Don't take this game lightly! Maine beat a FBS team last year (ok, it was only UMass). But this will be a good test for our team's focus and maturity. Are they ready to compete every week? Can they handle the comedown off of the USC win? Let's hope so. Leave your thoughts and comments on the game below.

Those there: how full are the stands?
ReplyDeleteLooks like many no shows. Must be a lot of people trying to hit the Cape one last time.
ReplyDeleteDefense has to defend another short field.
ReplyDeleteStudent section looks pretty full
ReplyDeleteIs anyone else's espn3 feed really delayed.
ReplyDeleteWow, lucky they did not call 17 for pass interference.
ReplyDeleteWhy are we passing?
ReplyDeleteAgain, why are we passing?
ReplyDeleteThis is the type of start I worried about.
ReplyDeleteCan the Defensive Line play offense for us this week? They seem to be the only ones that came to play.
ReplyDeleteClassic letdown game here.
ReplyDeleteNo need to panic, but this team needs to get their heads right.
That TD is on Connor. There was no reason for him to reach over and grab the facemask. Need to clean up the penalties before ACC play.
ReplyDeleteSherm is your playmaker and he has yet to touch the ball
ReplyDeleteOne of my biggest pet peeves is when receivers run routes on 3rd down short of the sticks. We need to pick up this first down.
ReplyDeleteSpaz would never have gone for it there. Great call by Daz
ReplyDeleteSherm!!!!!
ReplyDeleteNeed to clean up these penalties!!
ReplyDeleteNot happy about the 3 but we just need to keep plugging away with the run. Maine is definitely going to wear down.
ReplyDeleteWow, that QB is a big boy.
ReplyDeleteThat is more like it.
ReplyDeleteMurphy is the best at faking handoffs of anyone!
ReplyDeleteMurphy keeping it should be our whole offense the rest of the game.
ReplyDeleteIs that his longest TD run of the season?
ReplyDeleteThe lack of a passing game is killing BC. Cannot go into ACC play without a single threat in the passing game.
ReplyDeleteI understand passing to keep Maine honest, but I think we should run until we have a firm lead.
ReplyDeleteWhere is the safety???
ReplyDeleteThe ESPN3 feed is terrible I am way behind.
ReplyDeleteThis team lost to Bryant. The horror!
ReplyDeleteMy fear now is that guys will start pressing and trying to do too much. Just need one nice drive.
ReplyDeleteTied with Maine deep in the second quarter. Meanwhile, a horrible Iowa team is hanging with Pitt. I'm really concerned about this BC team. The good news is we are young and will improve with each game. The bad news is we have no passing ability and our defensive backs are the worst I have seen at BC in a long time.
ReplyDeleteI agree ATL. Don't be pretty. Just keep pounding the football. Feed Sherm a few times and try to get up by 7.
ReplyDeleteThey have pretty much shut down Hilliman today.
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure why Willis isn't getting more touches. He really seems like the most explosive RB that we have. Certainly compared to rouse.
ReplyDeleteHow does Bordner get so wide open?
ReplyDeleteThere is the cushion we need. Nice drive.
Ouch, missed extra point. Boy, do we miss Freese.
The Bordner TD shows how wide open guys can be when the other team is so focused on our running.
ReplyDeleteThe missed PAT is scary.
ReplyDeleteDanny, I agree. BC has the luxury of several backs and I think you need to go with who has the hot hand. That was Hilliman last week. Seems to be Willis today. Although Sherm had 2 nice runs in the first and has not received the ball since.
ReplyDeleteMaine got away with block in the back on that QB run for the first down.
ReplyDeleteAnother sack by Josh!!!
ReplyDeleteWe need points on this drive.
ReplyDeleteI love Sherm!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteOK, a minute left. Wish we had those timeouts we burned.
ReplyDeletePhillips needs to haul that in.
ReplyDeleteI guess I just don't understand using Rouse. He's like a poor man's Willis. I don't like running Alston exclusively out of the backfield, but it's clear we need to find more ways to get the ball into his hands.
ReplyDeleteThat facemask by 90 was hard to take.
ReplyDeleteDammit, we are so thin at O-line.
ReplyDeletePitt just lost to Iowa. Bad loss for the ACC and leaves me very concerned that BC is not going to fare well in ACC play.
ReplyDelete3 for 3 on 4th down today.
ReplyDeleteMaine is getting tired.
ReplyDeleteOK, let's clear the starters and put in the scrubs.
ReplyDeleteVa Tech-Georgia Tech is n awesome game. GT trying to score the winning field goal.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely time to bring in Wade. Give the kid some reps.
ReplyDeleteVa Tech loses 2 straight at home. Wow!
ReplyDeleteWe better not see Murphy the rest of the game.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Daz, for bringing back O-line U!
It's also nice to see so many sacks after the dearth of sacks in the Spaz era.
ReplyDeleteJohnson having a nice game.
ReplyDeleteWade's first pass was nice.
ReplyDeleteFirst 4th down BC did not convert.
ReplyDeleteDon't rest on Colorado State. They are fully capable of coming into Chestnut Hill and beating the Eagles.
