No word on Dillon and Addazio talks

There is still no word on Dillon's injury, nor White's or Smith. Addazio didn't provide any information in his postgame and BC's released nothing Sunday. For what it is worth, Dillon is posting highlights on Social Media, so he seems to be in good spirits. We will see how news of his health impacts the line on the game.

I haven't watched the game back yet, but Addazio doesn't seem as frustrated or concerned as most fans. I agree with him on the team's perseverance...I would just prefer that the games don't get to a point where you need to persevere.

  4. Hey, mod. I'm Italian and loved the joke

  5. I thought it was pretty funny too! FYI - trust you all saw the news about Whipple being suspended by UMass for saying the refs "raped" us during their most recent game. I guess he meant to say "screwed us" and his brain farted out something dumber.

  6. Season rests on Dillon being okay. White & Smith are needed back as well. Hopefully they are all okay.

Love Glines as backup to AJ, maybe able to give him a bit more rest. Daz is right he is tough as nails and does a bit of everything

Allen was incredible and going to need more of that vs Finley on Saturday.

Eagles win Saturday and they are most likely back in top 25 (or close) and have very winnable game vs Louisville before Miami

Have to find a way on Saturday, Brown needs to play his best game of season. Doesn’t need the stats but has to be better then vs Wake. No turnovers and make accurate throws.

  7. Also, Levy made a "got to have" first down showing great balance and athleticism when it was 38 to 35, I think. Not too many guys could have done that - and I hope he is recognized more by the coaches.

  8. This upcoming game against NC State really concerns me. Finley is by far the best qb we’ll face so far this season, and perhaps the entire season. Our defense has proven to be a sieve against inferior opponents. Daz needs to get the defense figured out this week or this will get ugly real fast on Saturday.

  9. As of today the rankings show Alabama has only two teams on their schedule that rank in the top 30. Maybe the weakest set of opponents of a highly ranked team. Contrast that to BC. Five of their next seven games are against top 28 teams ( AP Poll). Bama's non conference slate is Louisiana, Ark.St., Citadel and the worst ACC team Louisville. Frailty thy name is Bama. Saban only schedules lightweights. UMass almost beat Miss. St. and Tennessee last year. Yet the hype machine at CBS and ESPN will tell you how great the SEC is. Don't swallow the propaganda. 2. How nutty is the UMass. AD? They suspend Whipple for using the word rape. Did they ever read the book The Rape of Nanking? Can that word be used in other contexts? Of course. PC gone wild.

  10. I guess I was only partially paying attention but didn't Kobay White get back into the game? He should be fine if so.

  11. Erik, White did return which is a great sign. Dillon seems to be fine too given his availability on the sideline for the remainder of the game. While I think Kobay White is our most talented receiver, Jeff Smith has had a better season thus far so I'm more concerned about his injury. I don't even remember seeing him getting injured during the game, but hopefully it's nothing serious and he is good to go against NC State.

  12. When Finley shreds the BC defense, I’m sure the up tempo offense will be used as the excuse.

  15. NED - a special edition of the "Rape of Nanking" called "Non - Consensual Bad Things in Nanking" has been issued to the UMass library. Whipple should just get used to saying "bad things" when referring to the refs - as in the "refs did bad things to us". Anything more than that will be too hot to handle over in Amherst. But some schools like Georgetown, on the other hand, are more tolerant as a professor there just tweeted on the Kavanaugh thing "Look at [this] chorus of entitled white men justifying a serial rapist’s arrogated entitlement. All of them deserve miserable deaths while feminists laugh as they take their last gasps. Bonus: we castrate their corpses and feed them to swine? Yes.” I can only imagine what she'd be able to say about the officiating at a Georgetown game.

  16. Perhaps if Whipple had the presence of mind to say "the refs then treated us like a teenage girl on a date with Brett Kavanaugh" - it would have been overlooked. Still - I think "bad things" is safer.

  17. Harvard dropped Kavanaughs class this semester. Seems odd they wouldn't want someone with his perspective, being accused /being a defendant teaching a course. He is probably the best person to teach the law in American history.

Can someone remind me when I took my like detector test?

  19. Herald lists Dillon and Smith as questionable for Saturday.

I don't like this ACC policy of not reporting injury status.
