The good news is that BC scheduled another Power 5 series. The bad news is that it is more than a decade away. When BC plays Stanford in 2028 and 2029, both schools will be very different and very likely playing under different coaches.
This is a step in the right direction on many fronts. Stanford is a good role model on how an Athletic Department should look. We have legions of fans in California who will jump at the chance to see a game in person. Even with potential coaching changes down the road, adding Stanford helps BC's perception. We can sell this type of scheduling to the media and recruits.
My doubt about the series is still in effect. If the ACC adds a ninth game, this series could be in trouble. If the Power 5 break off, this series could be in jeopardy. Future football coaches and ADs from both schools might not want to play the game.
Brad Bates deserves credit for signing the deal. Now let's hope this one stays and we get more schedule quality in the coming seasons.

Congrats Brad? What has this guy been doing schedule-wise for the past 4 years??? BC already had ND on the Schedule before BB arrived. What has he accomplished? relationships with UConn and UMass, Purdue and MAC teams? wow. Terrible work BB.

2028? Hope the stadium is wheel chair accessable.

I almost spit my coffee out when I saw everybody on BCI celebrating over something that won't happen for another fifteen years and acting like it absolved years of Brad Bates underperforming.
Mod,
You hit the nail on the head. Having ND on the schedule isn't a byproduct of the fruits of BB's labor, ND is contractually bound to play us more years than not no matter what. Then what? Purdue? MAC teams? Yukon? I'm not flying up from ATL to see any of them. Maybe I'll catch the Clemson game or drive to Tallahassee.
Eagle Esquire= Mod?
obsessed much troll CT?
Nope. A guy that's been following BC since the year TOB took'em to the Insight Bowl and reads this site daily.
BCI comments on this topic are nearly the same with u two. And anyone who says Mod hit the nail on the head is suspect, let's be honest. Furthermore, there's only one human on here who is obsessed. Pretty clear, right ol' Mod buddy?
thanks bitch.
How about trying to refute the substance of what we said as opposed to resorting to simple insults. Assuming your tiny mind has the capacity to do so of course. I guess you would rather suborn BB's incompetence than call a spade a spade. He's been there since 2012. He had plenty of time to rectify this.
