Season Prediction

New season. New QB. New coordinators and even a new President! With all that in mind and with a big belief in the influx of talent, I think BC gets to .500 this year. We were better than our record last year and I think O'Brien has and will continue to make adjustments.

I am rooting for him. I love BC Football and when things turn bad, what should be fun becomes a chore. That hope could be setting me up for disappointment but I believe. Here is how I am telling myself it will play out.

at Cincinnati - W - all openers are big. This is huge. Win this and the season starts to seem manageable.

Rutgers - W - we are not losing at home on September 11 to Rutgers.

Maine - W - happy times.

Virginia Tech - W - I actually think VT will be a mess and getting them at home works well for us.

at SMU - L - I don't know if we are ready for road game shootouts yet.

Pitt - L - close, physical game. Real letdown because it will feel winnable.

at Georgia Tech - W - I think it will be like the Pitt game, but we win a close one instead of lose.

at Duke - L - back to back road wins are unlikely at this point.

Florida State - L - they looked better than I expected in Week 0.

at Notre Dame - L - I want to win this one, but that is a tough road task. If we are hanging with the Irish in November then you know we really hit on our portal evaluations.

Syracuse - W - six wins and a bowl game.

at Miami - L - I expect the Hurricanes to be the best team in the conference.

With a 6-6 record, we get a bowl invite. I don't think we will have a lot of elite talent so most of our kids play in the bowl and we win to finish 7-6. Deja Vu in a lot of ways, but better than last year.
