I'll be in South Bend, but I am REALLY glad to see a WPB game watch scheduled!!!!!!! Who coordinated that one?

So, for people who live outside of New England or the Southeast, this will be the only second game on free or basic cable (and I think the first for people on the west coast).
So, God forbid these clubs give people an opportunity to watch the games they can't watch at home w/out ordering ESPN gameplan or watching on their computers, and instead they focus on a game that can be watched on any TV set in America.
Another example of BC acting like the ND game is the most important game on the schedule.
I'm lucky, I live in Boston, drive to every game in 10 minutes, and catch local coverage when available -- but I feel the pain of eaglestalon. Great point that its less important to do these events when the games are fully available to a national audience.
I kind of feel similarly about NESN or Ch 38 picking up random BC basketball home games and not road games. There's 4000 available tickets, people in Eastern Mass can attend the game if they want to see it. Show me some away games that I can't see through a different avenue.

If you don't like the way a volunteer event is run, volunteer and run it.
Unless you're the one putting in the time and energy to make these things happen, I'm sorry--there's not a lot of room to complain on your end.
The people running those events are volunteers and are not paid by BC. Think they should be held more often?
Get involved with your chapter and help, change it for the better.

Now I'm supposed to organize 12 gamewatches a year for every club in the country? I'm not complaining about the people that volunteer or don't volunteer, but I just can't help but notice that the BC-ND game is always treated as the biggest game on the schedule.
And I particularly love watching BC fans deny the fact that the ND game is BC's superbowl when a ND fan mentions it. I'm sure there's a sizable portion of the BC fanbase that would rather see BC beat ND than sweep the remaining ACC games.
How much money does one have to donate to the Flynn Fund to even get a crack at tickets to a BC game in south bend? Has BC yet played in an ACC road game in which they haven't had to return unsold tickets to the home team?
The answer is $1000 (minimum flynn fund donation for the year to be able to purchase road tix for BC/ND game).

There are plenty of clubs and people who volunteer every week to make sure exactly that happens. If your local chapter isn't providing that, then my point is that instead of complaining about someone else not volunteering enough for you, get involved and do it yourself.

I am saying if you want to bitch about there not being enough game watches the rest of the year (your point being that the clubs, in your eyes, make this game the BC Super Bowl and thus really put forth a lot of effort so that everyone can watch it together), get involved with your local chapter and remedy the situation yourself.
The people who put these events on don't get paid this weekend or any other. To complain about people who donate their time and energy--if you're not doing anything (I don't know if you are or not)--seems a little asinine to me.
