Road warrior

This article, which references Jags visiting a Virginia Beach high school, sparked an entry that is long overdue -- Jags' travels. From these various articles and stuff shared here and there, this guy is hitting the road hard. He's been all over the southeast in Georgia, Florida, the Carolinas, Virginia and had a handful of trips to the midwest. Of course he and the whole staff are hitting New England, New Jersey and eastern PA. While many of the top coaches travel constantly, it is another change for us. TOB had become a homebody the past few seasons. It showed in our recruiting. How we perform on the field will be the ultimate selling point with recruits, but getting the face time at their high schools never hurt.

This is a great sign to see Jags and Logan out on the road, not only selling the school, but selling the system.

In order for these guys to implement the scheme that they talk about and have historically found success with, we need to get the type of players on campus that will thrive in the system.

Matt Ryan is a teriffic player, and will be a great quarterback next year and beyond. However, Matty will not be running around in the pocket like Logan envisions.

If Jags and Logan can sell their vision to recruits, things might get even more interesting on the Heights...

ATL - I've been a lurker on your blog for a long time, and I just wanted to say that you do a great job with it.

I never had a Google account, but was compelled to sign up just to give that fellow Brighton resident a piece of my mind. Otherwise, I would have told you what I thought of the blog a long time ago.

Its great to see our coaches going after these guys but I think there is still a huge question remaining as to whether we can actually land players like this...
