Congratulations to Matt Milano and John Johnson. Both received invites to the NFL Combine. This doesn't guarantee that either will be drafted, but the Combine is the best place to generate interest. The guys will be facing the best of the best and get to prove the belong. While this is really about Milano and Johnson, it is also good news for BC. The school can use their success as another thing to sell to recruits. Addazio can say we develop recruits for the next level.
Does anyone remember Milano and Johnson's status as recruits? Milano was 3 star from Florida, but was ignored by the traditional powers in his own state. He did not even receive an offer from Central Florida or South Florida. His only other Power 5 offer was from Arizona. Johnson's offer list was a little better, but he was only rated as a 2 star. And as he mentioned during the bowl game, Johnson was ignored by Maryland despite playing in their backyard. As high schoolers, neither projected as future NFL stars. And although they were recruited by Spaz, most casual fans don't know that. They were part of "Addazio's first Signing Day." He can tell other recruits, "I found these guys and my staff made them better."
Milano and Johnson might not be the only success stories out of this group of BC seniors. BC will have its own Pro Day in March when others on the roster can show their stuff. Good luck to all of them.

Happy for both of these guys and definitely rooting for them. But let's be clear: Don Brown made these guys better. And where is he now???? Not at BC.
I appreciate ATLs attempts to find the positive angle in every story, but this is sort of putting lipstick on the pig. Daz is a disaster and recruits and their families know it. Until we get a head football coach that truly embodies the values of our University, we'll successfully recruit the kids who want an excellent education and who also happen to play football. Excellence on the field will merely be a coincidence as long as Daz is at The Heights.

There were 330 players invited, 2 are from BC and that's reason to celebrate? Are you crazy? There were 2 players invited from Eastern Washington, 2 from Memphis, 2 from Ohio, 4 from San Diego State, 4 from Temple, 2 from Tennessee State, 2 from UTC, 3 from Toledo and 2 from Youngstown State.
2 BC players being invited is just further proof they have a terrible football program.

Well SDSU and Temple do have better programs currently than BC does...even though Daz tried his best to tank one of those programs. It is pretty pathetic that BC has as many players invited as multiple FCS schools.
CT is correct. We suck. His school, on the other hand, inspite of its behind the scenes lobbying, might well get the equivalent of the death penalty from the NCAA.
We suck, but hopefully will rebound someday. UNC is a program of crooks, which may never be lived down.
