BC can play Beamer Ball

I often get caught up in the minutiae of BC football and miss the forest for the trees. For example, my game-to-game perception is that BC special teams have been horrible. But that is overly influenced by the early struggles on kickoffs, Tribble fair catching everything and Aponavicius’ limited range. The reality is that the special teams have been decent and better than most of college football. Take a look at Phil Steele’s special team’s rankings:

As you can see our opponent for Thursday night remains one of the most consistent special teams units in the country. But BC is a very respectable 33rd out of 120. I think special teams will be a factor against the Hokies and still favors Virginia Tech. However, our special teams are better than most, so I don’t expect the Hokies to break open the game with special teams like they did against Clemson.

It looks like we're turning into Florida State. At the very end of the interview Albright lists Weeds as one of his favorite shows. Great thing to put out there after the Sean Williams problem last year.

As a Hokie in Atlanta, I had to comment when I stumbled upon this blog. I spent about 8 months consulting to Boston College back in 2003 (I have a Eagles SUper Fan tshirt that is all yours if you want it). I went to Alumni Field with all my Hokie gear on and had a friend take a picture of me at the 50 yard line. We proceeded to lose to you guys in Blacksburg....anyway, good luck to you and your team...GO HOKIES!

I couldn't click on that Phil Steele link because he chose us to finish last in the ACC Atlantic.

"Tech's going to win. I don't know how, but Tech's going to win"

Jaba, who cares?? It's a fictional TV show. I love 24, doesn't mean I go around torturing people
