Dunbar can play the majority of plays, I think we have a shot. If not, it could get ugly next week. That is why we need to get to 10 wins this week.

  36. Eagleboston and bravesbill:

This game is VERY MEANINGFUL to me as well.

I'm 61 and I'm sick of these guys from Miami - sick of them.

Let's take this one home and not allow another score.

    ReplyDelete
  37. The good news is that Spaz is actually utilizing the blitz much more frequently. That is the only way BC will be able to beat Va Tech. BC can't give Glennon 10 seconds to throw the ball every time like last game.

  38. A very Merry Christmas!!

    And a Happy New Year!

Let's hope it's a good one, without any fear.

The Curse is over...if you want it.
