In-game comments post: Notre Dame
Is this it? Does this miserable season turn tonight? I hope so. Win or lose, I am sure there will be plenty to talk about. Leave your thoughts and comments below.
Go Eagles! I'm in Newton Center getting some grub before heading to Alumni. Did not notice many ND fans the past couple days but now the place is crawling with them.
There are positives to take out of this series. Let's hope the coaches and the team don't miss them by hanging their heads over the mistakes. Now kick the field goal and let's get 3.
halftime . . .we're in this game. wouldda been nice to be down one score. nice play calling by martin good mix or run and pass. no more false starts, 12 man in the huddle penalties. focus. we can get this win
Every shot of Kelly he is looking at play charts, coaching his players, working the refs, etc. Bottom line he his coaching. Spas has his headset off, looks bewildered, not talking to anyone. I know I am beating a dead horse but this failed coaching experiment needs to be over immediately.
Let's take a page from the late 60's for this BC vs. ND collision:
ReplyDelete"HALLUCINATE!"--Tim Leary
"Can this really be the end? To be stuck outside o' Mobile with the Memphis blues again?"--Bob Dylan
"Help! I need somebody! Help! Not just anybody! Help! You know I need someone! HELP!!!--The Beatles
"Together baby we can break this trap, we'll run til we drop and we'll never go back!" Bruce Springsteen
GO EAGLES!! Beat Notre Dame!!!
If Bama can get smoked maybe we do have a chance?
ReplyDelete23-21 E-A-G-L-E-S!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ReplyDeleteFirst good news of the night: we are wearing traditional helmets.
ReplyDeleteTypical BC D. Cannot stop them on third down.

ReplyDeleteThat's not the first time they've held like that
ReplyDeleteball!!
ReplyDeleteatta boy, deuce
ReplyDeleteboth catchable balls
ReplyDelete"spiffy" needs to catch that ball
ReplyDeleteDrives without points are killers. But Chase is giving us a chance.
ReplyDeletetheres no way gholston had that 1st down
ReplyDelete8 for 8 on 3rd downs. embarrassing
ReplyDelete"So you're saying there's a chance ..."
ReplyDeleteOur third down defense is a joke.
ReplyDeleteAnother inspiring interview from Spaz.

ReplyDeleteThe entire BC crowd is completely deflated right now. That last TD was a dagger. And I'm betting Kelly tells them at half that 'Bama lost.

ReplyDeletedefensively . . . no more 7minute+ drives. contain eifhert double cover him
ReplyDeleteOur D line is the worst I've seen in 20 years of watching BC.
ReplyDeleteNo pressure. Coverage breakdowns. Down 18. Ballgame.
ReplyDeleteand in that, the d line's shortcomings were writ large for all to see.
ReplyDeletegood night folks
ReplyDeleteboys playing men. We can't tackle to save our lives.
ReplyDeleteWe are wasting a nice game from Rettig.
ReplyDeleteWhat a rough year for Swigert.
ReplyDeleteWe stopped them on a third down!!!
ReplyDeleteany way we can get golic out of the booth? making a tough night unbearable
ReplyDeleteyay on 3rd down stop.
ReplyDelete2 for deuce. did dudek get hurt?
ReplyDeletegood protection
ReplyDeleteMusberger auditioning to play the part of statler or hilton in the next muppets movie?
ReplyDeleteI don't mind the field goal there but we need some defensive stops.
ReplyDeleteAnother turnover without getting any points.
ReplyDeleteNotre Dame's runners aren't even getting touched until they are five yards beyond the line of scrimmage.

ReplyDeleteRositano's got to pull that down. That could have been a Pick 6.
ReplyDelete"It's been one of those kind of years" -- Herbie.
ReplyDeleteHe was talking about ND, but it applied to BC too.
It would be nice it the guys protected Rettig with that much passion while the play was live.
ReplyDeleteagain a disappointing saturday night.
ReplyDeleteIs romanowski our best spokesperson? Frightening.
